This was such a fun, hot and crazy sexy little read of how three minutes of speed dating can open up the path to romance of the forever kind.

The read starts off with Valentine Jones not being able to say no to her always the romantic friend Maggie, and let's herself be dragged off to a round of speed dating.

During the course of the evening Val ends up with the very delectable Finn, who by the way is not there to pick up woman but to chaperone his niece against the wolves of the speed dating world.

They instantly click and Val ticks yes on the call back card, but Finn never calls. Val is understandably confused as he did flirt with her so he obviously likes her so why does he not call?

Deciding it best to get over it and get going Val files the issue in the back of her mind, until Finn comes her way again when they both attend his cousin's wedding.

Of course Val is looking for an explanation and Finn tries to explain but instead he ends up kissing Val senseless leaving her in a melting puddle of lust, still confused but, who is going to complain when a hot man kisses you senseless, no woman ever!

They soon start up a hot and passionate affair, but Val has learned her lesson from a previous broken marriage and to her this is all just a bit of fun , Finn however wants forever and he will stop at nothing to get it, until a party at this parents house takes things from easy going to run as fast as you can.

I really love Sally Clements books, they are always fun, fresh and exciting. This read was all that and more. The characters were the sort of crazy fun that has you laughing over and over. The scenarios dreamed up by the author were so much fun to read it had me in a whirlwind of emotions, crazy, sexy, fun and so emotionally touching it totally blew me away.

The author kept my attention and all through the read I could not wait for the bomb to drop and see what exactly the author will do to make it work for the hero and heroine, I was so not disappointed, the ending could not have been more perfect!

I'm recommending this read for all fans of romance, like myself you will after just one read discover yourself hopelessly addicted to this author's books!

This book was a quick, fun read, and I enjoyed every second of reading the book. Val she has a smarta** mouth on her, "what am I doing here?" she asked. "Well, I'm working, Finn. I'm taking photographs of the wedding guests. So if you could raise your glass and smile at the camera, we can get this over with." Finn, he's a playboy that's no secret but the fact that he's willing to lose his wh**ing ways for Val, must mean something right? "What if." He rubbed the back of his neck with a tanned hand. "What if there were no other women?" And the fact that he went through with it means something to right? "I saw her. I finished things. The harem has been disbanded. I'm completely unencumbered. Totally yours, if you'll have me."

I really loved this, I did not get to read this as fast as I hoped, but that doesn’t change anything
I loved the characters, the story, the plot, everything,
The 3rd person POV-ish didn’t bother me like other books do with that type of POV
I could understand everything from the story as I would normally with first person POV
Yes, I definitely recommend this book
Thank you Sally for the copy!

Three Minutes to Happiness. The Logan Series, Book 2. Sally Clements
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
In the mood for romance I picked up this one. Its a simple story, not riveting, not gripping where you just Have to know what comes next, but a well written and plotted, standard romance. Val is a sweet lady, but with the examples of her failed marriage and her mums serial boyfriend/husband encounters, she's convinced true love doesn't exist, and its a waste of effort looking for it. She's happy – ish- with her quiet life, trying to get by and build a career, and then flatmate Maggie drags her to a speed dating event where she meets Finn. He's in a similar position, believing true love and all that to be a myth. He's happy with his friends with benefits encounters, and keeping everything casual, and then cousin Sorcha drags him speed dating as she wants to find someone for herself. When he sees Val, bam...something hits him.
I liked both Finn and Val, they're characters that feel very real, and the reasons for their lack of belief in love are very sincere, they honestly believe what they feel. Too often motivations and reasons given for people's behaviours just don't add up, here they do, we see and understand the reasons they feel as they do, and it adds to that feeling they could be people we know. I want my leads to feel realistic, to feel as if I could know them, and I need to empathise with they way they act and believe.
Initially they have that connection, but they both thinks twice and its not til they meet unexpectedly some weeks later that things heat up again. Though they've tried neither has been able to put the other out of their mind. Val isn't joining the harem though – its only her on not at all. Finn's so entranced, caught, absorbed by her he does what to him would have been unthinkable previously, and tells the other ladies its over. In doing so he learns something about how people feel, when it doesn't go quite as he expected. He's on a learning curve all round, and ready for change but Val is determined to keep things light and fluffy though the sexual tension between them just sizzled off the page, and they couldn't keep their hands off each other. . The sex scenes were very well done, not overly graphic, or sleazy but very sensual and intimate. Then the family party....and its drama all round. That ought to suit me with my hankering for tears and sadness ,but though it fitted the story line, and other things were going on with Val that slotted in, it didn't quite give me the deep flavour of sadness I needed. Sort of sad-lite :) and not the “oh god, what's he/she going to do now??” that I need.
Overall I enjoyed this book, a good solid read, I liked it but I just didn't love it – its a good read as a one off, but not one for keeping or re reading for me. Still, if a sexy, gentle, romance is what you want this is perfect. Priced at £1.86 for 179 pages is average for the genre.

