The O’Brien family once again finds themselves ensconced in a criminal investigation when a young asylum seeker washes ashore on Dublin’s rocky coast. Cormac Carrington relocated to Ireland to be closer to his O’Brien kin. While exploring employment opportunities, he offers pro-bono legal aid for asylum seekers and unaccompanied children who have evacuated their homes in Ukraine. During a fundraising gala, he crosses paths with a beautiful Italian woman. They will both be pulled into the intrigue of a detained woman and her missing little brother. When it comes to the O’Brien clan, the fates will have their due. Set in a sprawling European city, the worldwide sickness of human trafficking will touch the O’Brien family, and they will band together to save one small child. Cormac will prove his mettle by shielding a young, shattered woman with the only weapon he has. The law.
Stacey Reynolds began writing after a trip to Europe, where she was bewitched by the coastal counties of Western Ireland. She lives on the coast of North Carolina with three of her five children and her dashing husband, a retired Marine Officer. 5 stars! Every time I read a new O'Brien installment, it is like coming home again. Stacey Reynolds's talent at crafting a story that makes me feel a depth of emotion like no other has kept me invested in this marvelous family she has created. I laugh, I cry, I swoon. If I could give her 10 stars, I would.
I hate when I finish any of the books in this series because I never know if the author will continue this series and I have absolutely loved every book in this series. If you want a book that will give you all the feelings in life like love, suspense, sadness and joy you need to read this series. I laughed, cried and cringed through each story. The author really makes you feel like your right there with her characters. It is fantastic.
From first book to this last book in the series, Stacy reynolds keeps us waiting for more. We want to know everything about the O’Briens and the entire clan. We can’t get enough and have a hard time waiting for the next book. Please hurry thank you for the joy you bring us.
Another fantastic addition to the O’Brien series! As always, a great combination of love story and deeper plot with thought and meaning behind it. The author continues to keep me captivated, interested and wanting more by the time I finish. I’m already anxious to see what comes next for this big Irish family and which character she will spotlight in finding their one true mate whilst drama unfolds around them!!!
Loved every bit of it. I pre-ordered this and waited until now to listen to it because I knew I would love the next O’Brien tale and would crave the next one and that’s what happened.
Our little Cora is 15 and Colin is 10. That is important because it seems to lead into the next phase of the O’Brien saga. You’ll understand that statement when you get to the end and yell “Now what am I supposed to do just wait for the next book!” LOL!
Another love story that involves the Italian branch of the growing clan. Also, the story of the cruelties of man, the greed of others and the indifference to humanity. It makes you wonder how this world survives when there are those that would burn it to the ground. Through the slog of pain the O’Brien’s manage to get a win for two lost children who have lost everything except each other.
Once again the O’Brien clan show us love and family are at the heart of it all and we get an update on all of our beloved family members. Also, it makes you wonder if Marco will venture to O’Brien’s territory to find his mate since they do seem to have that Irish magic.
Book #11 is strong on family and love and it will take all their power to prepare for the next phase. I can’t wait for book 12.
The narrator was a wonder going from an Irish accent to an Italian accent to an English accent and back again without skipping a beat. Bravo!
The author’s writing was clear, crisp and moving towards romantic suspense, which I love. Romance along with a purpose other than just a love story.
Stacey Reynolds writes stories that grab you from the first paragraph to the last sentence, with her stories of Family, Faith, Ireland and unending Love. I have read every single book she has written at least twice and listened to every audible book at least three times. I was able to go to Ireland last September, I have seen the Beautiful Cliffs of Moher, visited Gus O’Connors Pub, visited Dingle, the Blasket Islands, Galway, Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, and many other places Stacey has written about. Sanctuary was another amazing book, it is gut wrenching and, heartbreaking, and joyous all at the same time.
I have loved these stories since the beginning and the author’s ability to weave these stories together is truly remarkable. You come to love all of the characters and learning more about Caterina and her family while still being to keep up with the other O’Brien family members makes it feel like they are truly alive.
I loved the story line. First attraction, the knowing this is something special. Old lores within the family line works well with the story line. I would like more of painting the picture through descriptions of the land. You want to be immersed enough to see it in your minds eye. Well done all in all.
This series is amazing bc each book sucks you in and you just can’t stop reading. Stacey is an amazing author and while this is book 11 I need more. Can’t wait to find more about this amazing O’Brien family.
I love Stacey Reynolds book! Each one feels like a family reunion. Her writing just keeps getting better and better. Before I finish one, I'm already looking forward to the next one!
What an amazing book, continuing the O'Brien story. All of the characters are vivid and alive. Based on the ending I'll look forward to another book in this extremely engaging series
I love this series. It may be time to start over at the beginning since it’s a long wait for each new book. Great story, characters, writing and narration.
Each one of these books has been a totally engaging story. Even after 11 books this was fresh and unique. I can't begin to say enough good things about this author and series.
