WHAT I REALLY LEARNED IN COLLEGE is well worth the price tag and more. At only $0.99, I can promise you will not be disappointed!

Divorcee, Alex Rose is every boy’s wet dream. She’s a cougar with 2 young children and she’s determined to take charge of her life after discovering that her husband has been getting freaky with another woman. Taking the bull by the horns, she decides to go back to college and what she finds there is more fulfilling than anything she ever dreamed. Not only does she enrich her mind in her quest for that degree she has always dreamed about, but she also snags a delicious, 21 year-old, boy-toy and enriches her sex life too!

Boy-toy, Mason Brooks is hot and it’s no wonder the ladies love him – his wavy blonde hair and bright blue eyes combined with dimples and charm, yep, he’s definitely got a panty-melting look about him!

BUT! Alex came to school to learn and earn a degree and not to play house with this sexy young buck… The temptation proves to be too great and Alex succumbs to Mason’s powers of persuasion. Pheromones are flowing, clothes are flying, things are getting hot and heavy and BAM! WHAMP, Whamp, whamp… it’s over before it began and it was mind-blowing - for him… Sucked for her… Maybe it was first time jitters…
Our kisses came quick and heated, our arms embracing, our hands groping. I could not get enough of him. I wanted him so badly, but I had to slow down. I didn’t want another debauched sexual escapade as before. I could only hope that his stamina would improve with time and experience. And perhaps with a few pointed lessons, his ability to give head would improve as well. I did not believe I could stand another episode like before without screaming at him for being so bad at oral.

Okay, so maybe it wasn’t first time jitters. Nope, sadly, this young man is NOT a natural in the bedroom. He is desperately in need of some love lessons, but how on earth do you tell someone that they suck in the sack without totally devastating them? Alex has been around long enough to know that you can’t continue to do things exactly the same over and over again and expect different results… That is called insanity.
So teach me.” A sly smile spread across his lips. “I’m your eager student. I want to make you happy.” He edged his way back up to me, kissed me gently and whispered, “I want to make you scream.”
“Have you ever made a woman scream doing that?” Curiosity got the best of me.

WHAT I REALLY LEARNED IN COLLEGE was very entertaining and it’s perfect if you enjoy romance reads where the older woman snags a younger man. I loved that the hero, Mason, needed to be taught – most twenty-something men need a little direction in the bedroom and although I quite enjoy book where the boys are “Sex Gods” from the get-go, that’s not generally the case in real life.

WARNING: THERE IS A CLIFFHANGER! Aaahhh yes, the dreaded cliffhanger and I am not sure when the next installment is due out, but you can bet your sweet little hiney that I will be jumping right on it when it’s available. I think it is worth mentioning that the cliffhanger, as much as it pained me, wasn’t THAT terrible, but it definitely left me wanting more! Get it! Read it! Tell me what you think! I hope you love it!

NOTE – A free copy of this book was provided to me in exchange for a review.

Alexandra (Alex) Rose is a 32-year-old divorcee with 2 sons. Once her youngest son starts school full-time she decides to go back to college as a double major so she can make something of her life. It’s not an easy transition since she’s older than most of the students but she’ll cope. There’s a hot guy in her sociology class but she’s not even sure that he’s registered in it since he’s been sleeping for the first few class meetings. It turns out that he is enrolled in the class and he has also noticed her. They pair up for an assignment and Mason Brooks is definitely attracted to Alex. He invites her to meet him and his buddies out for drinks for his 21st birthday. Yikes! This guy is 11 years younger and that makes Alex a cougar.

Alex and her friend Lisa meet Mason and friends out for drinks. She and Mason do hook up and the sexual encounter is less than spectacular. However, Alex sees that this fine male specimen has potential. She’s been divorced for 5 years and has not started dating so why not start with a fling with a young, hot college boy? She continues to see Mason once he agrees that he will let her teach him how to make a woman happy in the bedroom. She may also be applying a bit of psychological conditioning as well.

