Ruby ofc made me mad but the fact they all kept going even tho she tried to ruin everything was 🤌🏻 Music is such a big part of our lives in this day and age and seeing it in a book was something I have not seen before I was not disappointed!! I absolutely loved this! Luna was the sweetest, and I adored her so much. Sebastian and Xavier made a great pair, but seeing how Luna completed them was amazing. Ruby was such a horrible person, so it was incredibly satisfying to see her lies finally exposed.

For as wholesome as this wasn’t (lots of spice and kinks galore), it was really quite wholesome. Loved the characters and their relationship. T’was a little insta-lovey, but it didn’t actually bother me, which if you know my reading tastes that’s a surprise. The villains were so well written, like I don’t think I could’ve hate ruby or dahlia more.

“My hot boyfriend has a hot boyfriend, who’s also my hot boyfriend!” I feel like this quote says it all!

This was my first novel by author Kat Fallons, and it will definitely not be my last. She had me from the start, and I was sad when it was over.

Here is why you should read this:

1. The character development was spot on. Even though this novel is on the shorter side (for me), it does not lack or rush the character development. It was clear what Xavier and Sebastian brought to the relationship, not just with each other but with Luna too.
2. Curvy FMC-Luna! She is a kickass DJ who, after everything, still embraces who she is. She didn't try to change herself to fit in to what society deems as pretty or acceptable because it would have been easier. Chef's kiss to this.
3. The banter and the sexual tension... Um Hello! Also a strong FMC when it come to knowing and taking what she wants in the bedroom and her men who are willing to give it to her( with minimal begging)

Tropes
* MMF (Throuple)
* Stalker/Enemy
* DJ’s
* ”Good Girl”
* One night stand?
* Hurt/Comfort

I am looking forward to reading. What comes next in this world?

Thank you to Kat Fallons and Good Girls PR for the ARC in return for an honest review

I don’t think the author or a single editor reread this after it was written. I try to give a lot of grace to indie published books but the typos in this one were abundant, wild, and incredibly distracting. I think it could have been a 3 or 4 star read if the plot was fleshed out a bit and the story unfolded in a sensical way, but it was just so poorly written I can’t in good faith give more than 2 stars sadly.

The fat shaming, while I understand it’s painting that character as a villain, was way too much and almost made me dnf from the jump as well. I think this author could have benefited from a sensitivity reader as well.

This book absolutely ATE and left no damn crumbs! This book has everything you need and want in a book. The characters are so well written and the spice is just chefs kiss.

The characters development for the book doesn’t feel forced and flows naturally. I would love to be able to experience this book all over again. 💜🩶🖤

Love in the Mix follows Luna, who was betrayed by her so-called best friend who stole her music and her fiancée out of jealousy. This is an excellent story about her comeback and found family, and I loved Xavier and Sebastian. I almost DNF’d this in the first chapter before I realized the POV was the villain and not the FMC lol. Definitely a good story with plenty of gratuitous spice and just enough fuzzy feelings to call it cute.

Received E-Arc from Good Girls PR, officially comes out on the 14th!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Now, onto the actual review, I ATE THIS UP. The relationship between Luna, Xavier, and Sebastian *chef’s kiss* I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved it, I was excited before with the promos but oh boy, I can’t wait to see what else Kat writes!

Here is a quote to convince you to read this 👇🏼

“For the first time, I begin to believe that maybe, just maybe, I deserve more than the scraps of affection I had been given. Maybe I wasn’t a mistake or a burden. Maybe I was someone worth fighting for, worth loving.”

I can’t even express to you how excited I was to dive into Love In The Mix! I first met Luna, Xavier, and Sebastian through a small novella in an anthology months ago. That anthology was also my first experience reading anything written by Kat Fallons and it quickly became my favorite story in the anthology. Love In The Mix wasn’t anything like what I usually read, but when I tell you this is one of the top reads of the year, I literally read it in a day because I couldn’t get myself to put it down.

Let me start with, this is my first time in the EDM/DJ realm and I am here for it! Luna has nestled her way into my brain as one of my favorite FMC. She has been through so much, working devotedly on her career only for the people she trusts most to do the unthinkable, and yet when she decides all that time later to get back into DJ-ing, she is just as powerful as she’s always been. Her character growth throughout this book is one I admire most, she finds her body confidence, her career ego, and her ability to use her voice to express the things she wants and needs - all of which she deserves after everything. Top that with meeting Seb and Xav, who have an equally traumatic past, and yet when the three of them are together they fit together perfectly, and are able to heal those broken parts in each other.