Are you ever in the mood for an uncomplicated romance that has a tiny bit of steam along with some sweetness? Then look no further than Three Minutes to Happiness by Sally Clements. This is a nicely written story that flows well from start to finish.

Aspiring photographer Valentine Jones is a nice young woman who fell in love at a very young age, and as a result, married the wrong guy. Now she is divorced, making strides in her quest to be a recognized photographer and not interested in falling in love ever again. When she is forced to attend a speed dating event with her best friend Maggie, she stumbles upon the man of her dreams, Finn Logan.

Architect Finn Logan never thought he would find anyone of interest when he was dragged to a speed dating get-together by his younger cousin Sorcha. He was there to basically chaperone. But after three minutes of conversation with Val, Finn was intrigued. Oddly enough, he doesn't even find the two women he is presently dating intriguing.

Through some business dealings, which eventually leads to more than a professional relationship, Val and Finn find their happily ever after. Overall, a solid read that will not cause any angst or sobbing, just a huge smile.

This book was a fairly quick read, but with quite a bit of fluff. Basically, the main character Val (short for Valentine) is ironically against love and the love interest, Finn, is also against it, but very into making it. They meet at a speed dating even that both were dragged to against their will and bond over their desire to be anywhere but at this event. They then have several convenient "chance" meetings afterward and can't decide how much to like each other. The concept of his having a "harem" is mentioned repeatedly, as is her resistance to being burned by love, again. Of course, upon realizing that she's not like the other women, he breaks ties with his "harem". She takes one step forward, two steps back, in deciding whether or not to risk falling in love. It claims to have the setting in Ireland, but there are very few references.

On the other hand, I will say, that the plot moved heavily on events rather than solely a yammering of emotions. I did enjoy the frequent mention of wine, as well as the supporting characters. The desire to support herself on her own was also appreciated. In conclusion, it wasn't the best book that I've ever read and it certainly wasn't the worst, just average.

Val (Valentine) gets dragged to a speed dating event by her romantic roommate Maggie. Maggie is set on finding true love, which Val has given up after her husband cheated on her and got divorced two years ago. Val goes along, but has not meet anyone she would check off to be contacted by until Finn. Finn Logan is there only to watch over his younger cousin who signed them both up. Finn's love is his work and his harem of girls that know his deal of no commitment. When Finn sits with Val for his three minutes of speed dating something intrigues him. They each check off to see each other again, only Finn never calls. At a Logan family wedding weeks later, Val is the photographer and Finn is having a hard time trying to convince her to date him. She doesn't want to be part of his harem. Can Finn change Val into believing in love again and give up his harem???

This story is fun and sweet. I will definitely like to read more of The Logan Series.

This was another fun read from Sally Clements that had some great characters who made you laugh, made you sigh, and made you smile all the way through the book. There wasn’t a ton of tension and the plot wasn’t a very deep, but it was a light read that was lots of fun and very enjoyable.

Val and Finn had some fun moments together that made me laugh. Val had a way of keeping Finn on his toes and making him want more…which of course wasn’t something Val was always ready to give, but it was fun watching the two of them work through the initial start of their relationship. I loved watching Val come in to her own with regards to her career and seeing her carve out a path for herself. It was also great to see Finn with his cousin and him showing a real caring side to himself. And of course his family and the party were just awesome!

