Bayou Bishops
Oh man! I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The Bayou Bishops are not like any MC I ever read. The heat is Carolina Reaper hot! So thank you for that! Looking forward to reading more of the Bayou Bishops, and hopefully getting answers to earlier questions. Like how are none of the wives fat and pregnant? The way they are sexing it up with The Twelve they should have a few kids by now, but that’s just my opinion.

DNF for now. I’ll update if I finish. It’s been a month of just struggling to get into this series. First book had a lot of background, was a bit slow but I appreciated the chemistry build up. But it’s like a soap opera in that we never seem to get a full story just on the two characters in that book that are supposed to fall for each other. I guess I got through three books and I don’t even know what happened to the characters in book 2. Not to mention book 3 ends on a cliffhanger with the couple from book 3 and just slides into a new book and couple. And mostly it’s because we keep going back to couple number 1 so they can continue their story and have sex. I almost quit in the middle of book 1 as there’s not a ton of structure and I was getting confused with what the storyline was. Then I pushed through only to start number 2 without really an ending for number 1, and before we can even figure out what’s going to happen with couple 2 all of a sudden we are at number 3. I might peck away at the book, but it’s not going to be something that I’m real interested in reading anymore.
****update: finally finished this book set and I’m just not real sure where the high reviews are coming from. Is there a lot of sex, yes. But is it particularly steamy or spicy? I’d argue that it’s about the same through each couple. Some get to the sex sooner while others stick with oral sex for a while. When it started talking about bats and Nitro turned into this Batman figure I mostly just skimmed to see how it would end. Sadly it didn’t really, just left more books to get and the way these stories are, I’m not paying $3 for a story about a couple that’s not really about the couple.

An unfolding story
Twelve stories, but one tale.
The swamp is run by The Twelve, each man responsible for the people and families that live in his area. A dozen or so years ago, they vowed to be celibate, but when their leader falls in love, he rescinds the vow and encourages them all to take a wife. This group of stories covers around half of the men.
Every m/f scenario is being covered. Virgins, experience, young, older, tender, rough, and a very bizarre tale which, like the rest, is ongoing. There are some very hot scenes, phew!
The story unfurls, revealing new characters and couples while featuring the existing ones still developing.
There is a lot of conversation, and Bane is excellent, fortunately, at writing convincing exchanges.
I have found the tales compelling, and will be reading more.

This series
All the characters in his series blend together! There's no way they all sound the same and have sex the same way! All the women are the same it gets incredibly annoying. So much religion talk it gets annoying to read! No description of characters. Why are all men and women the same? Cajun words are wrong it's almost as if author looked up French on Google! I am from South Louisiana and Cajun French is my first language. Gets boring! Almost as in he's tying to fill pages

You have to read this book!
I think you should know that I read the first book in this series and loved it! It just made me need to know more so I bought this set and started over from the beginning (1st book)!Lucian Bane has worked his magic in bringing the Bayou Bishops to life. The setting to each character involved is so rich in detail that you feel you are there! You expect heat in the bayou and you can feel it in the words and the men who rule the swamps. The women who find them are unique and they are as passionate as their men. You need to read these books and fall in love with this Authors work like I have💓 Looking forward to reading more from this talented writer and the stories of the Bayou Bishops! Highly recommend!!

Could have been better
There was promise to this storyline that didn't deliver. If you're looking for a book that just has raunchy sex and improbable scenarios these are the books for you! If that's all I was looking for it would've completely delivered, but the storyline had so much promise and it showed up in the first book, and as it went through to the other books, it dwindled away to where it felt like the author was bored with the whole story himself and just wanted to finish the series. He has way too many lose ends at book 12 and no answers to the first 2 books which is what I was looking for. First time reading this author and sadly has me looking for someone else.