Things go well for the most part and Alex knows that this tryst will have to end but does Mason understand that? Friends and family continue to warn her that he’s still a boy at heart and there’s no long-term future for them. There are funny moments, hot steamy bedroom scenes, and the plot moves along at a good pace. There was more to this story than I had expected. It ends on a cliffhanger that will hopefully be resolved in the next book of the series.

Alexandra (Alex) Rose is a thirty-two year old divorced mother of two sons, who decides to return to college to complete her degree. I her Sociology class, Alex is paired up for an assignment with twenty-one year old classmate Mason Brooks. What starts out as a classmate friendship develops into something more when they become attracted to each other. Alex and Mason embark on a sexual journey that is anything but casual ... but it's supposed to be just a fling ... or is it?!

What I Really Learned In College is an entertaining erotic romance that features an older woman - younger man sexual relationship. Author Addison Winters weaves a steamy tale that easily draws the reader into Alex and Mason's friends to lovers relationship. I loved that Alex plays the role of sexual teacher with a touch of domination in the bedroom, it's not often that you see that in erotic romance stories, so I found it refreshing, enjoyable, and rather titillating. I also enjoyed the intertwining storyline of how Alex's family, friends, and ex-hubby react to her relationship with Mason, and how she handles the variety of reactions from them. The story has a surprising twist when Mason's single father Hayden enters into the picture, but alas ... the author leaves the reader with a cliffhanger ending that leaves them wanting more, only to make them wait for Alex and Mason's story to continue in the second book in the series.

What I Really Learned in College gets 4.5 stars from me.
From the synopsis you know Alex is a 30 something divorced mom with two kids who's decided to go back to college.
She is paired up with the gorgeous 20 year old she sits beside in class for a project and they become friends.
Reluctantly she agrees to show up at a club for his 21st birthday and this is where the fun begins.
While Alex is unsure and tries to keep her distance, the sexy, well built, completely trainable Mason gets under her skin and bam we have a full on cougar on our hands.
They both have told each other I love you but Alex is contemplating using Mason for her project.
This is the only reason I can't give it 5 stars, until we get the next book an see where this goes, the whole I love you but in the next breath she's training him and keeping a journal of his progress to possibly be used for her project. That bugged me maybe a bit too much.
And the end, sadly I can't tell you anything without giving too much away and I don't do spoilers, lets just say I'm impatiently awaiting book #2 in this series.

When I started reading this book, I didn't get all its vibe; in fact, I really thought of another DNF/DND due I thought it was way too slow for me... but I was so wrong!

Alex/Lexie could be you or me or anyone else. She's inquisitive, warm, wanting to know more and in control of herself, but open to new experiences, as his affair/relationship with her "beanie boy", Mason, whom is a coming-of-age man, who starts living with this somehow-older-than-him woman.

I liked this book due is opening, entertaining, and kind of educational, without being its first intention. It's sexy, sensual, and funny.
It's about changes, growing, becoming a better and improved person.

I really want to read the second book due it has an amazing cliffhanger!!!!!!!!

4.5 Crazy Stars!

Wow! I was not expecting that. Honestly, I don't know why I signed up to review this but I'm so glad I did. It wasn't at all like I thought it was going to be. It was so much better. The storyline was captivating and had me not wanting it to end. I'm can't wait to read the next installment.

I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.

Let me just state: this book completely wowed me! This was so much better than I thought it was going to be and kept turning pages until I couldn't keep my eyes open. Addison Winters has created a very realistic situations that was written so beautifully.

Alex is a 32 year old divorced mother of two young boys. She has gone back to college to better her future for her sons. In the midst of going back to school she meets a handsome young man who is turning 21 years old. She knows he's off limit because of his age, but one night out for a celebration turns everything into an interesting roller-coaster. Mason is a 20 year old college junior taking the same class, sociology, as Alex. He finds her intriguing but thinks nothing can happen between them because of their age difference. Little does he know that his 21st birthday will bring the two together.

