Shay Greer is pure GRITS—a Girl Raised In The South–but nowhere near a demure southern belle. She’s looking for a way out of her broken down marriage when she lands an unexpected job offer she really should refuse. Position? Mistress. Fringe Benefits? Of course. Fraternization with sexy CEO Reardon Boone? Required.

Shay signs on, lured by the promise of intimacy missing from her failed marriage. She’s barely survived a hellish year of heartbreak and needs a fresh start. Little does she know a clean break is the last thing she’ll get with the mysterious millionaire.

Reardon sticks to his tried and true rules: no-strings-attached seduction, no messy emotions, absolutely nothing resembling a real relationship. This sassy, sultry woman fits the bill precisely…until she arouses more than his erotic appetite.

A shark in the boardroom and a lady killer in the bedroom, Reardon is as irresistible as he is unattainable. Shay falls hard, but his inability to love could tear them apart. She finds out that beneath Reardon’s seductive mask lies a man as tortured as she is.

NOT FOR ME

Spoilers included........
Not sure I liked this too much. I found the heroine Shay is rather shallow and I didn't like her actions. Her marriage to Palmer has been on the rocks for the past year. Something happened a year ago that has affected their relationship. But all she cares about is the lack of sex. She never tries to sit down and talk things through with Palmer. She decides to go and get a job, Palmer thinks she's at last going to pull her weight with the expenses. But her reasons are so she will have the means to leave. When she goes for an interview the job she's offered is not as a pa. But as Reardon's mistress. A job she accepts. I'm not a fan of cheats in my romances so while this was well written, I just didn't like how the story panned out.

Just finished reading Rie Warren's newest book "Sugar Daddy" and completely enjoyed it! Great story line, made me laugh and cry ... wonderful characters, and a great view of the culture and people of Charleston, S. Carolina. You will love the main character Shay...and her beau Reardon is sexy as hell. Highly recommend!

I have to say, at first I was a little put-off by the premise of Shay (the heroine) being paid to be Reardon's (the hero) 'assistant' (mistress). This scenario worked for him in the past, paid mistresses mean no messy involvement when the relationship ends, but, not only was she being paid, essentially, to have sex with him but, she's also married.

I changed my mind pretty soon into the story. Although it's still no excuse for cheating, we quickly discover that Shay's marriage has been over for a year and why, (I won't spoil the reason why but it's very sad.) even though there's been no divorce yet. Existing in a house together, Shay and her husband barely talk, let alone go anywhere or sleep together. Needing to find a job in order to afford to move out and start divorce proceedings, Shay applies for a job as an assistant for the wealthy and well-known, Reardon Boone. The minute she lays eyes on the handsome millionaire, her hormones go wild. Learning what the job really entails, Shay decides to accept the terms figuring she needs to begin living her life again. Careful not to hurt her husband, the two begin getting to know each other and it's soon apparent that there's something deeper going on between them. Taking the time to explore the deeper aspect of their relationship, plus the discovery of the reasons they both resist these deeper feelings, gives the story more intricacy than just an erotic romance. Though the erotica part is pretty damn intricate, too!

I loved the dynamic between Reardon and Shay. He treats her with respect and, even when she's more than ready to sleep with him, holds back until he's positive she won't be hurt. These characters are very likable with realistic emotions and reactions. I especially loved the southern references and phrases. These added flavor to the story and also some humor in a sometimes heart-rending read.

Rie Warren hit the spot with 'Sugar Daddy'. It'll definitely satisfy your sweet tooth, and a lot of other spots.

