Already knew circle of 5ths when I first learned theory, but didn't know that it also can be used to chord progression for every key. Rosa structured the whole course in such a detail where it takes you from a player who can't play without score to a player who can start playing simple songs by ear. But what is more important is that you can advance further from there by playing in different keys, exploring more advanced chords using her concept. Even if you are an advanced player, I think this course still can help you build a solid foundation in understanding the chord progression in more details. Confusing

The author left out a lot of things, example - upper case Roman numerals represent major cords, lower case numerals represent minor cords. In folk music I play - the cords for C major are I, IV and V which translate to C,F and G with Am (vi). She also didn’t tell you how to figure out the notes in a cord, example - C major cord are the notes C,G and E or I,III,V...C1 D2 E3 F4 G5 A6 B7....OK I’m getting confusing but she needed a Proof Reader/fact checker.

Shadow of a skeleton.

I have no formal training in music theory, but I understand that music sounds nice because it has an order and discipline imposed by the scale. This book reveals some of that structure. But it gives no examples. I would love to hear a more extended discussion. This book is but the shadow of a skeleton. I want the entire voluptuous body.

Tool is very useful and simple. No jargon or complicated theory, just directions on how to create your own easy to understand and follow tool.

Eureka

Thanks to this short book I am finally beginning to understand the circle of fifths and will be making my own wheel to help transpose keys.
I bought the kindle version but will probably now buy the hard copy.

This is a good book. Lots of information presented in a logical format. A quick read. The charts included in the book are good. I think this book would be better to read as either a paperback or a hardback book instead of a ebook. I read this on my kindle app on my nook reader and the charts were really hard to read. Even when I enlarged the chart (which wasn't much possible) it was still quite difficult to read. If the author has the individual charts from the book are available from the author I would totally buy.

Circle of 5ths

I really liked and needed some more music theory to support a 55 year lifetime of playing by ear. This book was easy, informative, and concise. Good teaching, good method of providing a DIY circle of 5ths rotating wheel/tool that helps to transpose keys, and recognize note and chord patterns.
Well worth the read.
