Worst Little Golden Book I’ve ever read. Definitely for little kids just learning to read.

This isn't much of a story, but it is so old and vintage that I just have to keep it in my collection for a little bit longer.

Some bygone angry toddler had ripped out five or six pages from my copy, so I didn't have a complete book, but I'm sure I didn't miss much. The illustrations aren't too great. I did like the page with the candle, doll, cookie, and nail, as it's a mysterious assortment of items that gives off a sinister vibe somehow.

This book is far more appropriate for much younger children than mine but my daughter wanted to read it anyway. So for us it wasn't a great book, for little ones it would be much better.

I think this will be a great book for my two-year-old nieces. It's short, with not too many words, and best of all in my opinion? It rhymes!