I really really liked this book It would have been a five star read except for the use of y'all I'm from the south, used y'all my entire life but never the way it's used in this book and some other of the terms threw me off and made it a little hard to read at times I had the same trouble reading The Help Y'all is you all ...but here it's used as a singular person and in just strange places in conversations that made no sense to me Maybe a South Carolina y'all is different from a North Carolina one That aside I really was hooked Loved all the characters and was so satisfied with the entire read I've seen reviews where cheating really turns them off the entire book but this books so much more than that and you'll see what I mean when you read it I read it in a day because I couldn't put it down Excellent read and I am looking so forward to the next one

I was lucky enough to score an ARC of this upcoming release, and I can tell you the blurb doesn’t lie, Miss Shay is 100% GRITS – Girl Raised in the South. She knows exactly how to use her sassy mouth to her flirty ways to her advantage, she just misplaced her feminine wiles for a while, that’s all. Reardon Boone had no idea what he was in for when he hired this sexy matron to be his very personal assistance. Shay and Reardon embark on a game of cat and mouse that turns into a romance neither expected. Ms. Warren’s debut is all moonlight and magnolias. Steamier than an August night, Sugar Daddy is packed full of quick wit, sizzling hot love scenes and some heart-wrenching moments of pure emotion.

Sugar Daddy sounded like a real interesting read and the title really caught my interest. When I hear “Sugar Daddy”, I think of a younger woman with an older man being kept on the side, living a high-class life and kept in sapphires and pearls (sorry, I don’t like diamonds but love sapphires). Well, this book was anything but that. It’s really about 2 people who have loved and lost and looking to just move on. Neither had any intentions of falling in love but, as we all know, sometimes the unexpected happens.

Shay is broke, in a crumbling marriage and looking to move on with her life. Answering a job ad for a Personal Assistant. She didn’t realize that it was just the politically correct was of saying that Reardon Boone wanted a mistress, contract and compensation included. After one look at him, and not being touched by her husband in over a year, her girly bits were doing a happy dance. But, could she really do this to her husband, even though their marriage has been in name only since a tragic event? Well, in order to leave Palmer, she has to get a job. Hm, kill two birds with one stone – money and sex. Yea, she could do this – she thinks.

Reardon Boone is more that what he appears to be. He’s not really just an arrogant playboy out looking for a good time. He has layers and refuses to let any woman get underneath them. The only ones allowed in are his family and closest friends. They know his fears, his agonies and the real him. He was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth but didn’t have that perfect life everyone thought he had. Until Shay. She drew him to her. He never brought another one of his mistresses to his beach house, never introduced one to his friends, never brought one out to meet his family. She got through those layers and slowly peeled each one away leaving a bare, broken shell of a man who was grieving for the something he lost. Now it’s Shay’s mission to rebuild him and let him know that he can love again. She made him see that there was life after death and his life could include her.

As I said in the beginning, I wasn’t expecting this book to be what it was really about. I thought I would be reading about a hot affair which ended with an HEA (as always). I got a lot more than I bargained for with Sugar Daddy. It was about love – lost loves and new loves. It was about death and rebirth. It was about facing the past and looking forward to the future. I was surprised but it was a nice surprise. To be totally honest. I was a little taken aback with the fact that she was going to have an affair – that did turn me off just a bit especially when Reardon was backing off and Shay was begging for it. He wanted her to be sure and she just wanted sex with her hunk of a boss. He turned out to be the gentleman and she the hussy. But, Ms. Warren interspersed humor and sadness to make the story less about the affair and more about moving on. She had some wonderful characters that made you laugh – absolutely loved Augie – if there was ever a flaming gay guy written with such aplomb, I haven’t read it yet. He was wonderful! “Boom Boom Boone” was his nickname for Reardon. And Shay’s momma added just the right amount of umph to keep Shay on her feet. Reardon’s family was just wonderful – open, honest, loving. They showed you that he was brought up right, learned to protect and help those in need. But, unfortunately, there were some parts that confused me. I felt that they storyline jumped just a little too much and some of the stories weren’t completely told and left you hanging. We went from a Bunko game talking about St. Joseph and not being able to sell the family house right into Shay having a quickie with Reardon in his office. Then there was the discovery as to who was to blame for Shay’s father dying and then it was dropped – she didn’t even tell her mother that she knew what really happened. Even though the the story didn’t gracefully flow from one storyline to the next, it all fit in. It was a good book, with a great ending, and I did enjoy reading Ms. Warren for the first time.

