This was a really cute book. Everything one would expect from a story of this kind. I had issues with the way the characters spoke far too formally, even for the time period. Most of the time when a book is set in this era, the people speak as we do today, but without contractions and with a bit more respectability, far unlike this book. I was also annoyed by the names. Eunice really isn't the name of a leading lady in a romance novel. Nor is the name Tedric one that fits even a minor character. My final complaint is that a lot of the terms used for clothing and the like weren't always accurate even to my limited knowledge of the era and the setting. One that stands out (because it was on the final pages) is the use of the word "pants." I know it's a small complaint. But they are "trousers" or "breeches" as the term "pants" in Britain refers to underwear and people of the time would have referred to them as "breeches" or "trousers."

Good story.

Probably one of the earliest stories with AA teaching. Also the prayers for guidance and were well timed well worded.
