This is the continuation of the captivating and mystical story "Passion of an Angel". Time has passed since the first humans were banished from Garden of Eden onto Earth to create their own fate and they were given two choices - one from Heaven and the other from Hell. But the angel who has changed the course of life isn't going to stop here. For him, it isn't enough to seize life on Earth and he craves more. The love he once had for Eva has transformed into revenge to bring Heaven down.
The head archangel realizes very well that the army of Heaven isn't so mighty to stop the attack of the fallen ones. In search of a way out the help comes to the archangel from the most unexpected fallen angel.
There is no avoiding the impending war taking place at the gates of Heaven, but there is a single chance to defeat the army of fallen ones and the head archangel strongly seizes the opportunity.
Favorite Lines “Life has been created from the darkness just as you.”
“These feelings are uncontrollable and everything uncontrollable is dangerous my darling.”
“You’re too cruel to them. The angels are supposed to save life not destroy it,”
“Feelings- they make one mighty but at the same time incredibly weak.”
“I doubt there might be a room for an emotionless creature with the ones who can feel,”
Wow Lucifer and Michael are such brothers. Both wants what the other has but will never admit that. I love reading books about angels and this battle was spectacular! I was really surprised about how the author worked Lilith into it. This author does a good job with the story lines and characters. I can picture each other them clearly. I look forward to reading more from this authors. Great book for any who love angel books!
I was given this book by author in exchange for an honest review
This was a book that captured my imagination from the start. While it usually isn't my chosen genre it was recommended to me by a friend. Mr. Fant has a unique way with words and the unique story really left me wanting more and I was able to picture every scene in my mind. Highly recommend it! It's a quick and easy read now waiting for the sequel!
This short novel is about the enternal struggle between Angels for the control of earth. What is different is that the Angels show character, thay have strengths and weakness, just like humans. Both Lucefer and Michael love a woman and are willing to fight for her.

The book is fast-paced and an easy read. The plot centers around the Biblical record of the war in Heaven and Lucifer and his angels being cast out of Heaven. The book is the author's own interpretation of the events leading up to the War and subsequent expulsion of Lucifer and his angels. Please be aware that the author uses the names and events (the facts) as told to us in The Bible, and that he uses artistic/poetic license to further develop the characters, events, and storyline in order to tell his interpretation, which, by the way, is not-so-factual, and some with conservative Christian values may find some aspects of such rattling and even revolting (i.e. Michael the Archangel having lustful thoughts and there are brief sex acts.).
I like that the author did develop the Angel's personalities, though I am not sure I like the idea that there really wasn't much of a strong contrast between good and evil. The "good" characters really weren't that good, and the "evil" really weren't portrayed as being that evil. Instead the author chose to portray all of them as sinful to varying degrees and (in my opinion) he likened the angels to humans, who are sinful, even the best of us is like filthy rags when compared to the goodness of God. There was something that continued to nag at my conscience and my mind as a read; if the angels were sinful, why did God allow any of these angels to remain in Heaven? God detests sin and would not abide with it in Heaven. It just wouldn't be allowed. He knows our every thought, He sees all and knows all. Therefore, the events that take place in this book just WOULD NOT HAPPEN.
I must also say that if the reader doesn't have a strong knowledge of the Bible's Book of Genesis, the story may be difficult to follow. Also, it seemed there may be a formatting issue as I used Kindle to read it. And I'm not sure if this was professionally edited, but there was spelling errors, grammatical errors, etc that at times made this difficult to read (basically need to reread lines and mentally correct it, add words that were missing or figure out what that misspelled word really was supposed to be).
Overall, I did enjoy reading the book. I did NEARLY finish it all in one evening. It was a page turner, the suspense encouraged me to continue reading. I was not bored with the book at all. It is controversial. I believe this book rates 3.5 stars but because I devoured this book in nearly one sitting, this had me leaning toward 4 stars instead of 3. Thank you for approaching me about reading your books, and I surely would enjoy reading and reviewing any future works by this author.
I was given “Wrath of Michael (Shade of Light #2)” by author Suren Fant in exchange for an honest review. I have read a couple of books already by this author and he never fails to put a controversial spin on religion. Before you read this review, I do want to warn that this is book will spark some controversy with anybody that is religious. This book by no means reflects my views on Christianity or the Bible. However, I do enjoy a good book and this is exactly what this is. ***** In the “Wrath of Michael” we are viewing the world through the eyes of the archangel Michael. The world has populated and the people are sinning in the eyes of the Lord. Michael still has an obsession for Lilith that he is willing to go against the Lord’s ways to be with her. He doesn’t see what he is doing as sin. Yet he watches the humans and judges them on their ways as sinners. Archangel Samael is worried that without accepting the help of God’s army, heaven will fall. Michael is torn on how to protect what God had created. Does he focus on The Garden of Eden or does he protect the golden gates of heaven? In the mean time, Lucifer is busy building his army. He is desperate to bring down the creation of God and rule both Heaven and Hell. Will Lucifer allow for harm to come to his beloved Eva? Will God step in an assist with the battle of battles that is about to take place? Will the humans survive this battle of good vs. evil? ***** I normally write a lengthy review on all the books I read. However, it’s hard to say much when the book is only 80 pages long. If I say too much, then most important part of the book will be given away. Then what is the purpose of reading? As I said earlier, I do enjoy a good controversial book. Mr. Fant has done a fantastic job creating dialog between the angels that makes you feel as if it actually took place. He also handles the sex very tastefully. For some, this could be a huge turn-off; however he does it to where you don’t feel weird for reading it. There is little sex, but enough to add a little spice to this story. Since this story is about how Lucifer fell from the graces of God, it is important to understand what is driving the dark angel. I can’t wait to read more of what Mr. Fant pens. He so far has done a fabulous job in this series.