On top of the emotion in this book, the intimacy between Luna, Seb, and Xav is unmatched. There are moments of such softness where my heart melted, and moments of pure filth where my mind was certainly in the gutter, but it embodied their relationship so accurately: rocky, emotional, and a whole lot of spice! I will say Sebastian, where have you been all my life?

Overall I really, REALLY, loved this book and I 10/10 recommend it to anyone who is looking for an easy read with an emotional storyline, lots of spice, and even an underlay of comedy.

Ok, this book was written in three parts so what I’m gonna do is write about each part as I finish them because I don’t want to forget my train of thought as I go on.

First of all, I SWEAR when I picked up this book I thought it sounded so familiar! And it is! It’s from the Love Sick Anthology that was released back in February and OMG! I did NOT know this when I signed up to read this book. It was kismet! Let me refresh you on what I said about this book, which so happens to be the first act, Finding the DJ: “Eeek! This was so hot! I love that Luna is such a tease and not making it easy for Bas and Xav. I haven't looked into it but I certainly hope there's a continuation to this story! Or, if there isn't, I hope the author is planning on a full length novel for this!” And I got my wish!!! However, the last chapter was not included in the anthology and now I’m sad for Luna.

Part II, Catching the DJ, ummm not to give away any spoilers but there’s one person in this book that I really hate with a passion. And I’m sure you’ll hate this person too. Besides that, things are starting to look up for the trio and I’m really loving the hint of domestic life they have together. Although at that last chapter (it’s always the last chapter LOL), they did something and I wonder how Luna is going to feel about it. Kind of a toss up! Side note, the Mixtape Mayhem blog is extremely entertaining…like it’s so funny!

Final part, Keeping the DJ, so much chaos and all of the truth has come out. This last part had so much emotion, so much more drama and a very rocky resolution that finally ends in what’s most important: love. This last part really tied the whole story nicely!

Final note: be sure to read the 1 year later/epilogue! You don’t wanna miss the tea!

This was a fun and super spicy read!

Luna is a DJ in the EDM space playing nightclubs and writing her own music with her friend and music partner Ruby, but Ruby betrays her in every way possible out of sheer jealousy and hate, leaving her alone and broke. Luna is forced to rebuild her life, her career, and her trust in other people. When she gets a DM to join a famous DJ duo Xavier and Sebastian, she takes them up on the offer and the rest is history.

Xavier and Sebastian have known each other most of their lives and have been a couple just as long, but they both have a strong attraction to Luna and admire not only her body but her music. The moment they all meet the attraction is instant and they cannot seem to keep their hands off of each other. The three of them fall into place like puzzle pieces and the connection is definitely present for chapter after chapter in this book!

When Ruby sees Luna thriving again, she loses it and does everything in her power to tear her back down. But Luna has her men now, and that support and love are what propel them to their happily ever after. They all navigate their insecurities together and it makes their HEA that much sweeter.

This was a very spicy but also heartfelt story about rising through adversity and discovering that the people who truly love and support us will always be there through thick and thin. And having real love and support in your life can help you to find that in yourself and propel you to do things you never thought you could do. Luna, Xavier and Sebastian all truly love each other and that security in each other allows all of the them to heal and be better musicians and people together.

“This is what matters. This is real, This is us.”

Luna was betrayed and has a hard time letting people close. Will Bas and Xav work their way into her heart, or are they in over their head?

I’m tearing up from the love in this book. It carried such a strong message of being beautiful the way you are and that you are worthy and deserving of unconditional love.

I love the characters together. Sebastien and Xavier were so cute, but when they added Luna, fireworks went off! I didn’t know a *scene* could last so many chapters (I’m not complaining) 🥵.

Even through the trials that test their relationship, the guys always treat Luna like a queen and reassure her. This is the most healthy relationship I’ve read recently. Bas and Xav made my heart swoon! And the nicknames– oh my God– baby girl, pretty boy…daddy 👀 I spent most of my time blushing while reading!

I want to mention how much Ruby and Dylan ticked me off. I hate how there are people out there who will put others down for their own personal gain.