All in all a fun read that will keep you entertained and smiling without causing too much emotional angst.

This short contemporary romance is a case of what you see in the blurb is what you get. It's short, it's sweet, and that's about it.

I think I wanted something a little *more* when I read this. There could have been more meat around Val's efforts to expand her photography or with Finn's troubled cousin. As it was, even the relationship difficulties - what with Finn's previous lack of commitment and Val's aversion to committing to anyone after being burned by her ex - could have been spun out a bit more to make things fuller.

Regardless, it was a sweet tale so if you're looking for something to pass a quick afternoon, this is a decent option. It's just very non-memorable!

Speed dating?!? Well, not really…the main characters were dragged to the event by friends/family as chaperones/moral support. As it happens…these two find the other “ticking their boxes” but the chance was never acted upon until a chance meeting. Sparks fly again and they try not to do anything with it but…fate has other ideas. The dialogue is interesting and engrossing but the characters were a little flat to me. While I liked them well enough I wasn’t as vested as I thought I would be. All in all a good read for a dreary rainy (snowy) day.

A very quick, enjoyable read! There are a few editorial errors - "forth" instead of "fourth," an extra word here and there, and the wrong character's name in a couple of spots - but nothing too bad. Also, though it's set in Ireland, it has a very American feel. That doesn't really bother me, especially in a contemporary romance, but it might bother other readers, so be warned!

I would recommend this to anyone who likes simple, easy romance with believable characters. Its tone reminds me a little of Julie Garwood's contemporaries, without the suspense/mystery angle. As I said, a nice, sweet read with an ending that leaves you satisfied.

I enjoy the writing style of Sally Clements. She always offers a well plotted, sweet romance with an extremely satisfying happily ever after. This book in the Logan series covers all the bases. It's an evenly paced, character driven, well detailed story with clever dialogue, intriguing characters (both primary and secondary) and a beautifully detailed setting. Add a little chemistry between the hero and heroine and everything comes together well.

I am really enjoying this series and found this book an easy read. However I can't help feeling that it was written quickly and could have been better instead of focusing on lots of niceness.
Lots of parts of the book that could've gone into detail more (the problems with the cousin, the failed marriage, her business struggle/relationship with friend etc) would've been good. It also would've been good to bring back the previous series characters a bit more to find out how they were developing.
That said, I will carry on this series so it has done something for me :)

Through a speed dating event, Val met Finn. None of them wanted to go but they did. They liked each other but never got in touch. They met again in a wedding where Val was the photographer's assistant.
Will Val be able to forget about her ex-husband cheating on her and trust Finn enough to get into a relationship with him?
Will Finn be able to dissolve his harem and stick to just one woman?
I enjoyed a lot this sweet, funny and easy to read book, and I recommend it to anybody who likes romance.

This was such a great book. It was not your typical romance novel. The Finn & Val met at a speed dating event that neither wanted to go to. They were both intrigued with the other. They ran into each other at a wedding and agreed to see each other again and the rest was history. The difference in this story was that Val was the one that was not interested in anything more than a fling and Finn was the one that wanted a commitment. It was an interesting twist and written really well. I loved it.

Three Minutes to Happiness was a fun little number. Val and Finn are dragged to a speed dating event, intrigue one another, but don't act on it. A chance meeting brings these two together and sparks start. The story was fun and held my interest. I'm a fan of Sally's work. If you're looking for a quick, enjoyable read, I recommend this one.

More lust, more romance and more Logans in part 2 of the series. Val and Finns ways to look at love I found a bit frustrating, but since that is obvious the meaning, it works well for the story. I like it especially that you get to know the Logan family a bit better. I wonder what part 3 will bring!
Thank you, Sally Clements, for sharing this!

Well, it sure is good but it's not extraordinary.

The characters are nice, especially the female protagonist. The male protagonist... well, I don't like the fact that he didn't call her but hey :D

The writing style is a bit faulty... don't know, it wasn't really exciting or anything, just plain.
