This grumpy mountain man has fallen head over heels for his curvy physical therapist… ...now he just needs to make her his.
Chase Last month, my physical therapist told me his daughter was taking over his clinic. To be honest, I didn't think much of it. Until I saw her through the window. Molly is perfect. She's gorgeous and curvy with a sweet smile that can light up any room. And I knew right then that she was meant to be my girl. Sure, seducing her might be against the rules. But I'm not about to let that stop me. Molly is mine. And I'll do whatever it takes to convince her...
Claiming His Girl is a short romance story featuring a grumpy mountain man, his sweet physical therapist, and one steamy HEA. It can be read as a standalone in less than an hour. Enjoy!
Super short, with lots of potential, but.... I needed more development. I realize this was going to be insta-love, but some things that were left out drove me crazy. Molly is a physical therapist and Chase is a Marine who needs physical therapy ---for what? It was never mentioned. Chase has a dog and wanted to visit Molly when she went to visit her parents out of state but he had no one to watch his dog....yet he has a brother in the same town who owns a bar. Why can't he watch the dog? I'm being nitpicky because I liked the premise of the story but wanted to see it fleshed out more..sigh. Another 50 pages of story could've made this a 4 or 5 star read.
Well that was over way too fast!! Cute story about Chase, a scarred returned Marine and Molly, a physical therapist. Recommend if you need a straight out lovefest!!.

