One of the central ideas in the book is the importance of deciding to achieve the best future possible. He encourages readers to start with the mindset that we can think of what are the best relationships, friendships, education, work, and financial situations we could have. This positive decision-making is the first step toward creating a better and more fulfilling life.

He talks about the power of turning the impossible into possible. By believing in your goals and dreams, you can make them happen. You miss out on many opportunities if you let fear of disappointment hold you back. The biggest risk is not making any choices or taking any action at all. Instead, he talks about focusing on the excitement that lies behind the fear, which can drive you forward.

Another key point in the book is the importance of taking the time to discover your life’s work. This process is a journey in itself, one that should not be rushed but explored and enjoyed. Finding what you love to do is essential for a fulfilling and meaningful life. A true failure is giving up when things get tough and quitting your journey to success before reaching your goal. Persistence and resilience are crucial to overcoming challenges and achieving your dreams.

As a fiction, I would give it 2.5 stars, mostly because it's too simplistic. As a non-fiction, I think it has more value: 3 stars.

I read this book aloud with my mom <3 and so I highly recommend that if you read this book, to do it with someone to discuss and absorb the lessons. Premise: wealthy grandfather leaves grandson with letters full of life lessons instead of inheritance, and boy goes off to discover his life purpose traveling with the letters. Lots of good nuggets of wisdom in there that I’ll implement in my life! Thought the ending/plot could be tied up more, however. 4.5/5 stars
