This has got to be a first for me.. a quick read (68pg kindle)and dont have anything to complain about. (smiles. I enjoyed it all the way around, I went back and forth wanting to hug the sweet bratty little sub. If you pay attention you will see there is more to her than just what she lets be seen. The Dom yeah I felt sorry for Him at times, He more or less tried to ease the sub into what He required. He soon found out that if He allows her, her own way.. she would run right over Him. Its time to buck up butter cup. (smiles)
After a "incident" the Dom goes about determined to be who He is letting the little cutie, the Man that is a Dom like she has never known. He will leave her with choices... and what will she choose?

I think I've found my new favorite couple! David and Lacy are great together, they really balance each other out. He's a serious Dom where she is a funny, bratty submissive. This book gives a peek into their first few dates and interactions. I have to say that I found myself laughing out loud few times.
I can't wait to start Requested Surrender by Riley Murphy.

This is so very short book, but a great introduction to what I suspect is going to be a great book.
This book introduces David who is an experienced Dom, who currently doesn't have a sub, and so is looking for one. Linda on the other hand is the potential sub, who tells David from the outset that she is an experienced sub who has actually been a slave. From what she's said and done with Dave I don't believe this to be the case, unless she's just testing him. She sounds very naive .
Can't wait for the next in this series.

Oh my word! This short and sexy audiobook was delicious!
A Date with a Dom was my fist Riley Murphy book ever! A ridiculously fun story. It kept me entertained and wanting more. I bought the follow up right after.
But, the narration just pulled it all together. The two narrators just blended as one. Making it a magical experience.

I was given this book by Paranormal Romance and Authors that rock, for an honest review.
this is an introduction to Lacy and David. they have met, and are discussing how to proceed with their "relationship" it tells of their first few dates, that Lacy and David have agreed to, to get to know each other. David is a Dom and Lacy is not that way inclined, or that's what the blur says.
super short, 68 pages, but hot in all the right places. the texting sessions were especially good! I love how we hear from both David and Lacy.
I only gave it 3/5 for the following reasons, it IS short, but meant as such. still, only took me 30 mins to read it (and I would have bben disappointed had I paid for it) I would like to have heard how they met, and how they came to be having these dates, cos there is none of that. also, there is the first chapter to their full story Requested Surrender, so this story cuts off at 75%. I didn't read the chapter, since I have that book to read next.
it is part of a series, and I have not read those, but don't feel as I have missed anything.

Lacy isn't sure she's interested in the kind of relationship that David is offering, but she's not so sure she can refuse either. What will happen when she goes on a date with a Dom?
This short story/novella certainly served to whet my appetite for more. The characters are realistic and their interactions frequently had me giggling to myself (laughing out loud around my children leads to questions that I'm not always comfortable answering, and that would certainly have been the case with this book.) David is clearly a confident alpha male who likes to be in control, but he's willing to compromise when necessary to achieve his goals which made him much more likeable in my eyes. Lacy is his somewhat unwilling sub, although the conflict seems to be largely in her head and there are hints that there's more to her hesitancy than we currently know. She is quite sassy and I love how she works to push David's buttons every chance she can. I will definitely be reading more from this series.

This is a prelude to Requested to Surrender, so it is a short snippet into how it all starts with David and Lacy. This short book spans over a few dates between the two and it makes you eager to read more and to find out what happens!

As much as she doesn't want to, she's interested in Him more & more.
As short as this was, it still gave us a lot of information. Made me grateful i already had the next book. What will David do next??? Will Lacy go for it?

David and Lacy know each other because their 4 friends (featured in books #2 and #3) are in relationships.
Despite being attracted to each other, Lacy is wary of beginning a relationship with the quiet Dom, David. He, however, is determined to show her how good they can be together.
Lacy is testy and stubborn and thinks she knows what she's in for but David is full of surprises.
This little taster is a very quick read (20 mins for me) and sets the scene perfectly for book #4. It's wet my appetite and I intend on digging straight in to see where their story leads.

This is a very effective teaser for the full story which is told in Requested Surrender. It is a great introduction to the characters. Their encounters and texting in-between give us an tempting insight into what is to come.
I went straight to the sequel and absolutely loved it too - it meant more because of the context I gained here.

3.5 stars. Riley is an excellent storyteller. I loved (in a gushy, swoon-like manner) the main male character - David. The female character - Lacy - made me cringe. I know of no vet that acts as immature as she does. It's almost like she's 18 and just out of high school. I have a need for her to grow up a bit and to show brattiness in a smarter way.

A Date wit a Dom by Riley Murphy was a great quick read. David is a Dom that wants to be lovers wth Lacy, but she just wants a friendship. She is afraid a failed relationship with ruin their friendship. They decide to try a trial relationship. I loved this prelude to Requested Surrender. This was a great read and I can't wait to read more of David and Lacy's story.