I totally loved the romance between Alex and Mason. It wasn't too slow, but it wasn't fast either. They were flirtatious for a few days with one another but at Mason's 21st birthday things "turn up" and get hot and heated between the two. The sex scenes weren't too crazy -- they were hot and heavy, but they weren't too gritty to read. Some points I thought Alex was a bit too dominant, but then again it fit with the whole age difference.

Mason wowed me majority of the book because despite the age difference he was open and willing to learn all that he could just to be with Alex. Alex seemed like an awesome teacher for him because he caught on to things pretty well. The characters that berated them such as Courtney, Becca, Alex's mom and her siblings -- were all jerks. I think they should have minded they're own business. Not everyone finds happiness in the same age bracket or race. They just all reacted so rudely to them and it pissed me off. People like Nick, Emma, Isaac and Lisa were awesome because even though they were aware of the strange age difference they still supported Alex and Mason at every twist and turn.

I loved Alex son's Max and Henry -- they were simply too adorable and I enjoyed how they approved of Mason no matter his age. They only cared that he made their mom happy and it was just too cute for words. Danny, Alex's ex husband, was a damn jackass. I did not like how he treated his kids. Finding out about the whole Disney trip really irked my nerves and proved that Danny was a complete jerk.

That ending with Hayden, Mason's real father, was crazy! Let alone that sneak peak of the sequel. I just can't believe it. I hope Alex doesn't do anything hurtful and Hayden needs to simply back off!

Overall, this book was a pleasure to read and totally recommend it 110%

I received an advance copy of this book to give an honest review. I am honored to have had the opportunity to read this book.

I was hooked from the very first page. I couldn't read the book fast enough. I almost hollered when i got to the last page, oh yeah I was like WTH. Oh no she didn't, unfortunately yes she did, and it ended being a cliffhanger. Which is fine, I will just have just have to wait for the second book in the series. I do hope I get the opportunity to read the second book in the series in advance as well. Please keep me in mind Samantha.

Alex has been divorce for 5 years and is a 32 years old single mother of 2 boys. When her youngest son starts school full-time she decides to go back to college to get her degree. She wants to give her children a better life.

She is paired up with the gorgeous 20 year old Mason, who sits beside her in sociology. They become friends after spending time together. Mason invites her to his 21st birthday party, she reluctantly shows up at the club for his party. Now this my friends is where the fun begins.

Together the embark on a sexual journey neither one of them expected. Alex is trying to figure out how Mason can possible fit into her all ready hectic life. She has several reservations about having a relationship with a 21 years old. She knows it will be challenging, and their are always people who seem to want to cast the first of many stones her way. At times she is caught between trying to distance herself from Mason and trying to be everything he needs.

I was sucked into the lives of Alex and Mason. Yes their were times when even I wanted to smack him, but hey we were all 21 year olds at one point, right.

Overall, I would recommend this book to all the ladies who wants to live vicariously through Alex.

Divorced for five years and now with all her boys at school , Alex has decided to head back to College and finish her education as when she was younger - heading to College was one of her goals but family and commitments came first. What Alex didn't realise she would leave College with was a boyfriend and not just any boyfriend but someone who is a lot younger than her. Alex is thirty-three and a single mother to two boys and she has caught the attention of fellow classmate Mason Brooks. Mason has just turned 21 years and has his eyes on Alex. Despite Alex's reservations, the pair of them start dating and seeing where things head and then it comes to one of her classes about Human Sexuality . Alex decides to write her class paper on the topic of Female Domination and who better to test out her theories and practicals , than Mason. This novel does contain alot of sexual activity and references which include sex toys etc so if that's not your cup of tea - then this won't be the book for you. If you are like me and don't mind some of it- you can just skim through the chapters of sex as you will get the gist of the story. What happens though near the end when Alex's ex comes back and has something to say about Mason and even more so when Alex meets Mason's single Dad Hayden ? Who will Alex choose when it comes to the crunch - will she stay with toyboy Mason , move back with ex- Danny or will she explore new horizons with Mason's dad Hayden ?

Find out in What I Really Learned in College by Addison Winters . Also for those who have read Schooled by Deena Bright - I found this book to be similar in parts.