DiDi’s two cents….I enjoyed this book for the most part, I didn’t care for the way Shay pursued the affair. I am usually the kind who will not read a book with infidelity, but the way it was written and the circumstances made me keep reading. What I absolutely HATED about this book is the improper and overuse of “y’all”. I am TEXAS born and bred, and the way “y’all’ is used had me rolling my eyes and made me want to chunk my tablet. I really wish that authors would take more care when using dialect from regions they are unfamiliar with.

"It appears we have something in common, Miss Greer. I want a lover with no strings attached, and you need..." His heated stare detoured over every curve of my body, pausing at my lips before settling on my startled eyes. "A sugar daddy." ~ Reardon

When I first heard the title and read the teaser snippets, I expected this to be a light, hot, sexy read. I was more than happily surprised to find myself reading an emotional story about two flawed, gritty characters who find love, comfort, passion and healing in each other. The author writes about loss and heartbreak that leads these two characters on the path to finding each other when they least expect it.

Reardon Boone is a good old southern boy who runs the family business. He is in his early 40's, hot, sexy and successful. What more could a girl want. After tragic events occur, Reardon copes by immersing himself in work and with mistresses he pays for sex and companionship until he's ready to move on. No commitments, no attachments, no heart ache. Take it or leave it, that's all he has or wants to give. Love and emotion are out of the question. He is extremely wealthy and not afraid to use his wealth and position to get what he wants. What he wants is Shay Greer.

Shay Greer is young, pretty and sexy. Not your skinny supermodel but a real woman with curves. After a devastating loss, she realizes she is in a loveless marriage. Maybe that's too strong. She loves her husband but they haven't been a husband and wife for quite sometime. Shay decides she needs to get ready for the inevitable. So, she looks for a job and finds herself in Reardon's office. She thinks it's for a job as an assistant. Imagine her surprise when he lays it out for her. At first, she's stupefied and a bit insulted. However, the attraction she feels for him is strong. After thinking about it, she decides to accept. Killing two birds with one stone. She makes money for her nest egg and finds bliss in the arms of a man for a little while, satisfying the need to feel wanted and desired. Something that has been lacking in her marriage for a long time. What could go wrong?

Neither is expecting to fall for the other. After all, they have a contract that spells it out. But Shay proves to be Reardon's undoing. They try to fight it, not wanting to admit it. But, the heart wants what the heart wants. Reardon has a hard time sticking to their "working relationship." Neither really want the sex to be about the money.

"Woman, I have a feeling you're going to make me break all my rules," he growled. ~ Reardon

And so, what starts out as business becomes so much more. They have many obstacles to overcome, their pasts, secrets and people who just don't want them happy. Let's not forget, Shay does have a husband, regardless of the state of their union. Can they beat the odds and get out of their own way to find their happy ever after? Events come to a head, leading to a very fitting conclusion. Sorry, no spoilers!

I must admit, the fact that she is married and accepts this job, didn't sit well with me at first. However, Ms. Warren does a wonderful job painting a picture of young love, tragic loss, and feelings of loneliness. I'm not saying that makes it okay or excuses infidelity, but it helps you understand Shay's point of view and why she accepts the offer. This book was very well written. It is laugh out loud funny, sexy and emotional. Shay Greer is an amazing heroine. Love her sass and attitude. She is strong and vulnerable at the same time. Reardon Boone is cocky, hot, sexy and charming. He is a southern gentleman who can get down and dirty. The secondary characters were awesome and added to the story, complementing the main characters. This story made me laugh, cry, yell and fan myself. I enjoyed much of the southern charm Ms. Warren shared in dialogue and description. Great story and I look forward to reading more from this author.

"Woman, I have a feeling you're going to make me break all my rules, " he growled.

Rie Warren, you’re my hero! There, I said it. Not many people can pull off the kind of epic humor and volcanic sex appeal like Miss Rie.

Her characters are as rich as creamy grits, and the men, oh the Boone men of South Carolina, they’re the stuff calendars are made of. This northern girl found herself fanning vigorously like any true southern belle would. I found myself skipping ahead just to read the descriptions. The women of this story are complex, 3-D, and the kind of people I would include in my marvelous circle of friends. They are fierce lovers and fighters.

There are a few spoilers in this review, so hold on tight.

