The house Mal lives in is ridiculous.
What in 50 shades is going on in this football team.

I can't believe I'll have to wait to read the rest of North and Malcolm's story. These are novellas, but in reality they're continuations of the same plot, progressing slowly. Mal is still an enigma at this point, and I loved watching him melt for North against his better judgment. There's so much depth despite the small page count, and that in itself is impressive. I'm hooked and totally invested. And the spice!!!! So excited to see what direction Arden Long takes with this series!

This is it!
The story takes off again, and in this part, giant steps are taken in regards of the development of the relationship between North and Mal.
I love that they spend so much time together. Both adhere to the established norms in their relationship, and a lot happens in a short period.
This time, Mal takes the lead narration wise, and I find it crucial. Because he's a character who barely expresses what he feels out loud, so having access to his inner voice helps readers better understand his own dilemmas and struggles.
Although the romance is still not fully there and the relationship remains purely erotic and sexual, we are gradually moving towards that. North seems to be all in, and being as charismatic as he is, he doesn't hesitate to express it. What he doesn't understand yet is that Mal doesn’t seem to be emotionally available, probably due to traumas from his past, although we don't have details about it yet.
I feel conflicted about Paul entering the equation and the role he may or may not play in the future. I think he might be one of those characters meant to annoy and create drama, and I'm not looking forward to it, hahaha. But I'll wait and see.
I also love how the management of kisses has such an impact on Mal. Despite resisting having something serious and emotionally connecting with North, each kiss puts his armor at greater risk, and it's wonderful to see how he tries to resist the impossible.

Curiosity killed the cat. It was better than the last one, I liked that he treated North a little better with the way he acted but in the way he speaks he was a massive red flag walking. Mal needs therapy sessions at least once a day if not two times and some anger issues management because this man needs to calm down. One moments he was nice, buying him clothes and food and the next time he was mad, talking shit about the guy and said they're never going to be together (also he was so annoying in the scene with the EpiPen, like on one hand he cared but the way he saw that was wrong). North was a sad puppy in this one and I get the sub/dom dynamic they have but in some situations it was over the limit.

For this third installment, it really leaves me feeling mixed. I understand the basis of this story arc, which heavily advertises toxicity and sex, but there is just a lot of sex here—especially in unbelievable amounts at a time.
The internal battle, the angst, the awareness… All of those elements are easily set up to be tackled, but they really aren’t touched or showcased. We did get a little more emotion at the end of this one, but the concept of North being straight/questioning that? Nowhere to be seen. He even mentions being okay with a relationship, but where was that internal arc? Last we heard, he was straight, no questions asked.

I am still enjoying the series when comes to the sex and bdsm parts. They are hot together for sure. North getting it in the woods too hot. Need more of toy play in public. I wasn't into this whole side thing with Paul an ex sub wanting Mal back. That could gave been left out and would been better. I want North too keep breaking Mal's walls down until he finally can't deny he's falling for him. He's fighting it but want work.
I am still enjoying the series when comes to the sex and bdsm parts. They are hot together for sure. North getting it in the woods too hot. Need more of toy play in public. I wasn't into this whole side thing with Paul an ex sub wanting Mal back. That could gave been left out and would been better. I want North too keep breaking Mal's walls down until he finally can't deny he's falling for him. He's fighting it but want work.