Let the good times multiply. What I Really Learned in College, is an extremely entertaining book with a very interesting storyline. Addison Winters presented this romance in an originative and psychologically intriguing script. There are scenes in this book that are so arousing, they had me daydreaming!!!! i.e. If I was ensured to have even a smidgen of fun, as the heroine did, Man oh Man, I would have waited till I hit thirty to get my degree. Now let me tease you a bit about this wonderful story.

Alex is a beautiful 31 year old, that decided to return to college and obtain a degree so she can pursue a career that will make her and her family proud. And by family, I mean her two young sons as she's a divorce mother. Alex embarks on many first during this new and exciting period in her life, but the biggest is her relationship. This courageous woman took a huge risk (finally a heroine with some backbone) in a relationship that could have brought nothin but problems. ( and she has the Best comebacks for snotty people) Graciously though, she's seeing Mason Brooks (bright eyed and buffy tail) a sexy hottie that awakens her sexual prowess. But what started off as a simple fun affair may soon turn into a serious relationship. However, Alex knows she must prepare herself for their inevitable end but not before some new developments are thrown her way.

If there is a divorced romantic out there, this book is a must read!

I give this novel 4 stars!

This book was so good that I was mad when it had to end. Unique, witty, romantic, hot, juicy, and ON FIRE. The book is about Alex who is divorced with two children. She’s reached 30 or so years old, and has decided to go back to college. That caught my attention immediately.

I fell in love with this story rather quickly, because I felt it stood out above so many other books I’ve read. She’s a mother, divorced, and making a big decision.

So Alex heads to college, only to be paired up with a 20 year old for a group project. They become great friends and she decides to have some fun and go to his 21st birthday party! That is where the story really gets good. Excitement, funny, enthralling, and a complete WIN!

Mason is the normal college kid. Handsome, smart, well built, and tempting Alex at every turn. She tries to control her desires, but he just wasn’t taking no for an answer. I have to say this read surprised me! I thought it was just going to be kinky and erotic; not much of a story line! BOY! I was so wrong.

This book has wit, an exciting story line, and a great romantic vibe. It stings quite a bit that I have to wait for book #2! I can’t wait to see where the relationship continues to go. I read this entire novel in maybe 2 to 3 hours. That should tell you it is a must read. I couldn’t put it down. There was always something keeping me on my toes and begging for more.

A fun and flirty read, this book was quite unique with its setup and the roles the characters played. Being the same age as Alex, I put myself in her shoes as she traversed each and every obstacle that came along with dating a younger guy, and there seemed to be many – Aside from the big age gap there was the fact that Alex was a mother, both Mason and Alex’s parent’s concern, Alex’s douche bag ex, and then of course the scrutiny of everyone else around them.

In the beginning I had to wonder what Mason really wanted from Alex. Was it a thrill for him to be with an older woman, to flaunt the idea of being with her, especially with all the attention she got from the other younger guys in college. But their relationship grew into something much more than just two people having fun and Mason seemed to be really genuine. This led me to wondering about Alex’s intentions. Was she in it just for the thrill of being with a younger guy and having fun, or was there something more.

As stated before, I enjoyed the role reversal in this story. There are so many male dominant books and it was refreshing to read a story where the woman was the dominant, even if it was more for fun and experimentation.

The ending of this book left me with many questions and I’m eager to see what is going to happen next.

I got this book from NetGalley thinking it looked interesting. I love a good May/December romance. But this book was mostly tell and no show. I did like the fact that their first encounter wasn't perfect like so many other romance novels. It was realistic in that not everyone was accepting of their relationship. But when she decided to start training him like a psychology experiment and didn't tell him, it bothered me. They spend the whole book saying that they love each other, but the second she meets Mason's father, she starts wondering what it would've been like if she'd met his dad first. How screwed up is that??? The next book looks like she's going to embark on a journey with Mason's father and that just makes me ill. The author screwed up the entire book by even hinting that she'd cheat on Mason after everything they went through. And after her nagging him about not cheating on her on spring break. And not to mention the fact that her ex-husband cheated on her and she kicked his butt out. Hi, hypocrite.