This was an amazing read by Kat Fallons, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

Favorite Quotes:
“You’re not a mistake or a burden. You’re a gift– a beautiful, talented, incredible woman.”

“You made us realize we were tired of hiding.”

“We want to be here for you, in every way possible.”

“This is where I belong, caught between them, loved by them, cherished by them.”

“I can be myself, flaws and add, and know that they’ll still want me, still choose me.”

The multiple POVs really threw me for a loop here. Especially since it opens with the villain’s POV. That being said, this was a hot steamy read. Here’s a brief, mostly spoiler free synopsis: After facing multiple setups, DJ Luna is convinced to do a show. The Headliners, a duo, are taken by her. They have a wild and crazy night. While all parties want to keep in touch, outside forces make their lives difficult. Navigate a bit of a depressive episode, personal growth, facing fears, etc. and they figure out how to make it work. Three are stronger than one and justice is served. And scene.

I struggled a bit with the pacing. There were a few timeline jumps that were just kind of stringing together the spicy and cute scenes. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather get a surplus of that rather than filler but it was hard to establish a timeline, especially with so many perspectives. It felt a bit like a novella that got stretched out to a short novel.

The bonus epilogue was very promising! It sounds like this world is getting expanded and I’m here for it. I’m hopeful that in the process we get to check in on our MMF throuple from Love in the Mix.

Tell me why jealousy always breeds the juiciest drama? 👀✨
You ever had that one person in your life so blinded by their own envy they start acting like they’re the main character in a story they didn’t even write? Yeah… welcome to Luna’s world.

Our FMC Luna? DJ goddess on the rise, living her best life—until her so-called best friend flips the script, snatches her man, ruins her career, and basically throws her off the stage. Bestie-to-villain arc? Iconic. The fall from grace? Brutal. But Luna? She’s not staying down. Nope. She dusts off the glitter, tightens the headphones, and claws her way back to the top. 💿🔥

And let’s talk about the comeback—because it’s not just a career glow-up. Luna links up with not one but two drop-dead gorgeous DJs. Both men? Obsessed. Both men? In her orbit. And yes, my “why choose” babes, this book feeds us. Light MM (no sword crossing—tragic, but hey, I would’ve been here for it 🫣). The chemistry? Off the charts. The heat? Contemporary romance dialed up to eleven.

Oh, and the villain? Self-destructs in the most delicious, karmic, popcorn-worthy way possible. I swear, I cackled.

Final vibe check: contemporary romance with spice, revenge served hot, and a heroine who takes her crown back with bass drops and bedroom eyes. Consider me fed. 🎶💋

Thank you so much to the author for a copy of this e-book. I had a good time, especially at the end, IYKYK. All thoughts and opinions are my own and are given freely.

I couldn’t stay from it! I adore multi POV! It is my first ever Why-Choose Romance, it’s so worth it, however I just wish I could read more of Luna, Xavier & Sebastian like the book should have been longer and felt like it’s rushed. “Love in the Mix” by Kat Fallons is an electrifying ride through the beats of passion, redemption, and unexpected love. Luna Sparks is a fierce, curvy DJ who’s not just remixing music but also her life after a brutal betrayal. Thrust into a collaboration with two swoon-worthy DJs, Xavier and Sebastian, Luna’s journey is as heart-thumping as the beats they drop together.

The character dynamics in this story are phenomenal. Luna’s strength and determination to stay true to herself shine brightly. Xavier and Sebastian add depth and spice to the narrative, creating a throuple dynamic that feels natural and heartfelt. Their chemistry? Off the charts. 🔥 The banter, the tension, and the emotional moments will have you hooked.

What makes this book stand out is the seamless blend of passion and plot. The EDM world is vividly brought to life, and the found family theme adds a layer of warmth to the sizzling romance. The pacing is spot-on, with each scene hitting the right emotional notes.

Tropes you’ll love:
🎧 MMF (Throuple)
🎧 Hurt/Comfort
🎧 Found Family
🎧 Curvy, Strong FMC
🎧 "Good Girl" Vibes

If you love steamy romances with heart, fierce heroines, and complex relationships, Love in the Mix will have you dancing through every page. This book doesn’t just drop the beat—it drops the mic. 🎤

Can’t wait to see what Kat Fallons spins next! 💖

I first met Sebastian, Luna, and Xavier in Kat's story for the Love Sick Charity Anthology, and I quickly fell in love with the three of them! When she announced that a full release was coming, I started eagerly counting down the days; and now, here we are.....Love in the Mix!

