Thoughts and Musings: Life, Love, and the Human Condition

Rate this book
This book of poetry you hold in your hand is not filled with the definitive answers to life’s many quandaries. While these words are a perspective of certain aspects of our existence, they are not the only view available. They are meant only to assist you along the pathway of your own exploration.

At each juncture in my life, when some random thought poured forth from my mind, it seemed good or right at that moment to commit them to form. It may no longer seem so today. Take it for the insular observations that they are, and let it blend or drive your own thoughts and musings on life, love, and the human condition.

I am a father, husband, worker, traveler, philosopher, lifelong learner, and poet who believes that you can do anything you put your mind to. I am a lover of freedom, a respecter of life, an eclectic dreamer, and eternal optimist.

I grew up in a family full of love, patience and discipline. Taught to respect everyone and fear nothing save God. We learned to judge everyone by their actions and integrity, but never by skin color or appearance. Never be afraid to work for a living, never do anything you aren’t willing to sign your name to, and never take what you haven’t earned.

I have been a construction worker, laborer, truck driver, insurance processor, school teacher, merchant marine and computer programmer. I began writing as a teenager to express my thoughts and emotions. I wrote poetry, song lyrics, and prose as stream of thought or commentary. I write for me and hope others find something enjoyable or useful but ultimately I write because it is part of who I am.

Short Poetic Stories

This collection of poetry is deep and beautiful. The author fluctuates from poetry that rhymes and short poetic stories. I especially liked the photos sprinkled throughout.
