“Just because you’re a billionaire doesn’t mean you have good taste.” “I’d have to disagree with you, Rachel. I happen to like you… a lot.”
He might be the youngest of the billionaire Royal brothers, but Matthew Royal is still determined to make his own mark in the competitive hotel and resorts business. His grand plans include building a brand new mega resort in Aspen, Colorado.
In the aftermath of a dark family betrayal, Rachel Little has moved to Aspen to rebuild her life. Taking a job as a consultant for the owners of the Green Tree lodge, she sets about finding a suitable buyer while endeavoring to save the near derelict historical building from falling into the hands of greedy developers.
When a handsome stranger crosses her path twice in a week, Rachel finds herself unable to resist his charms. And what more could a girl want than a passion filled romance to help restore her faith in the world?
Attending a town planning meeting Matthew and Rachel are both shocked to discover that they have been unwittingly sleeping with the enemy.
To make matters worse, the city council and resort owners, hatch a mad scheme to settle things once and for all. The two opposing architects are sent to live at the old ski lodge. If they don’t come up with a viable plan for the site, the land will be forfeited.
For Rachel and Matthew, sorting out their messy, unresolved romance is only just the beginning. Throw in a temperamental boiler, a late season snow storm, and an unexpected encounter with the local wildlife, and you have all the ingredients for a steamy, forced proximity, snowed in romantic comedy.
This is everything I expected it to be. I’ve loved this series so as soon as i was able to get my hands on this on, i knew I’d finish it quick. Light hearted, a little predictable but as easy read. Very sad to have finished this series. Jessica Gregory did it again. Well done 👏🏻

Rachel Little is running away from Atlanta and the fallout of her father's embezzlement conviction. She lands in Aspen and accepts a job for her brother in law's parents trying to save their ski lodge. Meanwhile, she starts falling for Matthew Jones, the handsome man who saved her when she went careening down the sidewalk at the airport. Little does she know, he's really Matthew Royal, the man trying to buy the ski lodge and planning to tear it down. When they each discover the secret the other is hiding, will their relationship survive?
I enjoyed reading this dual perspective novel. Although it's part of a series, don't let that fool you. It can absolutely be read as a stand alone. (Though after you finish it, you might want to go read the others! I know I do.) Both characters have their flaws but that makes them relatable. Throughout the story, you find yourself rooting for them but also wanting to yell at them when they make stupid choices. That's the sign of a good story if you ask me.
I volunteered to review this book after receiving an ARC through Hidden Gems.
This is book 3 in a series of which I read and loved book 1, but completely missed book 2 coming out, which I may have to go back to. This full length novel is well written with great characters, both main and supporting, with an interesting storyline. I really appreciated that while it's easy in romance to assign specific roles to characters, the author has been successful in fleshing them out and making them real. Both Matthew and Rachel make both good and bad choices, make mistakes and get things right and at different times I both liked and disliked them. This is a great read and I'm looking forward to more from this author.
* I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from Hidden Gems. *
Rachel was just looking for a fresh start after her life imploded. Matthew was just trying to prove his worth and his place in his impressive family. Neither of them had any idea they would be stuck together trying to make the best design for an old ski lodge. Their journey was rocky but full of fun moments that made the story lovely to read. I particularly loved the few scenes of Matthew's brothers. They seem like a fun bunch. While some of the conflict was frustrating to read, the overall story was light and delightful.
Rachel has moved to Aspen to reboot her life. She finds herself connecting with Matthew and is drawn to him but when they meet at the town planning meeting, they realize that they are both on opposite sides and have been sleeping with the enemy. When they are forced to comply with a scheme that the city council and resort owners come up with or forfeit the land. Will Rachel and Matthew rise to the occasion in spite of the obstacles thrown their way. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
This is such a good read! My only complaint is that it’s just too long…65 chapters plus the epilogue is just too much material to wade through. 🫤 I’m really glad I waded past all the good and not so good material to end up with that totally kick a$$ HEA! The storyline was great; the characters solid; the plot was excellent—just too many chapters getting in the way; and that HEA was so darn good! You really need to add this one to your collection today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and found it so very good—even with 65 chapters!) ❤️❤️
I enjoyed reading this story, I love how the initially met and how that progressed. They have undeniable mutual chemistry and heartstring tugs that test the strength of their rubberband aka work and family stuff. Both characters are likeable and relatable. Author does a great job blending the romantic comedy elements with character depth, steady pace, emotional and steamy. I received a free advanced copy and voluntarily chose to leave this review.
Both with wealthy backgrounds. One now disgraced and one looking to not fail like his brother did. A cute meet at a coffee shop. A relationship formed, then crushed. There are a few ups & downs in both their personal and professional lives. Can they get past the miscommunications, not jump to conclusions, and work together to save an old ski lodge? Enjoy this 3rd book on brothers Royal! 📚🎉❤️🌻