I love Luna's character and really felt for her with everything that she went through to get her happy ending. I can certainly empathise with her instinct to hide when things start going pear-shaped, and I really enjoyed getting to know her more outside the playful, flirty DJ I met before.

Xavier and Sebastian are just as electric as I remember them, and getting to know who they are and their backstory was such a treat (even though it made me so incredibly sad). They both were the right mix of sexy, compassionate, and dominant, and the dirty talk 🔥🔥🔥 don't mind me melting into mush!

The only thing I really wanted from this was more of Xavier, Sebastian, and Luna's relationship. We got plenty of their chemistry, but I love them all together so much and wanted to see more of their development outside of the sex. Give me the squishy since their all a bunch of marshmallows under all that sex appeal!

This was a great read overall, though, and I can't wait to read more of Kat's work. I'll just be over here counting down the days until another new release is here 😂

Lots of DJ Fun!

If you enjoy a why choose romance with some Hot DJ action then this is your book! This is my first read by Kat Fallons and I couldn’t put it down. This was definitely a page turner for me.

Tropes that you can expect include:

* Stalker/ Enemy
* DJ’s
* ”Good Girl”
* One night stand?
* Hurt/Comfort
* Found Family
* 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

There is so much more to this book than meets the eye. Luna is such a cool heroine. She’s a talented DJ, she’s a beautifully s£xy curvy girl with blue hair and she loves with her whole heart. Xavier and Sebastian are two very successful DJ’s that are not only hotter than a ghost pepper, but are a powerhouse couple. They are one another’s person. The way they have navigated loss and pain together created this unbreakable bond. They weren’t looking for anyone to join their lives permanently, but a one night stand with Luna changes everything for all of them. I loved how these three supported and loved one another to create everything from music to a loving relationship.

Be advised this book be spicy hot! I mean volcanic. I loved every moment of it! The mouth on Sebastian was top tier and Xavier was so sweet and deliciously naughty. This book will have spice readers very happy. This was a great read all around. The characters are just fabulous and the ending was very satisfying. 10/10 would recommend. You’ll fall in love for sure!

2.5 stars rounded up.

I want to start by saying I had such high hopes for this debut novel, the concept of a perfect smash session between three sexy DJ's?! YES PLEASE!

But overall as I read things just weren't drawing me in as much as the starting concept and tropes. The first chapter set it up so well and then there was a lot of the story that felt super rushed, and the first intimate scene was a LOT of chapters while I felt the rest were more rushed, I didn't feel like the tension was enough of a build up for the first one. She went from a heartbroken, confidence shaken girl from betrayal to instantly down to do a threesome with little lead up and that threw me off. I wanted to see them pull her in first, really build up the can't keep my hands off each other energy. The "villain" was a mean girl who wasn't happy with her life and wanted to steal the fame and love her friend had (which I actually liked that villain/heroine storyline and wish it dived a little more into that).

All and all, I see a lot of potential in Kat Fallons and I will give her next book a read as well (I know a lot of debut authors improve a ton as they go so I will for sure be keeping my eyes out!).

Wow, just wow! I couldn’t put Love in the Mix by Kat Fallons down; I devoured it in a single day. This multiple POV romance had me hooked from chapter one, especially with a villain you’ll love to despise.

Luna, a rising DJ, is a breath of fresh air in the music world. With blue hair and curves, she defies the usual DJ stereotype and faces unique challenges—including a brutal betrayal. A twist of fate brings her together with Xavier and Sebastian, two of the hottest and most popular DJs, and what follows is an intense clash of personalities and emotions.

The chemistry is electric, the spice is unforgettable, and the revenge - IS NEXT LEVEL! This story is a captivating journey that’s sure to satisfy any romance reader's heart. Kat Fallon truly shines in this book, and I can't wait to see what she writes next!

