Exactly what it says on the tin. A collection of wonderful - and surprisingly varied - romantic shorts. The three authors do compliment one another, but also stand out. I haven't had the opportunity to read any of their full-length works yet, but I will definitely be checking them out sooner rather than later!
I only picked this up to read the first story before bed last night and I ended up devouring the whole thing. Get a cup of tea, or a glass of wine, get warm and cosy and pick up this book (only 99p) and enjoy your evening :)
Be My Valentine is a wonderful collection of romantic shorts with memorable characters and emotion rich plots. I enjoyed all five which are quick, easy reads' that leave a lasting impression. I usually find short stories leave me up in the air with more questions than answers but these all reach a satisfying conclusion.
Stories one and five are beautifully poignant and brought a tear to my eye.
Here's what I thought of each story:
The Love Letter: Poignant, vivid setting with a surprising twist. A Day in the Life: A tale of courage and hope for the future. Love Will Find You: Sweet romance in a realistic setting. Storm in a Coffee Cup: Fun and sweetly romantic. Half a Heart: Realistic and emotional.
Be My Valentine gives you romance, realism and a proper ending.
I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
I'm not always a huge fan of short stories, but must admit that a bitesize romance always warms my heart. This new collection from Harper Impulse was no exception. There is something for everyone as Nikki Moore, Brigid Coady and Teresa F Morgan explore love in all its guises. There is heartache, there is sweetness, there is romance.
Whilst I enjoyed all of the stories, I particularly liked Nikki Moore's The Love Letter and A Day in the Life -her voice as an author really resonated with me and I can't wait to read more of her work.
Be My Valentine is a great way to inject a bit of romance into your life this Valentine's day, and the perfect opportunity to try some new authors to boot.
Be My Valentine is out now, published by Harper Impulse. You can find out more by clicking on the banner above.

With thanks to the publisher for providing me with a review copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.
This was not quite what I expected. There are five short stories by three authors and they are quite varied. The Love Letter - a very sweet and emotional story about a second chance at love from the heroes POV. A Day in the Life - this is a more standard romance about a runaway fiancée. Love Will Find You - In this case it will find you in the office with a handsome colleague. Storm in a Coffee Cup - This has a bit of a While You Were Sleeping vibe to it. Half a Heart - is a love story with a difference and I found it sweet and a little emotional.
As mentioned these are all short stories and very quick reads so there isn't a great deal of depth and character development. But they are all appealing and sweet and suitable for Valentine's Day.
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.
A collection of 5 short stories by 3 authors. Each story had a different feel to them but all were a pleasure to read.
Great to dip in and out of when you feel like a full story but don't have hours to spare, just grab a coffee or a glass of something and have a few minutes "me time".
