Buddhism fundamentals, just to get a feel for how it was founded, what its precepts are, and how they came to be. I just wonder how much of Siddharta's teachings have been corrupted over time - he never told his followers to worship him (let alone make Buddha idols), and his teachings weren't written down until after the monks realized there were discrepancies amongst their group. This is the first book I've read that has B.C.E. (Before Common Era) instead of B.C. ( Before Christ)to distinguish the date and time of their chronology...