3.5⭐ Love in the Mix is a high spice volume, MMF poly story set in the world of professional DJs and EDM. Xavier and Sebastian are DJs who share more than just an apartment, and when they see Luna at a show, they're taken with more than just her talent at the turntables. One wild night leaves them all wanting more, but outside forces are working overtime to prevent that from happening.
This is my first Kat Fallons book. It is a multi-POV story where the plot is a little loose, and the spice is doing the heavy lifting. I appreciated the depth and variety of the intimate scenes in this book, and considering how much space in the story is devoted to them, I'd almost consider this erotica. It's hot, no doubt about it. The enemy/stalker storyline to me just served as a way to bridge the spicy scenes together, and wasn't the highlight of the book, and I didn't really get emotionally drawn in by it. This is one I would recommend to anyone looking for something filthy (in the best ways) to enjoy without a lot of plot to distract from it.

A Harmonious Blend of Love and Music
Love in the Mix is a captivating love story that seamlessly blends sizzling chemistry, heartwarming moments, and a touch of drama. Kat Fallons has once again delivered a captivating tale that will leave readers wanting more.

Luna, a talented DJ, is on the brink of giving up her dreams when she's unexpectedly thrown into a world of music, passion, and forbidden love. With the support of her two enigmatic mentors, Sebastian and Xavier, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and rediscovers her passion for music.

The chemistry between the three main characters is undeniable, and their dynamic is both playful and intense. The author's ability to balance heartfelt moments with steamy encounters is truly impressive.

While the plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns, the underlying theme of love, friendship, and perseverance shines through. Love in the Mix is a must-read for fans of romantic comedies and those who appreciate a well-written love story.

This book was a good debut novel. I will definitely be reading more from Kat in the future.

I really enjoyed the premise of the book, and I'm a huge why choose girlie, so I'm always going to love that. I think I just missed having more character and relationship development. I could't quite get attached to the characters, and I felt like there was something missing. If the book had been a bit longer so we could get more of that, I think I would have enjoyed it more.

I did really enjoy these characters, and I loved how hooked Xavier and Sebastian were. They jumped right at the chance to get back to Luna, and I loved how that sequence happened. Loved the drama and the falling apart of the mean girl. That was a great conflict in the book. I do think a lot of people will really enjoy this book, and I loved the uniqueness that the characters are DJs.

*Small spoilers*
I feel like this book wasn't entirely for me. It was a quick read, I've read it in 3 days so the story does encourage you to keep reading which is really good.

I feel like the story itself had a lot of spicy chapters in it. In the beginning I read them to make sure I didn't miss any information for the plotline itself but at the end I found myself skipping them. In the first two big parts of the book, there was more spice than storytelling chapters. At the end of the book I enjoyed the storytelling more.

I feel like the relationship between the characters was a bit rushed. Suddenly they were together and it didn't really build up like I would expect. I did like Luna as a character. Sebastian and Xavier were good characters as well because they had a whole emotional background. Ruby was the typical mean girl but I enjoyed having her character trying to mess things up (and failing) in this story.

Please check your trigger warnings..

Luna is a DJ. She is friends with Ruby. Ruby is not a great person. She is obsessed with all things Luna. She wants to take everything Luna has including man she is seeing. After Luna loses everything she is working at a coffee shop when she gets an invite to a show by 2 major DJ's.

She has an amazing time with Xavier and Sebastian. From the moment she meets these guys it is a whirlwind of sexual tension and from this moment all bets are off.
Most of the book is a lot a lot of spicy scenes. There are twists and turns. Some of the story i as expecting like Ruby showing her ugly mug a time or two.
In the end Luna, Bas, and Xav are happy.
I was so happy to see them in their HEA.
There were a few characters that I enjoyed. Mac he is an irish club owner and a friend to the 2 MMC. We were granted a tease of what is to come. This is my first Kat Fallons book. It did not disappoint.

I’m glad I stuck with this book because I did end up really enjoying it. The drama is almost over the top but when you take into account the characters, their careers, and circumstances it makes sense. It’s justifiable for the setting. While there is plenty of drama it is external from the relationship and it was well written. I can understand where Luna found herself and how she felt because of all the sh!t Ruby put her through. I have never met a side character that I despised as much as Ruby!

But in true fashion of this book, love conquers all. Luna, Xavier, and Sebastian are meant to last. Their relationship starts with lust but builds from there. The chemistry these three have is intense and pure. You don’t find spice like this without a deeper connection.

I like how this novella was broken up into sections. It made it feel like this was a long story and added to the building of Luna, Xavier, and Sebastian’s dynamic.
