I LOVE, Love, love this book! And how could I not when the MC known as Spot, Lord Void the god of clean, is an anthropomorphied vacuum, a rumba to be precise. I'm really not sure how Zaifyr did it but they managed to create a book that actually combines a slice-of-life with an action-packed adventure. Showing us how truly versatile Zaifyr is! On the home front the people that populate Void's castle are gaining more levels faster than seemingly possible. Heck even a 14 year old is currently at level 50. But the most telling of all, is seen in the Nighty Knights, who by working directly with Lord Void's supervision, have been gaining levels as early as 4 years old and they're not stopping at level 1. Something that's been unheard of, throughout the known world! Ohhhh and hey here's something else to tickle your fancy Dragons! So grab this series and find love for Spot the God of Clean!
Spot befriends a dragon and explores the world. The mystery statue in the catacombs comes to life. The people of Caleb flee to the safety of the Bee’s castle and become followers of Spot. The army joins in. The undead are defeated. The lieutenants are getting loose, the kingdom invades, and a battle ensues.
Almost bailed after the zombie horde but am glad I stuck it out. This one was as cute as the first one, though as the cast expands people and plot lines tend to disappear for big chunks (we don’t get much of Tony in this book). Not loving the misguided religious fanaticism through-lines, but will keep reading because I’ve come this far.
I love Spot and his new friends. The story progresses in a ridiculous and amusing and well-paced path of growth. The corruption of the enemy is deeper and closer than expected. It was a fun read and I look forward to book 4.
Love that they are finally starting to fight Leutenants. Also love that void and Daedalus aren’t too OP and that things are still a challenge for them. Can’t wait to see wait happens with Archibald too!
This continues to be a very clever and charming series. The world actually got way bigger than I thought and the ending revealed some stuff that got me pretty pumped about the final book.
There is so much going on. While the main undead invasion has been taken care of so much has yet to be resolved. Void has so much to learn and is really starting to grow as well as coming into his own. The expansion on the world, the dragon, the way time has passed so history has been lost to all but a few. It was a real growth on the previous books allowing them to start looking toward the future. The events at the ends of the books are starting to come to light with more plots going on in the background that I didn't see coming. I cannot wait to read the next book and see where Void and Bea go next as they have really grown since the first book.