This book is fast-paced and was an easy read. The plot centers around the war in heaven and Lucifer and his angels being cast out of heaven. The story uses poetic license and the author's own interpretation of the biblical Garden of Eden in helping to stage the back story for the book.
I like the insight into the possible personalities of the archangels and especially how the author dealt with Michael- the main protagonist. From my Christian perspective however, it was little difficult to see Michael in sexual light and that scene was a little rattling to my sensibilities. Thankfully, however, the author dealt with sex in the book as tastefully and briefly as possible.
My main issue is that the end of the book wraps up one aspect of the storyline in a short paragraph. I had expected a little more disclosure on Eva's descendant as it earlier seemed to be an important part to Lucifer regaining entry to heaven.
In some places, the dialogue was also hard to follow but I believe an issue with the formatting of the book on my Kindle contributed to that problem.
I believe this book rates 3.5 stars but my penchant for this book had me leaning to 4 stars instead of 3.
In this short work (only 80 pages), Suren Fant has created a surreal fantasy world based around biblical angels, fallen angels and mankind from the first pages of Genesis. This is quite a difficult thing to do convincingly but he has succeeded by giving the impression of kaleidoscopic images that morph from one to another, dead island to winter wasteland to hell. I was immediately struck by the similarity to a graphic novel; a graphic novel in words. The story involves the fraternal conflict between archangels and the fallen angels, a battle between heaven and Lucifer’s creation, hell, via the Garden of Eden. At its heart this is a debate between good and evil, where the good is not so good and the evil is not so evil.
Stylistically, Fant is addicted to adjectives and adverbs, many repetitive and I found that they stopped the narrative flow; otherwise it would have been a 4-star review Also, it's difficult to build tension when you already know the ending!
Overall, a competent re-telling of the fallen angels story from the bible.
I was given an e-copy of this book by the Author Surant Fant in exchage for an honest review.
I have only given the book a 3star rating as I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first, but that is probably to do with the nature of the war and fighting. However, saying that I did read the whole book as I was intrigued as to how things would pan out and what would happen in the battle between Eden and Heaven and the angel brothers.
The story is very well written and goes into a lot of detail, it describes the scenes and the characters in such a way that you can picture them in your mind (well I could), which to me as a reader is the sign of a good book as it draws you into it.
It is great how the author has turned events from the bible into short stories without them becoming a copy of the original and/or too religious but there is till enough there to link back to it.
thank you for giving me the chance to read this book.
I don't know much about Biblical history, particularly the part where Lucifer is expelled from Heaven. This short fable, which can be read in one sitting, assumes that the reader has a deep familiarity and fascination with the struggle of angels during early Biblical history. For the reader who doesn't know such learnings well, this book can have one feel lost, like a stranger eavesdropping upon a conversation of three friends who have known each other for years.
As for the writing, some passages are beautifully written, but this is not always consistent. The writing is formal, and sometimes stilted, which seems appropriate given the rigor sometimes found in Biblical teachings.
I don't know enough about the Bible to discern if this version of Lucifer is controversial or not. At the very least, it makes me wonder about the original story of Lucifer, and to seek a brief version of the official line in the Bible about what happened to Lucifer.

