2 stars instead of my 3 average because it was too obvious. I rolled my eyes from the first few pages. It is 15 yrs old tho, so I debated 2-3 stars. Easy read for a few hours. Won't stop me reading the series if I can find them for 25¢ each, too.

This story is about Clayton Landry and Victoria "Tory" DeSimone. I found the story interesting and easy to read.

4 Stars! ~ Clayton, the lawyer, is the middle Landry. He's been wrongly convicted of the murder of his wife. Tori was Clayton's paralegal, and it was her testimony that got twisted and clinched the prosecutions case. Now after four years, Chance takes an opportunity and escapes. He runs to Tori to find out what it is she hasn't been telling and why she lied on the stand. Tori has to convince him that she's innocent and the only way to do that is to help him find the real murderer.

The plot twists were very well done. I really enjoyed this book.

We are first introduced to the Landry's of Jasper, Montana in Ms. Robert's last book of her Rose Tatoo series. That's the story of Cade, cousin to the infamous Landry brothers. The Landry land had been split in two; the Lazy L was Cade's and the Lucky 7, belonged to the seven cousins. There's a ten year mystery surrounding the disappearance of Caleb and Priscilla Landry. It's been said that Priscilla took off with another man and Caleb went after them, leaving behind their seven adult sons. The brothers have never found any clue to the where abouts of their parents.