Oh, and I'm 33. Alex is 32, almost 33. They all acted like she was sooooo old. Sorry, but I'm far from an old woman and I'm miffed that she was portrayed as such. There might've been a 10 year age gap between Alex and Mason, but he's legal and so's she. Get over it.

Alex Rose is looking to make some changes in her life. Going back to college seems like a good way to start. But what she gets is far more than she's expecting.

When she meets Mason Brooks, things really start to get interesting. Though there's no way a tryst with Mason will survive "the college years", the 21-year old is the perfect subject for a few psychology experiments. Can she turn him into the perfect lover? Will her heart survive the trial?

What I really Learned in College is delightful. The book doesn't take itself too seriously and is a lot of fun to read. It's especially enjoyable if you've ever been an older student returning to college. I found myself chuckling a great deal as Alex describes what school is like.

There are a few spots where the dialogue is a little awkward but nothing is so egregious as to make it unreadable. Be prepared for a few really good, but not over the top, sex scenes. This book is a nice weekend read. I can't wait for the next book, as our cougar, Alex, finds herself in a bit of a pickle at the end of the story.

This was an overall impressive piece of erotic writing. Most of the erotica that I read is thin on story and character development, but not this book. The two main characters are well developed and interesting. You can definitely see the polish in this book.
The story follows the romance between a divorced mom returning to college and a typical 21 year old college boy. Addison Winters does not get stuck in the cougar stereotypes, because she examines and explores the relationship between the two characters. In particular, she explores how both characters' peers view their relationship and the reactions to it. I found this to be particularly compelling and it kept me interested.
I gave the book a 4, rather than a 5, because the sex hits a rut after a while. It starts off very hot, but I felt like it didn't go as far as it could have. The characters explore new sexual territory, but unfortunately the description gets a little too much like a text book

When I finished the book....I had to say my response was OMG how long until I have to wait for next book? I am hooked on the story that I haven't read before or at least a version of a story I have never read before. (Which lets admit that don't happen a whole lot)

Within the beginning of the book there was a part where Alex (the lead female) stated "Sex is an awakening of the senses. The body is a playground to explore, with each of the senses. Sight, touch, smells, sounds and tastes are tantalizing and need to be shown attention.” That is what this book is about. Learning what life is about while exploring all the senses. It is an easy read where you can literally visualize the whole story line from beginning to end. Can't wait to see where the story line goes in the next book. Hurry Up Ms. Winters.......your book friends are ready to tantalize our senses with what is next to come.

What a refreshing change from Alpha Males! I really enjoyed this story and at times had to remind myself Mason is only 21 (yes, a few times I wanted to smack him around). Alex, at 32 has 2 children and a douche for an ex-husband. She meets Alex when she decides to do something for herself and go back to school to get her degree. Soon they spend time together helping each other with school work and Alex finally gives in to the draw she feels for Mason.

But being young, Mason has a lot to learn in the bedroom. And Alex wants to be his teacher!

Follow their journey as they face down the snide remarks, nasty people (family included), and issues that come along with age differences in relationships.

Can’t wait for #2!!!!!

This is a book that was hard to put down and I read it in one day. Alex is an independent woman who had put her life on hold for her husband and then re-discovers just who she is after her divorce. Meeting Mason has sparked a life that even Alex didn't realized she craved. The twist and turns, up's and down's of their relationship keeps you cheering their relationship on and wanting more. Addison Winters adds just enough spice to keep your imagination on over drive and just when you think you have it figured out she throws in a twist and makes you think..."I didn't expect that one" but loving the story even more. If you are looking for a book that is fun, exciting, unpredictable with a hit of humor then grab this book and settle down for an amazing story.

