Thinking of Forever
Remedy faced a heart wrenching disappointment when she believed she was about to get engaged; however, her hopes were dashed when his father, who exerted control over every aspect of his life, selected a woman for him to marry. Left at a pivotal crossroads, she ultimately chose to prioritize herself.
The narrative kicks off with an immediate jolt as she steps into the midst of a chaotic family dynamic, where she appears to be the only rational individual in the entire household.
The chemistry between Remedy and Sea is electric. Remedy recognizes his deep affection for her, while also being aware of her fears. He approaches their relationship with patience, taking care to move at a comfortable pace.
The introduction of Sea's sister and Blake adds depth to the story. Emerald serves as a beacon of hope, having endured significant hardship after being abandoned by their parents. Their grandmother offered them a place to stay, yet they were largely left to fend for themselves. I found a personal connection to this narrative, having helped raise my siblings during my mother’s illness. It was truly poignant to witness how they emerged from their struggles, overcoming the pain and trauma that had once defined their lives.