Maybe I'd won the Looney Housewife Lottery because I'd been out of the workforce for more than a year...

Shay Greer is over her head in emotional carry-on luggage and you find yourself rooting and crying for her. The loss of the spark in her marriage, the loss of a child, and the general financial burden she carries would cost her dearly on an airline. But, she is determined to fight her way out. Her Mae West (Come up and see me sometime), no-apologies hold on life are enough to make you proud to be a woman, I tell you! Her mama is a no sass kind of gal, and the other supporting women are just as determined to see Shay get a new lease on life.

The man looked like he wanted to serve me for dinner, naked and spread for a bare bodied, all-you-could-eat Shay buffet.

Reardon Boone is as sex-hawt as they come. He’s looking for no complications and brooks no nonsense when it comes to finding himself a woman. He’s loaded in bed, his bank book, and the tycoon-smarts department. He sets his sights on Shay and doesn’t let her be the one that got away. Reardon has a family who are as funny and quirky as anybody else’s. His brothers, who I hope Rie is going to write about (Please, God. Let Rie write allll about them), are bonded together by thick S.C. pluff-mud and a mother’s love.

Thanks, but I'd rather give myself a Brazilian with a pair of safety scissors than sit across from you two under any circumstances.

As far as the humor goes, Rie Warren’s grasp of exactly how comical she can twist a sentence is serious belly-laugh material. Shay's inner monologue is sure to tittalize, tantalize, and help you visualize exactly what she wants. No one is safe when it comes to the comicality of Rie's pen, cough-cough, the Dugger-super-reproducer (you'll see). I highlighted and made so many notes in my Nook as I read the story, I couldn't list them all here. You’ll have to find out for yourself.

When these two embark on their journey, expect smoke and embers. They burn bright and hot as the Southern sun in mid-August. I hope you enjoy reading their voyage as much as I did. I would pick this story up as fast as you can and hope Rie's as fast at bringing us the next books in this series as she is at turning a delicious phrase.

Sugar Daddy. Rie Warren.

ARC supplied by publisher.

I like a good romance, everyone wants that feel good escapism and this book did it for me perfectly. On the face of it one wouldn't think that married Shay – unhappily married – would be the perfect match for CEO Readon. He's definitely hot to look at, but seems very controlled in his manner, and has a reputation for no mess, no strings romances thus the mistress contracts. Shay is great, lovely and funny, down to earth and unpretentious, you can't help liking her and her potty mouth. You know you're in for a treat when she hands Reardon her amended CV!
In many ways this book reminded me of another two parter written by a favourite author Lucy V Morgan, the whored's prayer and chairman of the whored (also by lyrical press). Both have very Alpha sexy main male leads, and both have a main female lead that narrates much of the book, with an inner conscience that’s very funny at times – and not in the notorious 50 shades inner goddess voice but a much more down to earth, sexy humour way. Then there are the side ramblings both Shay here and Leila in the other books divert to, that give another insight into how their minds work. Much of the book is dialogue based which I prefer, I like to feel the characters speaking and I come to understand them better that way.

Even though Reardon is a top CEO worth a fortune his family are still very attached to their earthy roots, and Shay fits in well with them. I did feel sorry for her husband Palmer, they had just drawn apart after their tragic loss and neither were to blame. Its a sad fact that often things like this happen in life, tragedy affects everyone in different ways and Rie handles this part really well.
There's lots of sex, hot steamy, erotic sex that fits perfectly within the novel, and isn’t just included to beef it up but is an important part of it. I like the storyline to be the main focus and the sex second – so many just concentrate on sex scenes with a flimsy story :( Its proper sensual sex too with sizzling tension between Shay and Reardon right from the start. Some authors seem to think “sex sells” so include it even though they really haven’t the ability to write it well and result is scenes that are cringe worthy. Rie doesn't do that thankfully, her scenes fit perfectly and are appropriate for the story told. There's a good bitch too in the ex, and one of the men. I think all good romances need a baddie or two for balance :) though once the full story came out I did feel a bit sorry for the ex....
There a real mix in this book of humour and sex, touched with sadness and lots of emotion. It really runs the gamut of feelings from happy laughter to sad tears.
The quality of writing is excellent too, even though Shay's Southern slang takes up much of the dialogue its still done in a way that gives the flavour of what she's feeling but that can be understood by non US readers....sometimes that US/UK “divided by a common language” gives me a real problem but not here thankfully, just a really good spicy erotic HEA romance.

