By its very nature this proved to be a very dry text. Little of the fun of Luarel and Hardy is communicated but this is made up for with masses of detail about their films and lives. In particular details of foreign and edited versions of the films are solid as are biographies of the bit players and behind the scenes personnel who participated in their films.
I felt that I gained a good grasps of their lives and works even is some of the film summaries were a little long winded when more detail could have been provided about the production history.
Illustrations are diverse and interesting and this was a worthwhile cover to cover read for an encyclopedic work.
Fantastic read for fans of probably the best duo ever in my opinion. Very informative. In the days of the Internet this information is readily available however I do use this book to look up episode information etc and it is very useful and informative.
