These two… Gah!! I literally love this whole family and these two are no exception. Liliana’s naïveté and Benedict’s commanding nature are perfectly mismatched. Fast pacing and suspense are balanced with banter and steam. Then combine all this with the ongoing family drama, and it’s a recipe for another incredible installment in one of my favorite series’ of the year.

⚠️ I have two words for you. Mafia. Daddy. If you are craving some dark romance featuring a lone-wolf assassin & a sheltered Sicilian beauty this one is for you!!
Benedict is on the revenge spree after his brother gets shot in a classic mafia scrimmage 💪🏻 This is where Liliana comes in. She has been a bit of a…bad girl. BUT her intentions were actually good.
🌶️ TOP TIER SPICE 🌶️ I recommend this one to all the dark romance girls! While this was a romance with the dd/lg dynamics the relationship was further layered by mmc’s mafia/danger & fmc’s religious/conservative nature. This made the whole dynamic spicier!!!
Some of my favorite moments:
*when mmc is trying to extract information out of her and bites her 👀 but then says “Now ask daddy to kiss it and make it better.”
*mmc tortures a guy in front of her & hurts him more when the enemy curses since “there is a lady present”. Asks her to cover her ear when he threatens and shots people 🙌 how polite!
*when fmc has anal to avoid losing her virginity!!! like…girllllllll no
I do think the story ended a little too early. I really wanted to see Liliana come into herself and recognize her value. But maybe we’ll see that in Matteo’s book!

I've been waiting for this story since the ending in the last book, and I ATE IT UP!!! I won't give too much away.
We pick up right where we left off with Liliana and Benedict face to face, and he has some questions for Lil. And right away, she's lying to him to escape, but he knows and lets her Plat. He's already thinking of ways to keep her and punish her for what she did to his family. Benedict has his own ways of torture, and he's enjoying watching her squirm. But Liliana is keeping her lips sealed she knows if she talks she a dead woman. The punishments and her begging for 🍑 to be filled!!! GIRLS GIVING HIM ALL HER FIRST! Even when he doesn't believe her that she's innocent.
It's a wild ride with the rest of the family and Liliana since her betrayal and man those were some good moments!! We learn why she did what she did. Now, they have to come up with a plan to get revenge against the true villain of the story.
We get our old couples and hints of a new one ;) and boy Metteo is in for it.
Low angst, no ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary character, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore

Absolutely loved it! Zoe Blake is my go to for my OTT fixes and Benedict certainly "hit" all the correct spots 🤣🤣. Well written, fast paced, with characters you can't help but love, there really isn't anything to dislike about this book. The banter and the smexy spot on and I love how her religious upbringing played a role in the taboo parts of their relationship and how their k!nks played out. Once again, if non-con, dd/lg, and rediculously OTT men are not your "thing" in fiction, this is probably not the book for you, but if you're looking for a dangerous "daddy" with an innocent, sweet heroine, Seduction of the Patriarch has everything you're looking for!

January 20, 2024If readers are into punishment, spanking, dubcon, daddy kink, and a lot of kinky stuff, they should go read this; this will surely deliver, hands down.
But if they are looking for romance, I don't think there's any of that here. All I read was about Benedict (46), who likes to control and possess Liliana (25), whether she likes it or not. It's always about what he wants and what would benefit him. Sure, she did benefit in some instances, but the majority of this was him steamrolling her and her not complaining about it and taking it all in. Also, this was insta-lust, and the timeline of the whole book was less than 2 weeks. He kidnapped her, then decided she's his, and there's nothing she can do about it. Also, they got married despite knowing one another for a short period of time.
As for the plot, the mystery felt drawn out for far too long. The revelation could've been told earlier, and I think it would still have had the same effect. This could've been a few pages shorter, honestly.
Anyway, I liked the smut, but that's the only thing I enjoyed here. The rest, not so much; the MCs pissed me off, and they're unlikeable to me. I dislike overbearing mmc and dumb/naive/innocent fmc. Fortunately or not, they complement each other, so I guess congratulations on their wedding. 🤷♀️