Well. Not much more I can say except its excellent value at £4.07 for 273 pages. Its one of those stories that contains so much its bears re reading easily and adds to the VFM scale.
Stars: Five – loved it :)

Shay married her high school sweetheart, and now, years later they hardly have a marriage. Shay suffered a miscarriage and since then, her husband wont touch her. She's lonely and misses having someone hold her and love her. Knowing their marriage is ending, Shay applies for a job in hopes of earning her own money for when she files for divorce. Never could she have imagined what the job would involve.

Reardon is very successful businessman and what he wants is a mistress. He's been married before, he's been hurt and he will not let that happen again. Reardon's job offer will provide Shay the intimacy she 's yearning, plus the income she needs. But these two quickly realize their arrangement could become complicated. They are so much alike and being together brings out feelings in each other they weren't expecting. Meanwhile Shay's husband suspects nothing and still ignores her.

Watching these two fall in love was so sweet. They truly are perfect for each other. I loved their friends and family. Reardon begins to realize how much he misses Shay when they aren't together and how much he hates that she's still married. Shay is falling hard and although she feels guilty at times over her husband, each time she reaches out, he pushes her further away. But Reardon doesn't push her away. Instead, he holds her and shows her how it feels to be cherished. But sooner or later you know the husband has to find out. And what other secret will be revealed?

This was a great stand alone book with a wonderful and very sweet happy ending.

Hot, hot, hot, I couldn't put this book down. Sugar Daddy is the steamiest book I've ever read, and it was so witty and well written, I didn't want to leave Reardon and Shay's story for even a second. Their chemistry burns white hot from the moment they meet, but this book is about so much more than steamy schmexy scenes. Family, friends, loss, triumph, fear, unconditional love - it has it all.

Shay and Reardon's relationship grows from nothing, that takes the characters by surprise as much as the reader. And oh mylanta, Warren's voice is hilarious. I fell in love with Shay and how she handles her life. Even the secondary characters made such a special place in my heart. And don't even get me started on that sexyman Reardon. Mr. Boone is possibly the sexiest man on the planet, and it's not just because of his looks. He is a hard man when he needs to be, a killer in the boardroom, completely in control of himself, but underneath is this fierce loyalty for his family and friends and sensitive side that only comes out around Shay. Oh I love them so much.

This is the first of Warren's books I've read, but I was taken with how funny Shay is. Equally hard is connecting with an author who writes funny and sentimental, and this book brought out every emotion from me. I laughed (a-freaking-lot and out loud) but a couple of scenes brought me to tears. I go into books with high expectations, and Warren didn't disappoint.

I didn't want it to end. I miss the cast of Sugar Daddy already. I need more of Warren's books!

Rie Warren's debut novel is a lush escape into Lowcountry living, lusting and laughing when you can't cry anymore. Rie boldly tackles concepts in this story most authors would shy away from, managing to present this eyebrow raising, complicated romance with much care and consideration to the characters she created.

One of the things I was most impressed with was the diversity and depth of the characters in this book. Shay's sense of humour is a true treasure. So much snarf-worthy sass and snark - especially in the scenes with her best friend August Du Bose. Those two are a scream!

Humour is most definitely Shay's armour ; protecting the bruised heart of a woman biding her time in a marriage gone bust due to a devastating loss many couples rarely come back from. Despite trying her damndest to hold on to her husband, his complacency drives her to contemplate things she never thought she would. Or could, until she meets Reardon Boon, handsome, powerful, please-shag-me-silly tycoon, who makes the offer of Mistress sound too good to be true. Mixing business and pleasure? YES PLEASE! Rie wrote so much sexy into that man I had to wipe the drool off the pages. Reardon also had his own secrets I was just as eager to mine, and the author really carved out a riveting, romantic story.

