Cindy and her high school sweetheart husband live on an acreage with their two dogs.
I really enjoyed this story! Hailey was so sweet. Winn was misunderstood and was hiding a really good guy under his controlled exterior. But Winn's son Cam just stole my heart. I'm glad these three found their HEA together. I'm also eagerly awaiting the author's next 'Rx for Love' book!
I'm working my way through the RX for Love series and really enjoying the books. I think this one is my favourite so far but a couple of things niggled me. Firstly the blurb above this review says that Cam is an 8 year old boy Winn doesn't know he had - well that's wrong for a start! Also, there seems to be a build up about why Cam stutters and his relationship with Brandon but that story line just peters out. Apart from that I did enjoy the story and even ended up liking Winn, which was a surprise.
This was a really cute book. It was a fast read and had all the good stuff you would expect from Cindy Kirk. If you have fallen in love with the characters from Jackson Hole you don’t want to miss this read!!
Fun, quick read. You get quickly caught up in this story emotionally. So much going on for everyone. You can see how it will end, but you enjoy the ride with the characters.
Second chances romance with a suddenly single dad falling in love with his next door neighbor. Winn Ferris is rebuilding his life when he recovers his son after an accident kills his ex-fiance so he quickly hires his neighbor, Hailey Randall to nanny his traumatized son. Romance ensues with some past trash coming in to make some miscommunication troubles. I couldn't believe that Winn and Hailey were so good looking AND single. Quick cute read. 224 pages and bought used in a library sale 2 stars
"Kirk’s friends-to-lovers romance connects readers with quirky characters from the past. It’s humorous yet serious, and moves excitingly from flirty to fiery" (RT Book Reviews). 4 1/2 stars