HOT DAMN!!! Benedict Cavalieri makes daddy kink soooo!fucking wrong! but I'd throat punch a line of bitches just to be next!!!!! He's a savage and depraved beast who takes what he wants and doesn't give a shit if you like it! But believe me when I tell you not only will you like it, but you'll have your ass up in the air with in seconds!!! If you think Barone and his sons were primal warlords who conquered and fucked their women in to submission. Wait for Benedict and Liliana's story! Zoe Blake knocked it out of the park with this couple! The pairing of the most dangerous of the Cavalieri, Benedict will leave you speechless. Theirs a reason why he has stayed in the shadows and the lovely and innocent Liliana is going to find out that all the things whispered about Benedict are real! This is another action packed book with a whole lot of angst and so much dirty filthy fun from daddy kink to gun play to domination and submission and punishment. Liliana might be innocent and shocked by Benedict but at times she's feisty and stands up for herself and doesn't let him run over her. Their chemistry is spot on and the sex even when forced at first is pretty fucking hot! Benedict is hard-core and cold as they come but you can see from the beginning that Liliana calls to some part of him and once he starts piecing things together he realizes Liliana was just a pawn and sets out to find out who really is behind the shooting of his brother Barone. Not only does Zoe Blake write some of the best dark romance around,Its full of all kinds of great fuckery and the characters are simply magnificent!!! This has been one of my favorite series and it just keeps getting better!!! A book that can make your panties wet and make you hungry because of all the fabulous food being referenced and has you snickering like a bad girl after reading the the Vatican scene with devilish and sinfully handsome Reverend Monsignor Diamanti ( forgive me father for I have sinned) doesn't even begin to atone for what I want him to do for me!😂 And the air quote scene with liliana and Benedict had me laughing so hard I almost pissed myself! Can't wait for book 5 Scorn Of The betrothed its Matteo Cavalieri's book!!! I love this sexy young rogue so much!! I am absolutely loving these Cavellari men and their strong and confident women. And my goodness I would love to have a patriarch like Benedict. He is hotness overload. 🥰
Liliana is somewhat naive and far too trusting but it works in Benedict’s favour, especially when he realizes it is not an act, she actually is very innocent.
I loved the banter, the back and forth with all these characters.

Benedict Luciano Cavalieri. Holy crap, this man is perfection. Part Adonis, part genius, part businessman, part super hero and action star. Can we all get a Benedict? And who created this amazing character? The Queen herself, Zoe Blake. I love that she always fully immerses her readers into her books. You feel like you are in Italy, eating the food, enjoying the views, etc. I always love the story happening between the couples, but I also really look forward to learning about the food and locales. And this couple was fire. Benedict is sent to get answers from Liliana, but from the very start he is challenged in a way he has never been. He wants to protect and care for her. I loved how he was with her. He was sweet and a whole lot of naughty. I actually think his picture should be in the dictionary next to the word. He made me see the number 7 differently too.🤣 He definitely tested Liliana. She was so sheltered, innocent and naive. And she was definitely redeemed from the last book. We also have the banter between the men and the women. I literally laughed out loud several times. Zoe gave me all the feels. I definitely had tears while reading Amara's POV. This was just superb. I love this series and can't wait for Matteo's book. ❤️

Ever get a lexical glitch where your brain just refuses to read a certain word correctly? Because I can't stop misreading the title as Seduction of the PATRIARCHY. And that's just so wrong.

● The narrators in this series are great. I think Antonio Amato's voice works especially well for the 'older' MMCs.
● Zoe Blake's rich descriptive style continues to impress me in this series. The action scenes, the spicy scenes, the food, the atmosphere - are all clear and vivid, without getting too purple-prosey.
● All the previous CWs for this series apply. This book felt slightly rougher though - with more punishments/mid humiliation during the 'interrogation' scenes. Also stronger religious overtones, purity culture references, and a very Catholic FMC. (She quotes a few Bible verses - even during sex 🫣!)
Liliana was frustrating - gullible, insecure, repressed, and often tstl - but honestly? I still liked her, and her character growth felt authentic. Plus her religious trauma stood no chance against Benedict 😈! He was extremely competent, astute, and exuded that Daddy energy. Always ten steps ahead of everyone until she came along.
Personally, I really liked this one just not quite as much as the others. There were two main sticking points for me:
Too Little: about Benedict. I was really curious about the enigmatic, reclusive oldest brother from the north - it was a shame we learn so little of his story, especially his relationships with his brother and son. And we never even
Too Many: verbal standoffs. Hey, Zoe Blake is the queen of steamroller MMCs and stubborn FMCs, and that = friction! But Liliana might just win for the worst case of counterwill I've ever seen. It didn't matter if he wanted her to confess her secrets, or eat her vegetables, or put on SOCKS, this was their dialogue:

● The narrators in this series are great. I think Antonio Amato's voice works especially well for the 'older' MMCs.
● Zoe Blake's rich descriptive style continues to impress me in this series. The action scenes, the spicy scenes, the food, the atmosphere - are all clear and vivid, without getting too purple-prosey.
● All the previous CWs for this series apply. This book felt slightly rougher though - with more punishments/mid humiliation during the 'interrogation' scenes. Also stronger religious overtones, purity culture references, and a very Catholic FMC. (She quotes a few Bible verses - even during sex 🫣!)
Liliana was frustrating - gullible, insecure, repressed, and often tstl - but honestly? I still liked her, and her character growth felt authentic. Plus her religious trauma stood no chance against Benedict 😈! He was extremely competent, astute, and exuded that Daddy energy. Always ten steps ahead of everyone until she came along.
Personally, I really liked this one just not quite as much as the others. There were two main sticking points for me:
Too Little: about Benedict. I was really curious about the enigmatic, reclusive oldest brother from the north - it was a shame we learn so little of his story, especially his relationships with his brother and son. And we never even
Too Many: verbal standoffs. Hey, Zoe Blake is the queen of steamroller MMCs and stubborn FMCs, and that = friction! But Liliana might just win for the worst case of counterwill I've ever seen. It didn't matter if he wanted her to confess her secrets, or eat her vegetables, or put on SOCKS, this was their dialogue:

Zoe Blake does it again and sucks me into her world of Cavalieri men. Dirty, depraved and domineering, these men take no prisoners until they find their woman. Despite being OTT, possessive and almost completely rigid, they have a soft gooey spot for their girls and I can't get enough. Seduction of the Patriarch follows Benedict who is on the move to locate and dispose of whoever tried to kill his brother and poison Bianca. However, when he finds the girl that he and others believe have played a part in this scheme he realizes there may be more to the story. Torturing information out of her and killing her is no longer an option and he plans on taking it a completely different direction.
Liliana has come from a sheltered and mundane life and finds herself suddenly thrust into a world she has no clue how to navigate and live in. She is frightened but doesn't lack a complete backbone. Sure, she's naive and innocent but she's the perfect match for someone like Benedict who craves control and the companionship of someone he can care for and protect. These two had a fun enemies-to-lovers vibe and I loved the action, steam and suspense they waded through to get to their HEA.
I enjoyed that this was a relationship centered romance with a healthy dose of action on the side. This one had a little more humor and I found myself laughing several times out loud. It was gritty and a little violent and the steam was off the charts hot. A little Daddy kink and a whole lot of "you're mine." The ending was just so cute and breadcrumbs were left for the next book that I can't wait to get my hands on.
Overall, if you're a fan of Blake's billionaire bulldozer men, then definitely dive into this because it's everything you've come to expect from her writing and her men.

The way that Liliana and Benedict were the perfect couple 😭 It was acc criminal that there weren't more scenes of them just together. We were ROBBED- especially with no epilogue 🤠.
It probably wasn't the best decision to read this without having read the previous books, even though it was a standalone 😭 but I don't regret it because I didn't really love the characters, aside from the MCs in this one.
Anyway, I would've loved for the MC's relationship to have been explored more but this was fun!

I was so happy to get Benedict and Liliana's story. I even thought Liliana was a bad person. Come to find out she's just naive. Then Benedict of all people "interrogate" her. This was a wonderfully delicious story. Can not wait for what Zoe has for us next.

He immediately becomes obsessed with sweet Lily and she is here to fight him the entire way.
Expect dubious consent (it’s clearly a kink for both of them), virgin reckoning, more @nal than you would expect, breaking religious conditioning, spanking with more than just hands, Daddy/good girl play and many other dark and entertaining themes we’ve all come to love from this author.
My only gripe was that I needed more follow up on this horse ranch in the middle of nowhere and the happily ever after. However, we do get another book and it’s Matteo’s turn next! It’s going to be a good one!

These Cavalieri men should definitely come with a warning sign because both your heart and your undergarments are in danger from them! Lol As a huge age gap junkie I honestly must admit that I didn't think anyone could come close to being as hot, intense, alpha and swoon worthy as Barone Cavalieri (Scandals of the Father) but by The Goddess, his brother, Benedict Cavalieri just proved that hypothesis wrong! This book is filled with drama, action, danger, darkness, emotion, humor, twists, suspense, heart and so much sizzling, scorching steam that it is a miracle that it didn't just go up in flames! Benedict and Liliana are another incredible for this decadent series that is simply pure sinful yumminess. I highly recommend you start at book one and read through as there is an overarching story that is unfolding over the course of the series.

This author has a way with world building that just sucks you in, every book in this series is better than the last- you literally feel as if you’re standing in Italy talking this all in as it happens. Benedict is just…I don’t even have words- a dirty talking, possessive older man- yes please! Liliana, the poor girl- but Benedict truly is the perfect match for her. This is a fast paced very well written story in one of my favorite dark/mafia romance series.