This series is absolutely phenomenal!! Never have a read a world like it or has an author had me so invested in the characters and their growth as Lucian has. They quite literally feel like my friends and family.
This unique series gives you a bit of everything, powerful men on bikes 😮💨 feisty women, a brotherhood, loyalty to the end. Loves like no other, can’t forget the spice 🥵 the humour and the friendships built within these pages.
This series is only getting more captivating with each book and I highly recommend diving in no life jacket needed we got you 😏

Amazing books.Addictive!
If you love strong protective men, who only want the women who are destined to be their wives. No cheating after they pair up. Some really interesting people with gifts, some physic, some pre cognitive. You won't believe who's been living in the swamps. Some definitely Big Bads doing evil things, and the Bayou Bishops, said not in our Swamp. These men are all beautiful, and live by a code of ethics, and they each find their perfect wife. Join in the adventure. You will love each one more then the last.

Finding their wives
What an absolutely fabulous set of books which I totally loved and would thoroughly recommend hoping that others enjoy reading them as much as I did. Lucian has created an outstanding series with compelling characters that are so believable. Meet all the Bayou Bishops, their family, friends and eventual wives. Such a brotherhood of outstanding, caring men who can be harsh if necessary but just and the men and women that help to make their swamp land a better place.

Could have been better
I just read all 12 books. With no ending to any of the stories. All the men like to be overly dominant. All of the women are made to look like brainless twits that live to fulfill the men's every wishes, all days or hours of meeting each other. Story lines are just randomly thrown in here and there. I did a lot of backtracking to try and figure out what was going on. People get seriously hurt and you only hear a line or two about it then nothing. To much jumping around with no resolution to any of the stories.

One big bayou family
I really enjoyed the 12 and all their connections. These are not stand alone books they all flow into each other. There are multiple points of view. Each couple is pretty much in every story so you always get a peek into how they are doing. I love books that take you into a whole family and make the connections the box set was basically one ongoing book. Loved them all can't wait to get to the rest.

Over and over
Once was not enough! I am rereading all the books again. From meeting Beth to waiting for the hurricane and the babies to arrive. The action never stops and neither does the totally intense love making. The added intrigue of witchcraft, drug and human trafficking, gun running, crazy swamp vikings, and a hurricane! Never a dull moment around the Bishops and their women. Love it so much that I'm sure I am addicted.

Hot, exciting and well written .
Took me a little while to get into this series as it's unlike anything be read before being based on the bayou and having a whole new language , more than one , to learn . However the more I read the more I got engulfed into the whole thing and I'm now a definite convert !. The stories are great , the relationships are hot with extra hot thrown in for good measure. Not sure who's my favourite yet .

Truly Amazing and Riveting
There wasn’t a moment once I turned the first page of this series that I haven’t been glued to the pages to see what was going to happen next to each one of the Bayou Bishop men. I love how this story line continues from one book into another so that you are constantly connected with all the characters that you have come to love. Lucian Bane is an excellent writer and author and I can’t wait to continue reading this series.

I downloaded the first 12 book box set just before Xmas n just finished today 5/1/26 I was like oh no don't tell me there's no more??? But thank goodness there is!!!
Can't wait to read if Bullets will get his HEA not that the other guys or their wives have had it easy especially with the War due to happen at any point.

Finally
Look, this is such a good read, and hot the clothes melting kind. Yet pure in a way you have to read to understand. Lucian Bane has a way with well storytelling that rivals the first storytelling it's almost primal and pure holy fire at the same time. Don't get me wrong, it is truly something you can only understand when you read his work.

Holy Gaters!
Twelve books in one, and ya go from human trafficking to the Bat King! WTF Lucian???! But I loved the week it took me to read the whole book! And yes I bought the rest of the series! At least what you have out so far! And I bought your CD too!

wow what a story!!!
These books flow so easily through the story as they all intertwined and keep going. When it stopped I wasn’t done,I want to keep going.its interesting and exciting and keeps you hanging on.

What an introduction to the Bayou
I thought this was just another take on MC stories. How wrong I was! Yes there are MC’s in the stories but so much more. There’s a lot of smexy times and lots of love but serious dangers run through. I’m desperate to find out about this.

bayou laws
A little hard work to get into at first book . But from then on it was unput down able . I like how all the characters were introduced so already had banter with them . Also storyline was different for each one. Can’t wait for Bullets book
