A 14,000 word novelette, first in the Werewolf Mates series.
I really liked it in the beginning, but I really didn't think it was great, needs a bit of work, but not bad for a first time read by this Author, I will definitely consider reading by this Author in the future. So I will give this book a 3.5 star rating, good work though, style is good, just lacking something, can't wrap my mind around it. Not trying to sound rude, just confused.
The Alpha's Mate is an enjoyable shifter erotic romance novella. It's a stand alone, which is great, but there are apparently more stories in this series featuring other members of this werewolf pack.
Kelly has moved to Boise to study wolves. One night at a club, she is inexplicably drawn to a man she's never met and he's equally drawn to her. Max prides himself on being an in-control, responsible Alpha, so only one thing can explain why he loses control so badly with Kelly. Now he not only has to explain that he accidentally turned her into a werewolf, but that she's also his mate.
There are many things about this story that I love about shifter erotic romances -- the instant overwhelming attraction, the possessiveness, and the hot sex. The author also takes a new twist on some aspects of the werewolf mythos that makes this story unique.
I would have liked to see this story developed into a longer version with more character development, plot, and better editing. But as it is, the story is very engaging, and intrigued me enough to buy the second in the series to read Andy's story.
This was a good short story, I just wish it was a bit longer, and went into more depth about the characters and their back story etc. I also would've liked to have more detail on how the curse works given that it's opposite from most werewolf curses.
Some good sex scenes that happened organically as opposed to being sex surrounded by fluff words to fill the pages.
I noticed a few typos that kind of brought me out of the story a bit, which was a pity, as the book was really quite good.
All in all, a decent way to spend half an hour. I would recommend.
Loved this book and would highly recommend it to those who love great romantic shifter tales. An unexpected meeting while getting a meal is about to change Kelly's life. Max can't believe his attraction to this new girl but when he accidentally bites Kelly it has consequences. Readers should enjoy this book which is short and sweet.
This was a 50 page erotic essay (not a book). There was no character development, no story. Just meet, bite, and boom lots of sex. There was no building of a story, no angst... Just a whole lot of nothing. It has potential to be a good storyline, but the author should have left this on Wattpad until it was 300 pages of storyline. I said what I said.
I’m not really sure what I read. There was no chapter headings. Spellcheck needs to happen and the flow was really bad. It went from his POV to hers without letting you know. It pretty much an alpha bitting a human, turning her. All the while she’s his mate and they can’t stop fucking. That’s about it.
Max is a werewolf that meet his mate and turns her in the heat of passion she just newly arrived in town for her new job and gets sick.this book was a nice read wasn't too long had great sex but not much of a story line that's why I only gave it a 3 stars.
For such a short book this one has a lot of heated moments between Max and Kelly. Kelly thought that all she would find in Boise would be her dream job, but what she finds is so much better.
This was a well written paranormal read that flows well. It wasnt over the top with the violence but was still realistic in portraying the characters. I enjoyed the characters in this book and look forward to reading other books by this author.
I selected this rating because I just finished it and I can't remember the main characters names. It didn't draw me in and it didn't help that it's so short.
This is a short shifter romance that focuses on the turning of a mate and the subsequent hot mating. It is short and erotic. Not a lot of angst between the couple.
Kelly takes a job to study wolves. Max is hanging out at the local bar when he sees Kelly. Their lives change forever. If you like spicy then this is a book for you.
Just one small advise to this writer do not and I repeat do not describe a vagina using the C word! As soon as I read that I dropped the book. Unfortunately that word is a big NO in my vocabulary.
