Harmony Raines loves to write romance filled with magic and love. Her men are usually not so alpha, but they know how to treat their fated mates, or alien lovers well.

Just my way of saying thank you for giving my books a try.
Not sure why I am the only person who though this book was bad. It had potential but fell short of what it could have been. I didn't like that the author gave us a pretty good description of Max, but not so much of Erica. Erica calls herself fat and Max says she has curves. Apparently Erica has had a hard time with men and relationships in the past and is running away from an abusive ex. Saying this, I was very disappointed when she had unprotected sex with Max on the same night that he helped her. That made me want to stop reading it. She must not be that damaged and scared. Erica just seemed very immature with her though processes. I just didn't care for this one at all.
I think it was ok. Not her best and it was released a bit ago. January I think. I think the story was good but needed more development with the story and characters. We dont know a whole lot or not as much as we should about Max. Although I sympathized with Erika's character with everything she went through all the abuse with her ex. I found her soooo annoying and she had no common sense. I mean hello she is totally digging herself into a hole with Max because its so OBVIOUS she is lying about a lot and when she's caught in a lie she STILL denies everything. Lol. I know shes wary of him but I think her character could have been written better. She seemed vapid. Then the thing with her back pack. When we finally found out what was in it I was like really? She was protecting that thing like there was this super secret in there, or gold, or something that belonged to Wes or something and the whole time it was something of her dads. I seriously thought she took something of value from Wes. Uh...the author just blew it out of proportion and just capitalized on it too much or went the wrong direction. Anyways, not trying to be obnoxious about it but not her best. She's written way better stuff since then. :)
Short, fast paced read. Nothing exciting about it. Erica is supposed to be escaping from an extremely physically abusive relationship but doesn't really act that way upon meeting Max and not only engaging in sexual activities with him but unprotected sexual activities, less than 24 hours later. She just didn't fit the part of an abused woman, more of a woman who couldn't keep her libido in check. It was just weird.
Two stars because the sex was hot and I always have to give props to my big girls, even when they don't think they're beautiful because they don't wear a stinking size four and the men who love those curves...
Although this was a quick little read, it was very good! First off, let me say how refreshing it is to read a free short story without a million grammatical errors! Just my pet peeve! Erica is in the run from and abusive boyfriend and Max is running from a past he blames himself for. Their story unfolds and is very heartwarming in the end. I definitely will read more of Harmony's books!
I loved this Book from start to finish, I love how desired a BBW can be and that they are made to feel very loved and cared for. As a BBW Myself I’m hoping that one day I will get to experience this also. Looking forward to reading more BBW love stories
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This one leans a little more into emotional realism, with Erica fleeing abuse and Max carrying his own quiet guilt. It’s a low-steam, high-heart kind of story where trauma recovery, quiet connection, and tentative trust take center stage. If you're looking for something more grounded and redemptive, this novella might hit the spot. A little slower-paced, but still engaging with Harmony’s signature hopeful tone.
This fulfilled a need that i had of reading this specific plot line today but i cant say a whole lot nicer things about it. Neither character felt really true to what little backstory we got of them (and we really only got enough to piss us off). The romance was rushed and didn't feel authentic. The sex scenes could've been hot but all i could think was "really you haven't even known each other a whole day but unprotected sex sounds like a good idea? no discussion of STDs or birth control? Really great life choices guys!" The writing was ok but awkward at times and had too much telling rather than showing. It satisfied my craving but without filling me up. It was ok but nothing i'd recommend going out of your way to read
Do romance novelists have a formula forced upon them by editors and publishers? This was a sweet novella, but the damsel in distress being rescued by a hot guy is a little played out. It seems that Erica would have been a little more hesitant in real life. I know its fiction and a romance novel. I just have a hard time believing the happily ever after endings when the people hook up within 18 hours of meeting. All that aside it was a sweet story.
Only reason I am only giving this 4 stars is I thought it left to much out at the end, I wanted to know more about the families of each person and how things happened. It was super quick finished in under 2 hours and I'm not used to that. Harmony Raines is a new author for me, I think I will try a few more of her books to see if it was just the abrupt ending to this one for me or what. Either way it's a good quick read. I think most will enjoy it
Saving You, Saving Me by Harmony Raines is captivating, powerful and full of hope. It's probably the most compelling story by Raines that I've read to date. Exciting! Touching! Passionate! Heartwarming! Sweet! Dreamy! Sensual! Sexy! I loved it!
Ok just not believable! Stranded on the side of the road and a biker stops to help. After much debate and coercion, she gets on the bike. She is running from an abusive ex-boyfriend and then after a nightmare lets biker dude hold her. Then they have sex. Just rushed.
This is going to be one of those series that just draw you in and you hope you can climb out of somehow. An amazing start to what is going to be an amazing series