This re-released version of Sugar Daddy has beautiful new cover art and NEW CONTENT to further tease and please Rie Warren's dedicated readers. I can't wait to read more from this series.

I've to admit, the title made me snort for a second... but after finishing the first chapter I got sucked into the story.
There is no black or white, good or bad in this book, lots of grey areas to maneuver through BUT this made the characters more "real".
Shay is trapped in a loveless marriage after her miscarriage and as a reader I could almost "feel" her and Reardon's pain (not spoiling his history, read it!).
Yes, Shay is cheating on her husband - but can we really call it cheating or isn't Shay only trying to "live again", because both of them (Shay and her husband) were only co-existing together?
I was not comfortable with reading how marriage vows were broken, but in this story it was about second chances and the heroine Shay was going through all kinds of guilt, not to forget her joy/horror after discovering her second pregnancy.
This leads me back to the title of the book "Sugar Daddy".
After finishing the book I like to interpret it not as a reference to Reardon being -at the beginning- the paying benefactor of Shay BUT as as a hint of Reardon becoming a sweet, doting father to Lily ;)

A wonderful story, lots of emotions (have a tissue box ready!) and smoking hot scenes!
Left me wanting for more... where's Lowcountry Heat #2?

I just can't get enough of Rie Warren's sassy, sultry and strong heroines, and her equally sexy, strong, and stimulating heroes!

What I love best, aside from how I can so completely hear her characters speaking in their sassy southern twang, is the way her stories get me thinking -- and not minding a bit that they're makin' me think. What if life isn't the straight line "boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after?" What if there's history, finding what you've always wanted at just about the worst possible time, and yet daring to take what fate has brought you, and how do you reconcile your choices with what feels right -- even if society will see it differently from the surface? There are no easy answers, but plenty of emotions as hot as the Southern summer just the way we'd want them! Sometimes what is wrong is just so right -- or is it? What's so clear cut when we're young, and in our first blush, becomes a lot more complicated once we've got enough experience to clutter up the line between right, wrong, and what just is. And what aught to be. This is Romance with heart, heat, and helacious lusciousness!

This book was good. Im a down south girl the lingo was hard to follow. I hate having to go back and re-read because I have to figure out what they are talking about. Other than that the book was good. It was good to read about a older woman and man. The content was also something that people dont talk about too much. People lose children everyday and people dont realize the ramifications of such a lose. The subject was handled well.

Shay was a true country girl. Her and her husband has been on the rocks for a year after the lose of their baby. She takes a job being Reardon's personal assistant and mistress. They have things in common that you will find out that will bring them that much closer together. Reardon is a sweetie pie that dots on Shay. At first he only wants a no strings attached relationship, but things never go as plan. He ends up falling for her, but she is still married. I loved the journey that I was took on. Good book

I loved Sugaer Daddy!...It was simply the most tender and hottest Love story EVER, I highly recommend this book and guarantee you will not be disappointed. And the characters are written so incredibly real that you feel like you know them personally, like with Shay and Reardon whom I love dearly. And Augie and Miss Addy are a HOOT, then there's Whistler, Badger, who along with Reardon had me busting a gut with laughter. But along with laughter there were tears, and of course the most intense, sexy hot, Erotic love scenes that properly coincide with Shay and Reardon's Sensual tension. Rie Warren is a wonderful writer, and In my opinion Sugar Daddy deserves more then five stars. I can't hardly wait for the second book in the Lowcountry Heat Series to be written, and Hopefully it's about that sexy devil Ransome. I'm just breathless with anticipation!...

Reardon he's a playful boy when he wants to be, "very funny. You made me nervous last week." He swatted my a**." Go have a seat." Shay, the girl is in love with her man's body, "trailing hands down his back, I squeezed his taut a**. I kissed him slowly. "Got your own zip code goin' on down there, baby, so don't be sensitive." Reardon he's more happy when Shay is around him, "forgive me, Mr. Fordham. I have an appointment I can't ignore." He excused himself. There was a reply from the other end to which he laughed. "Ha! Yessir. You got me. My girlfriend just walked in." And no one and I mean NO ONE mistreats his girl, "the hell it is. No one treats you that way, especially not a doctor entrusted with your care." I loved Reardon and shay's story.