I absolutely loved this book. It was so much more intelligent than the typical books in this genre. I loves that, while the sex scenes were hot, there was so much more to the story. The relationship between Mason and Alex felt realistic and relatable. I found myself wondering, even after I set the book down, what would become of them in the future and whether they would be able to overcome their obstacles.
As a woman, I also really appreciated Alex's character. She wasn't a whiny heroine waiting around to be rescued by some guy. Instead she was the pillar of strength throughout the novel and remained independent and true to herself until the end.
I honestly cannot wait for the next book in this series!

When Alex decided to return to college as a 33 year old mom of two boys, the last thing she thought she'd be doing was seducing her 21 year old classmate. This fling was never supposed to last, but the sexual journey embarked upon by Alex and Mason is anything but casual. Overall, Addison Winters has a very intriguing story line that is well developed and written. The sex scenes were steamy and it was nice to have a well educated soccer mom as the heroine. There were few parts of the story that were bogged down with a few too many details for my taste, but it picked back up to a nice pace by the end. The story doesn't end here, so be prepared to follow it up with book two in the series, 'Making the Dean's List'.

This was really boring to me. I think it had a plot that could have been good, but the author did not write it as good as I had hoped. It has much potential, so I will probably try to get the next book in the series, but no promises.

One of my pet peeves is authors who write books that drag on for pages and pages. That is what this author did throughout the entire book. To me it was annoying in a way. I almost was just about to stop reading but I kept going, and was still very annoyed.

Overall it was an ok read.

I'm finding that authors are challenging my ability to say that I don't usually care for the heroine's in romance. Typically, I'm all about the alpha males. Maybe it's because Alex is closer to my age and more self-assured that I can relate to who her than other heroines in other novels who are typically in their early twenties and fumbling around for a sense of self.

Alex is a smart cookie who shows she can balance all the men in her life, even her arrogant ex-husband. With her two sons in tow, she embarks on a journey back to college and an unconventional (and unintentional) relationship with a fellow student.

A little shy of his 21 birthday when they meet, Alex is understandably hesitant to enjoy the easy company that Mason offers. He's a cute kid and she struggles to keep it that way. Unfortunately, that isn't what Mason wants. More importantly, it's not what Alex really wants either.

The problem is their age difference. At least it's a problem in Alex's world. No one can see past the fact that Mason is 21 and Alex, while older than him, is capable of having a relationship with anyone she chooses. I found the person the most offensive in that regard was her mother. Ugh. It's one thing for a parent not to like your choices, but her mother seemed to be going the extra mile to cause a riff where there shouldn't be one. Her dad, he gets a round of applause from me. And Danny, the ex, throw rocks at him. He was never endearing and even less so when I read how he really treated his boys. Yuck.

The romance between Mason and Alex was sweet with a side of sexy. I wish there were more moments where it was just about the two of them. It seemed like a lot of other stuff took up so much real estate in the book. The sexy bits began and ended so quickly that I didn't feel like I had a moment to really appreciate them.

The ending kind of threw me. Without giving it away, I don't see how the situation is even a debate. Even if Mason isn't Alex's idea of happily ever after, which is based on valid concerns, the option on the table isn't a viable option. Not if I'm supposed to keep my respect for her as a person. And this isn't just my view of her as a woman. It would be the same if it was a man. The "excuse" cited by her friend isn't a good one. Anyone basing their life decisions on the plot of a Hollywood movie shouldn't be allowed to make adult decisions.

Those are my only two gripes. As a whole, the book was a quick and easy read. I'd recommend this to someone looking for a sizzling afternoon read.

I decided to venture into a new reading genre and started with this and I was pleasantly surprised. The pace and story was just what I was looking for before bed time. The book has a great pace and Alex was a great lead character she felt very authentic and real. I found the book to be well written and supporting characters all entertaining. I think my favorite parts of the book came from Alex talking about Mason to her friend Lisa and wish she appeared more. On the critical for me I don't think I personally liked Mason all that much he was just a little to immature to me, really I think all the college kids for me came off a little to childish and obnoxious at times. Regardless I still enjoyed the book very much and am excited for the next book in Alex's life. I would recommended this book to anyone look for a easy, fun, fast and sexy book.