I will freely admit that after the last book I'm this series I went into this book skeptical about our heroine, Liliana. I was definitely not expecting the sweet, innocent orphan who was being manipulated by the world. To add to that, if I had read in the blurb that she was actually a sweet, understandably insecure, and religiously devout character, I don't know if that would have appealed to me that much either, but lucky for me, I would have read it anyways cause I can't resist any of Zoe's books.
We kind of know a bit about Benedict and his reputation from mentions in previous books, and we know very little about Liliana other than her betrayal. One of the things that really stood out to me about this read was how different Liliana is from the previous heroines in the series - all of which I adored. Liliana was just very pure and naive, and I felt like Zoe did a fantastic job of matching the character's back story to her present day self. I really enjoyed watching her find herself, and learning to stand up for herself while still staying true to her character.
The plot was engaging and unraveled at a good pace, and Benedict "seeing three steps ahead" was a fun way to keep you guessing the details. The spice was off the charts, and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the inevitable "first time". I'm also thoroughly confused cause I'm pretty sure I had at one point I had an alarm go off in my head accompanied by "daddy kink: unlocked"...
All in all, this may be my favorite in the series so far - but we'll see if that stands once Gabriella gets her time to shine!

Daddy Kink is my jam!!!! I'm just going to say it. Daddy Benedict is one sexy mother fucker. He's so deliciously dirty. I love it. I don't know how Zoe Blake does it but she taps into my brain like no other author. I love her mind. If you are into daddy Kink, sexy men, and some really kinky ass play, then you're in for a treat. I love getting to revisit the Cavalieri's. They are such a great family. I felt so sorry for Liliana. Poor thing was so naive. I'm so happy she is going to have a family who cares for her. I can reread Zoe Blake's books at any time or place and feel so satisfied. I absolutely can't wait for Matteo's book. I have been so intrigued by him. I have a feeling he will be a naughty boy like his daddy. Maybe we will get lucky, and he will be into bondage. We can only hope ❤️

After the ending of the last book, I was really looking forward to reading this book, but sadly it was disappointing. I really enjoyed the prior books, loved the characters and plot so I’m even sure what happened with this book.
Benedict is out for revenge for his brother and Liliana is his prisoner and he is judge and jury. The thing about this book was that it was 80% sex scenes and I didn’t even enjoy any of that. It was all punishments and humiliations and it was just too much of that. The plot was all over the place. I didn’t really like Benedict in the end and Liliana was getting stronger from being so sheltered to starting to stand up for herself but Benedict wouldn’t let her have her own freaking thoughts and actions for one minute. I just didn’t care for the romance at all.
I’m hoping Matteo’s book will be better.
Benedict is out for revenge for his brother and Liliana is his prisoner and he is judge and jury. The thing about this book was that it was 80% sex scenes and I didn’t even enjoy any of that. It was all punishments and humiliations and it was just too much of that. The plot was all over the place. I didn’t really like Benedict in the end and Liliana was getting stronger from being so sheltered to starting to stand up for herself but Benedict wouldn’t let her have her own freaking thoughts and actions for one minute. I just didn’t care for the romance at all.
I’m hoping Matteo’s book will be better.

There’s no other way to say it: this hero is a rapist plainly speaking. I don’t find any romance in this book, just a festival of abuse. Previous parts were slightly better but not by much.

Seduction of the Patriarch is Zoe Blake’s latest addition to the Cavalieri Billionaire Legacy series. It is action packed from practically the first page with scorching romance that has you fanning yourself. Blake is usually a master of character development but I was not invested in either of the main characters until about half way through the book. I love the way Blake sprinkles a bit of historical facts within her prose and the Vatican scenes were awesome but I guess I needed more character development before the hard core scenes began. I wish Blake would make her female leads sassy and stronger like she did with Emma and Mary from her Sweet series. I would have thought maybe Liliana could have snuck out on the nuns and learned some useful skills when dealing with her circumstances. It was a good read and worth downloading. Immerse yourself in the lives of the Cavalieris family and enjoy.❤️

Book 4 in the Cavalieri Billionaire Legacy series
I read an advance copy of this book as a favor, and it was wonderful. The powerful story of Benedict Cavalieri and Liliana Fiore is based in Italy. You can read this book without having read the others in the series (I did). It is a well-written book weaving the story of Benedict and Liliana in with other stories already told and those to come. A weaving of individual stories with that of brothers and fathers, and other mafia families. Placing blame for a shooting and investigating in the typical mafia fashion. There is a fair amount of Italian in the story, which delighted me since I read Italian, but you can discern the meaning without a knowledge of Italian and it definitely adds to the flavor of the story. A good stand-alone book, but it will make you want to go back and read Book 1-3 if you haven't already.
