About the author

Determined to serve his country, D. Arthur Gusner, at the age of sixteen, "borrowed" his brother's draft card and joined the United States Army. After three years of honorable service he then sought an education at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where he earned degrees in chemistry and physics. His subsequent 20-year career was as a physicist for the United States Navy, where he specialized in submarine warfare. At the end of the cold war he turned his attention to marine research and exploration, where he has focused on the search for and recovery of historical shipwrecks. His experience and submarine warfare background influenced his books Guardian Force, Earth Guardian, Guardian Probe, Guardian Strike, and Guardian Thunder. D. Arthur Gusner and his yellow Labrador guide dog, Limo, currently live in Cambria on the Central Coast of California.

The “Guardian” series by D. Arthur Gusner is a reminder to all of us rabid Sci Fi fans,
how much the serial stories are loved and missed. This author’s true to form, science- based story-telling is up there with the likes of Asimov, Bradbury, Heinlein and O.S. Card. One can only wonder how these past to present and future writers have shaped a genre that extends far beyond our own limited realities.

As a scientist, Gusner’s knowledge of the universe is impressive and his stories reflect it. His knowledge of history and his understanding of human nature add dimension to the development of his characters and storyline. Read book 1 and you’re hooked. Then sit back and allow yourself to be entertained and awed by this thought-provoking 5-book series. (Guardian Force, Earth Guardian, Guardian Probe, Guardian Strike and Guardian Thunder)

UHHH

I read the first chapter and I said yeh im not going to force myself to read the book! I just couldnt do it! If its your thing ok cool but for me I just can't! I think it's because its SOOOO slow! We are kinda like pick up the pace! The first chapter is supposed to grab your attention especially the first 3 pages!

Excellent science-fiction series! All of the volumes are captivating. They incorporate a believable storyline of People on Earth learning of other life forms (near and far)... some friendlier than others. It has drama, excitement and great character chemistry. Good clean fun....