This book is a short read. Quiet Short that I was a little lost in the beginning, considering I haven't read the 1st book. Story lies on the Archangels and their own feelings, A biblical story with a twist. A twist because it's not what you've learned from Catholic School or Bible Class. It's pretty interesting and intense. I wish it could have been longer.
This quote from Samael will is really really interesting... "Heaven is such a magnificent land and you'll never find such a place on Earth, however, life still remains there. Having two opposite sides struggling against each other makes sense and that's why Father let Lucifer follow his thoughts and leave Heaven-to have an opponent. There should be something intriguing in life to keep it going on and this exists ever since Lucifer made the deal with Father."
I've read the first story of this series "Shade of Light" and both them are very enjoyable, unbelivable new twist of the beginning of all times. In this story we face the war between angels and fallen ones, but even angels aren's as good as we're used to know. They have weaknesses like falling in love with other persons. Here, the big part of the story, we move along the archangel Michael. We see him strong, but at the same time doubting, see him loving, but at the same time hating. He's the leader of the archangels, he is to protect Heaven from his brother Lucifer, but doubts crawl in him as his army isn't as strong as Lucifer's. And as it is written in the brief synopsis of this book - the help comes to the archangel from the most unexpected fallen angel. Have a nice read.
Was offered a free PDF copy of this book in trade for an honest review.
I rated this 4 stars cause even though this wasn't quite my type of book the story line was still interesting enough to keep me reading through it cause I wanted to know what happened between Lucifer and Archangel Micheal and what would happen in the battle for Eden and Heaven and if Lucifer would win or if Micheal would keep Lucifer away from heaven or if Lucifer would take Heaven from Micheal.
I still enjoyed it and was so glad to have been passed this book to review in trade for a free PDF copy.
Thanks so much for the opportunity and I really did enjoy the story.

{Feb 19th 2014} THE REVIEW
4 stars.
I really enjoyed this. I've always been fascinated by these kinds of stories, especially when its rewritten from a different angle. The story really drew me in at some point. Soon all I could do was read, liek a mad scramble to the end. The battle scene was rather spot on. And it was interesting how Fant went about this.
I look forward to reading the first one, and any others that succeed this one! o:

I wanted to like this book, I really did, but I just find something about the way the story was told not to my liking. There was action with the war between heaven and hell but it wasn't enough to hold my attention. There just wasn't enough substance to the story. The characters were okay but I didn't feel a connection for any of them and I did not care for any of them one way or the other. In short, this story just wasn't for me, that doesn't mean that someone else won't like it.
I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review in LoP.
Suren did it again! This 2nd book drew me in from the first page and I was glued. The war between Heaven and Hell has always been an interesting topic since we really don't know what happened, we just know what we are taught. I would like to think that the Angels have feelings and will always be there to stop evil.
I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 bc I would have liked it to be longer. I'm hoping that the next book will be out soon as I am interested in reading that as well .
Amazing book. I absolutely love all things supernatural and this book... really, it took my breath away. The author knows how to create an interesting plot, make it so, so interesting and always with that tension making us want more and more on what on Earth is happening. I loved to see Michael so divided and whatching him deal with it. There isn't much to say because I don't want to spoil it, but for the fans of the genre, it's a must. And I will check on more of this author This book will leave you drooling for more.
I was given a e-copy of this book by Surant Fant in exchange for an honest review.
I was not a huge fan of this book. The story was interesting and a nice take on the biblical perspective, however it could have been a little better written in places. The battle scenes were great but the dialogue was hard to follow sometimes. All in all it was a good story but there was room for improvement.
one found this ebook most pleasing, one found the battle scene ones favourite part. one found it difficult to connect with Michael. One would deffinately pick this up as a paperback, one will be on the lookout for a sequel.

This book was excellent! I could hardly put it down! I was immediately hooked! The writing was great, the characters were amazing and I really enjoyed the plot! I'll definitely be reading this book again!
4.3 rating; I read this book three times before I would write this evaluation. I loved it! Such passion and imagination went into this story about Michaels' part in the ongoing war of the human race and beyond. Highly recommended read.
Interesting perspective on the story regarding Angels, Heaven and Lucifer's demise. Felt there were too many new characters and locations introduced at once which made it a bit difficult to follow the action. Overall, a quick read and can't wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds.
Darn, it was just to short. I wanted to keep reading and wish the story were longer. Guess I will have to watch for more of the "Shade of Light" series. Thanks Mr. Fant for the book.
