This is an amazing story about a Bedouin beauty, who is raised as an Israeli, becomes a lawyer and is recruited to the Israeli 'Mossad'…She is abducted together with a judge, who is also a 'Mossad' man, and both of them are held by a terrorist organization…jailed in a cave in harsh imprisonment conditions and…

"The blond woman picked Avital up easily and started to take big steps towards a black car... During the next seconds, while driving, the woman took off her blond wig, and the tall lank man who was revealed didn't look at all like the figure who abducted Avital less than a minute ago… The car hurried eastwards in full speed and power, to the Iranian border, while behind it, following closely, was a grey car…"

And in addition…

"The Israeli helicopter retreated and halted and a rope ladder was thrown from it…The three advanced unit soldiers came running to the escapees … The rope ladder was rolled up and the helicopter rose and climbed high in the air, carrying with it Dave, Avital and their savior, Hamudi…"

The authoress, Dr. Varda Foox, was born in Tel Aviv and has lived in an agricultural community for 25 years. She has been dreaming to write a book for many years, but only when she retired from teaching she sat down to write it.
In this book Varda has integrated the story of the abducted Israeli soldier and juxtaposed it in the protagonists of this book…and her imagination brought about a different "ending", a much better one.
The President of Israel words on the book "Kidnapped":
"Your book integrates realistic and fictional elements and deals with a complex and painful issue…its moving plot brings about difficult moral dilemmas, both on the personal level and on the national level, whose solution involves a sensitive performance…in your book, as well as in reality…"

Absolute racist garbage

this book is poorly edited and written. the story is nothing but a cheap crap tale of all Arabs are terrorists and Israelis are the victims and heroes. Not realistic at all. I am sure Russia does not allow Iranian soldiers to keep a base in Russia, nor can you drive from Russia to Lebanon in a couple hours, not to mention the bad guys everywhere in the world, no matter which country be it Russia, Europe or Iran just happen to speak Arabic. for the author's knowledge, they speak Farsi in Iran, not Arabic. Just a total racist propaganda story to spread hate. Very disappointing not to mention the bad editing and poor use of English.

Not bad for a first attempt.

Not bad for a first attempt.

This book is fall if rung wards, bed spellings, forth great grammar an slope plot development.

If you can get past the mistakes, the last chapter makes up for the rest of the prose. I usually read a book this size in a single day. Kidnapped took three. Dr. Foox may have intended us think it was written by an individual just learning English. If so, she has my sincere apologies.

I was expecting some kind of plot twist at the end, as in Clancy, or Grisham, or Stratton-Porter. Sigh.

Maybe in the sequel?

I'm reading 'Kidnapped' and am appalled at the atrocious translation.
It looks like whoever translated it from the Hebrew used a dictionary without grasping the basics of English grammar or building a sentence in English, which really lessens the enjoyment of reading what is otherwise
a fairly good plot. (I am familiar with Hebrew and thus able to compare).

Don't bother with this one.

The most convoluted, poorly written book I have read recently. It's as if there was no editor available from page one onward. The poor grammar and inappropriate and illogical words that are sprinkled like confetti throughout made it nearly impossible to follow, let alone enjoy, the story. I quit about h'alf way through.

didn't like the story I muddled through it. it was broken up to much. it was hard to follow. a lot of times I had a hard time knowing which people were the good guy's and who were the bad. to me it was hard to follow and at Times I thought about not finishing this book.

too badly written

Really no stars! Could not get past page eleven. Run on sentences; words missing from sentences; no cohesive paragraphs. Has the author ever heard of an editor? Don't waste your time

Needs editing

This book is interesting but is poorly written. A lot of misspelled words and incorrect grammar. I was not impressed.