This book didn't resonate with me as strongly as the previous ones. I found the male main character somewhat difficult to connect with and at times, his behavior felt a bit unsettling. The dynamics between him and the female main character seemed slightly rushed and not entirely consensual, with her expressing the need for more time and him persistently pursuing her regardless. Despite this, my admiration for the author's previous works in the series remains untarnished. I'm eager yet hopeful as I move on to book 2, anticipating a return to the compelling storytelling I've enjoyed so far.
Can I really complain this was too short, especially when I know it’s meant to be short & sweet? I want to give it more stars because it delivers that, as promised. It was just way tooo short to squeeze in enough story or spice for me, personally.
It ended up just being painful for me. The couple meets, then the next page is several weeks/ months later and he’s calling her baby. We don’t see them together getting to know each other/ develop a relationship. Then he kisses her for the first time and instantly shoves a hand down her pants (and roughly shoves a finger in her) only to be surprised she’s a virgin. So NOT hot😔. IRL I’d find this behavior skeevy gross (at least kiss for more than 30 seconds or maybe grab a boob first before running/ skipping straight for home plate).😂🤣😂
I guess I need to stick with slightly longer (90+pgs) fast insta stories because this was just too little of everything for me in its 40-45 pages.
This is book two of the Fit Mountain Standalones series and the main characters are physical therapist Molly Mathews, who has recently taken over her father’s clinic, Cooper Hills Physical Therapy Clinic, when he retired, and one of his former client, Chase Andrews, a Marine veteran man with scars inside and out, who was one of the clients she was to take over therapy for. But Chase hasn’t been turning up for his appointments and Molly decides to go to his home and find out why. He lives on the far side of the mountain, in quite a remote place, which she finds almost magical and very peaceful. He isn’t interested in being so close to her, already having seen her in her office and knowing she was his girl. He wants to get better himself and then approach her to tell her this, but her turning up is way ahead of where he hoped to be with her. She asks for five minutes and lets him know she will do all she can to help continue his physical therapy, even coming to him remote home to do it each week, to help him recover.
On their last session together before the holidays, she drags him out of his comfort zone to help with decorations outside, making him work his muscles still, just in different ways. A moment of attraction hits and she allows herself to be unprofessional and open up under him, until reality hits. She pretty much runs out saying she shouldn’t have done it as he was her client, and then she left to see her parents in Florida. He tried contacting her repeatedly, but she refused to reply to him in any way. He knows she is supposed to be back by New Year’s Eve, but has heard nothing, so goes to his friend’s pub to drink the night away with friends. A call soon has him running to find his girl and make sure she knows she is his and he has no intention of letting her go again! There are always ways to bypass the rules and remain professional, but it looks like Chase isn’t even going to let her make that choice, as he claims her for his own. Absence has made the heart grow fonder and she realises she can’t live without him. A short and steamy HEA ending with a therapist and her older mountain man client coming together, unable to ignore their connection. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion above.
Grumpy/sunshine, ex military, mountain man, age gap, young physical therapist, instalove, very quick read, hea
I longer this. I liked how she is sweet and young and willing to meet Chase outside the office to help him. Little dies she know he's a gorgeous mountain man. I was very fast but sweet...the thing that annoyed me was they are getting closer and she's helping him decorate for xmas...Feeling the chemistry...having feelings...then he's all oh baby. Its gonna feel so good when I'm inside you. WAIT hold up? And she's confused because she doesn't want to cross a line and she's a Virgin of course. And he just doesn't get it. Even at the end when they are getting their HEA, he's just taking. She doesn't really say lets have sex. saying age made a mistake and she was coming to see him. OK GREEN LIGHT FOR CHASE! He's saving her, then undressing her, and then having sex with her. I was disappointed because for me because these two had tons of potential.
I loved that he saw her first, I loved that he was self conscious and wanted to work on his own therapy before meeting her and shooting his shot. I love that he was so sweet with her in the beginning.
Stella Banks writes incredible steamy as all heck novellas that pack a punch. This is exactly that!!!
Chase’s physical therapist turned his practice over to his daughter, Molly. Chase sees Molly and falls head over heels for her and decides to skip his appointment. Molly frustrated Chase keeps missing his appointments goes to his house. They strike a deal to get the sessions in, hold them at his house where he is more comfortable. Molly feeling glad she finally got her Dad’s favorite patient to agree to their sessions, she didn’t expect him to come to her rescue and fall head over heels.
❤️Grumpy Mountain Man ❤️Curvy FMC ❤️She’s His Physical Therapist ❤️Cute Doggie 🐶
Eeeekkk! Soooo good! I absolutely love Chase & Molly! Their feelings for one another are sweet and hot. I am loving Stella’s books. She packs so much happiness into these stories. An absolute must read.
Claiming His Girl is the first installment in Stella Banks’ Fit Mountain Instalove series. In it, she chronicles the romantic journey of Molly Mathews and Chase Andrews. She is a physical therapist who takes over her father’s practice when he retires. Chase is muscular and grumpy, and one of four Andrew brothers. Due to injury received will on active duty, Chase needs therapy. When they finally meet, sparks fly. Will these two act on their feelings? To find out, you must read this book.
This is the first-time reading Ms. Bank’s work. She does a remarkable job with literary devices. Her characters are strong, independent, yet vulnerable. This character-driven plot moves at a steady pace. The dialog, both conversational and internal monologues allow readers to get an in-depth understanding of the lead characters. The camaraderie amongst the Andrew brothers, especially their banter, is enjoyable. Ms. Banks paints vivid scenes that pull readers into each scene. Nicely done, Ms. Banks.
This is a short story about Chase, a Marine veteran, and Molly, his physical therapist. It is only about 40 pages long, but the author packs a lot into those 40 pages, and I loved it!
Chase and Molly are such great characters. Chase calls Molly his girl despite only seeing her through the window of the physical therapy office. Chase's attraction to her is immediate, but because Chase is her patient, Molly resists her feelings.
This book is romantic and spicy and just look at that beautiful cover! Oh, and Chase has a dog. I love it when authors include a pet of any kind in their books.
This was my first book by Stella Banks. I have another of hers on my TBR, and I can't wait to read it. If you love romance and spice all wrapped in a very quick read, you will definitely want to try Claiming His Girl.
TROPES: ~grumpy x sunshine ~doctor x patient ~instalove
PLOT: Chase is a Marine veteran who is going through physical therapy. Molly is taking over her father's physical therapy clinic - her father specifically singles out Chase and asks Molly to keep an eye on him. When he doesn't show up for his appointments, she ends up going to his house and volunteering to do his appointments there. They get closer as time passes.
THOUGHTS: Cute story, low steam, and no chemistry between the leads. I was pretty bored reading this novella.
SAFETY: Virgin/celibate?: virgin heroine, not a manwhore hero OM/OW?: no Cheating/sharing?: no Kinks: lots of "good girl"s HEA? yes
I love reading grumoy Ex-military men who end up with HEA. Chase is a man who doesn't know how to handle Molly replacing her father as his physical therapist. So, he skips his appointments with her all together. Which spurs Molly, who is a strong, determined woman to show up at Chases home. She won't back down from a challenge, no matter who it involves. All she wants to do is help people like her dad did. However, she never expected her to show up for in home sessions to find the man of her dreams. Age be damned. She gets scared and runs away for the holidays. Little does she know that when she gets home, Chase is going to be saving her more than just her heart.
Molly (h) takes over her father’s physical therapy and becomes concerned when Marine veteran Chase (H) fails to show up for his appointments. She’s unaware that Chase stopped in for his appointment, saw her through the window, and having instantly fallen for her, is determined to make himself whole on his own before approaching her. Molly heads up the mountain to convince Chase to give her a chance, even offering to come to his home for private appointments. As the two get to know one another, things begin to heat up, even as Molly struggles with the ethics of becoming involved wit ha patient. Hot and steamy mountain man romance with a side of angst and danger.

