A Kiss Too Late

Rate this book
There's a naked man in her bed!

Even worse, it's her ex-husband. Sexy, handsome, exciting - Adam Prescott's always been able to sweep Jen Hillard into bed. He's just never cared enough to sweep her into his heart.

But now that Jen's finally found the nerve to make a new life for herself, how could she have let this happen? Silly question. Well, okay, so what if she's done the one thing she'd sworn she'd never do - let Adam back into her bed? She's damned is she'll let him back into her life!

Her heart? Well, that's another matter. He's always been there.

This left me a little wrung out, a little frustrated and somewhat bemused. It had moments of great depth and a lot of moments of sheer bloody mindedness. The h and H both seem to struggle with being with each other and the readers frustration is to see both characters fight it to the end. I had more sympathy with the H than the h, just because she seemed to pull all the strings, the decision maker. The one who pulls the strings is generally in control. Its the one that's done to, that has no option.

Didn’t read it completely but what I read the h and H yo-yo between passion and indifference. The end itself was about the H’s mommy issues on how she blamed him for all her misery which makes him shy from emotions.