I am an enormous fan of meeting three dimensional characters in books, people I'd like to sit across the patio table from as the third bottle is opened and the bug candles get lit. These are the friends I made in Sugar Daddy.

What a summer holiday you can have with these folks. Buy your sunscreen at The Drugstore from Miss Addy, take Augie's advice on which vendor's stand sells out quickest, meet Shay and Jane for lunch, and if you are very lucky, eat fresh caught shrimp on the Sea Witch--if you can swallow after laughing so hard at the antics of Whistler, Badger, and Reardon.

In addition, you'll be privy to a wonderful love story and the hottest sexytimes you could ever imagine.

This isn't going to be my typical kind of review, I'm going to keep it short and sweet. I adore Rie Warren, she's an amazing author who has perfectly honed her craft and I won't even read blurbs for her anymore, I just one-click and preorder whenever I can. Her storytelling has some of the best flow and the male characters are alpha in a way that makes you weak in the knees. Reardon is no exception to this rule for Rie.

If you like a super hot book with a great storyline this one is a book for you... I mean what girl doesn't want a Sugar Daddy?

4.5 stars for storyline and 5 drenched panties for super sexy Reardon! <3

Given the name I was expecting more of a wham bam, maybe a PNP (porn no plot). Boy was I surprised. This was morally challenging, her style was fast and edgy, but then she hit me. Underneath this story of a woman making a choice she found morally wrong, was a touching love story. Two people, emotionally destroyed by loss, found each other. This was a quick read because I didn't put it down and more multi-faceted than anticipated. Her style was different and did leave me behind a few times in the beginning but once I learned the pace I was hooked. This is an author I'll be watching.

Wow, this was awful and pointless. Why did I read it? Because someone (whose advice I will never take again) swore it was "smart and funny and sexy" unlike 50 Shades, which is how the topic came up. Ugh.

It was dumb, the plot had no structure and the characters have weird motivations. Major pivot-point arguments start and end in 2 sentences.

And the major climax (no pun intended) that you think it's going to end on? Not even. It picks something else entirely to wrap up on. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Love the story and the depth of emotions the characters go through on their journey brought me to tears a few times.

I got confused at times as I'm not familiar with the southern speech cadence and sometimes the time jumps messed me up a little, but this is a well written story with a good balance of heat and description.

The relationship between the protagonists develops beautifully and Rie Warren's characters' witticisms made me laugh out loud!

Wonderful supporting cast too!

I love when a freebie on Amazon turns out to be a good read! I really enjoyed this. It was laugh out loud funny at times, heartbreaking other times and a whole lot of sexy. A bit of a different plot too which was nice. If you have issues reading books with cheating, then this might not be for you. And while cheating is usually a turn off for me too, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I will definitely be picking up the next book in this series.

I expected this to be a light and sexy read with a premise I wasn't sure I was sure if I was going to like. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. While I don't condone affairs, it actually worked for the story. I like Shay WAY more than I thought I would and I was equally smitten with Reardon. The book had depth, it made me laugh and the whole thing just worked for me. Looking forward to the next one in this series.

So much more to this book than I thought ~ what an amazing story of strength, survival and love. So much hit home for me having dealt with very similar health issues. Dont want to give anything a away but this book is a must read! Definitely cant judge a book by its cover or title ~ this book is so much more than the synopsis.

I'm giving this book 3 3/4 stars. I enjoyed it a lot but found the last couple of chapters quite boring. Being British I did find the Southern 'twang' conversations in places hard to read. Very emotional in places with some heart wrenching chapters that were painful to read. A very good book in general.

When I just started to reading the book didn't know what to expect. I have to say I really enjoyed the book.Shay in a dead end marriage after her daughter dying & Reardon a multimillionaire wants a mistress. There life will take turns that are many ups but also downs. There story ends with many positive things. I would recommend this book, I couldn't put the book down till i finished it.