Banks delivers another instalove hit. Molly Matthew is patiently awaiting her 45 y/o client and Marine Veteran, Chase Andrews. She has taken over her father’s physical therapy clinic and the mountain man hasn’t shown up for any of his appointments. Read why he’s been avoiding her and how they each manage to rescue each other…he, from loneliness and she, from mortal danger. The bonus epilogue is brief, sweet, and steamy…just like the short story. I have received an ARC via Booksprout and I am leaving an unbiased review voluntarily.
Chase is a wounded war hero. He has been taking physical therapy treatments from jay. When Jay retires his daughter Molly Takes over his practice. Molly is sweet, but young. She takes her job seriously and wants to help others. When Chase fails to show up at his scheduled appointments she goes to his home to check on him. Chase took one look Molly and decided she was his. He just needs to get better for her. This is such a swoon worthy short read. It’s hard to believe that in just six chapters we see a complete story with a great plot line. This is a define recommendation from me.
Claiming His Girl is short, hot, and so sweet. Military veteran Chase is hiding away on Fit Mountain, avoiding life and trying to heal. Physical therapist Molly is determined to help him—in his own domain—when he doesn’t show up to his appointment at her clinic. I loved every moment of how this novella progresses, from her thoughtful care and conscientious treatment of her patient to Chase being open, honest, and respectful of her position. These two have dynamic chemistry and a beautiful love story. This quick read is delectable and delicious.
This is the first novella I’ve read by this author and I wasn’t disappointed. The story has a lot of potential, I would’ve loved a little bit more of backstory or dialogue between the characters when they get to know each other because it jumps from meeting to the last day of physical therapy and then to some angst. Other than that, I think the story is great. Some drama, angst and a dash of spiciness.

I love this romance between Chase and Molly. It is quick read, but it hits all the right notes to give you a perfect story. I love the characters and how you immediately want what they want. It may be insta-love, but it still has that fun sexy anticipation that I crave. It is on my 'need a romance fix' shelf.

Chase is a former soldier who is going through physical therapy. He is committed to healing, however when his therapist retires and his daughter takes over. One look at her and he is a goner. He decides he can't let her see him until he is whole again. Molly doesn't take no for an answer and treats him at his home. They fall in love.

This is my first book read from this Author and I really enjoyed it. This was a great short read, and it won't be my last. I absolutely love novellas, and the instant connection and chemistry two characters have when they first meet. The intimacy is hot and steamy , the dilemma on knowing if these feelings are true .
Nice yummy tidbit. Quick way to add another tally mark in my GR reading challenge.
Sure, it was insta-love / age-gap / first-time-for-her / grumpy-sunshine / mountain man … all the tropes! But presented well, in my opinion. I also downloaded the steamy bonus epilogue.
And now I want to check out other books hy this author!
Molly is the new physical therapist in the small mountain town where Chase lives. Her father ran the clinic before her and now she just has to convince him to give her a shot. Chase is in love with Molly since day one and now he has finally the chance to get his woman. Instalove, age gap, OTT alpha , romantic, steamy and safe with a sweet HEA and no drama 😍😍😍😍
This was a super cute quick read. I love reading short love stories while I'm at work. I enjoyed the quick build up to their relationship. This is my first book by this author and I plan to read more. She gives just the right amount of spice where it's not too much but absolutely perfect.
Stumbled upon this series on kindle unlimited and I’m so glad I did. They’re perfect for this group reading challenge I’m part of. Not only that, man are they spicy. Every well done spice. Chase and Molly are great together. He cares for her in a way no one ever has. She’s scared at first, but the ending was perfect. These 2 are meant for each other!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is instant love between Chase and Molly but Molly tries to keep a professional distance. It was both romantic and scary how they they get together finally.
This was meh - a 42 page novella could pack more of a punch but I needed something short and sweet and it was. Just not that exhilarating. Could see myself perhaps reading the others if the need arose but overall underwhelmed.
This books has been my favorite short story. Not just because it’s was written well with lots of emotion and love… but because my husband’s name is Chase and I’m going to school to be a physical therapist! ❤️
I rate this 2 stars it was a fast read I enjoyed it but didn’t love it felt like there was so much missing to the story but still overall enjoyed it don’t think this authors for me but might give her another chance eventually cause I already started this series and they are fast reads at least
