I got some good tips about head shots from this book, but generally I found it to be outdated. The advice about definitely getting a fax machine, and about how cell phones and computers might be a good idea if you can afford them will give you an idea of how dated this book is. I have a hard time reading books that tell me how to do things, and in the case of this one, I couldn't motivate myself to finish it. Maybe if it was more pertinent. Eh...

5-star rating if you read it in the 90's. It's very outdated, but many of the networking concepts can still be applied to today (email as opposed to postcards, etc.). Very good practical advice from a working actor. One of the best books I ever read at the time. Apply it to today and expand on it, and you'll have a good base of instruction to work from.
