Loathe to want her. Annoyed to want him. Destined for more.
Pepper Everyone wants the services of a witch. Spells and potions are my commodities, even though humans are skeptics and supernatural creatures are in hiding, making it harder than ever to make a living. When a distant relative asks for my help, I try to say no. Dreams of my death haunt me whenever I’m in this town, but I can’t deny the only family I have left. And then I meet him. The Fae Prince. He despises me on sight, but I want him more than I’ve ever wanted another man. What’s up with that?
Lorcan The past never leaves me. It’s left a bloodstain on my hands I can’t seem to scrub clean even though it’s been centuries since I killed the Trappers. The Fae King has given me the task of bringing my sister home to the Summer Court. A task I relish until I meet her. The witch. Now the past is in my face. A beautiful face that I want to kiss when I should loathe the sight of her. I can’t stop thinking about her. The more time I spend near her, the worse my obsession gets. Then the past becomes the present, and I’m faced with losing more than I ever imagined possible.
Fae’s Witch is the fifth standalone romance in the Summer Court fantasy romance series featuring powerful Fae royals who find their fated mates on their quest to save the Fae.
It’s perfect for fans of portal worlds, intrigue, suspense, heartfelt emotions, explosive chemistry, love, and happily ever after.
Helen Walton is a tea drinking, chocoholic, romance writer. Stories are her obsession, and she adores creating sweet and sensual romances containing a sprinkling of humor and the all-important happy ending. She lives in South Australia with her family, and menagerie of quirky animals where they all take her away from her book world and demand to be fed. Lucky for them, she enjoys cooking but prefers baking.
In order to fully appreciate this novel, readers would do well to read at least the prequel “Fae’s Song” or the first book. I have enjoyed all the books by Walton in this series, but book 5 is by far my favorite. Here is a little history to understand the background of this novel. Book 5 revisits the horrors, death and tragedies that befell the Fae Royals at the hands of the human Trappers. We learn that witches’ potions and spells were what enabled the Trappers. Fae prince, Lorca, was instrumental in saving his mother, Aislinn and Briana from burning to death and in killing the Trappers. His feelings are mixed about witches because he was aided by witch Saltine with a potion to always be able to find Trappers. His father closed the Veil that separates Earth from the Summer Court in order to prevent any more deaths. However, the king later created a doorway in the Veil for Fae to travel to Earth to track Trappers, but his children used it to find a reason why their Spring of Life ( source of their immortality ) was dwindling and later to seek fated mates. Lorcan’s siblings, Saoirse, Rian and Briana have all found their mates with shifters. Respectively they are Arrow (wolf), Sophia (panther) and Sledge (wolf).
This story begins with Lorcan using the doorway to find Saoirse on Earth and ask her to come back home, because the king wants her forgiveness. While visiting, he stays at Sledge’s hotel and crosses paths with Pepper, a witch. She was asked by Sledge to assist him in interrogating Eloise - the shifter who tried to kill Briana - in order to find out with whom she was working. Despite their natural mistrust for each other, Pepper and Lorcan experience a powerful, instantaneous attraction. Read what is in store for them as they journey through intrigue, magic, spells, grimoires, and shocking revelations to arrive at their final destination…total destruction or eternal happiness. Once readers start, they will not be able to put down this masterfully written paranormal romance between a powerful Fae prince and his fated spicy witch. Well worth 5 stars ⭐️ and beyond. Lorcan never wanted to find his fated mate and he definitely didn’t want it to be a Witch but when the fate’s step in, they decide who is best for whom and in his case it’s the beautiful Pepper, a Witch who doesn’t know how powerful she is.
Pepper didn’t trust many people but when Sledge asks for a favour, she just couldn’t refuse but what she didn’t expect was to be thrown into another world. A world full of problems and Lorcan, a Prince who for some reason didn’t trust her!
Another exciting sizzling storyline within this series full of action, fun, adventure, passion, family, wonderful characters, forgiveness, redemption and an evil that has to be found and destroyed.
Not To Be Missed!.

Lorcan can't abide witches, but he must rely on one to help protect his sisters in the human realm. Pepper is immediately flustered upon meeting Lorcan, a Fae prince, and she doesn't understand why she's so drawn to him. Lorcan knows it shouldn't be possible for a witch to be his mate. Worse still...she's a mortal. Marking her would kill her. But how can he bear the pain of not making her his?
I knew I jinxed myself when I said the last book was my favourite in the series, because now THIS ONE is my favourite. A statement which totally won't change when I read the next instalment. *eye twitch* Pepper is my kind of witch. Through her, an important piece of the overarching plot puzzle was delivered and also she's just awesome. Let's not forget those enjoyable steamy scenes. ;)
This is a story of a witch who is desperate to be loved and a fae prince who wants to do the right thing! Pepper is a perfect mixture of sassy and spiciness. She never gives up and gives as good as she gets. Lorcan still feels that he has unfinished business. He doesn’t like witches but finds Peppers snarky attitude addicting. The scenes are well-written and the sexy scenes contain plenty of spice. Pepper and Lorcan have some flirty and feisty scenes - much to the detriment of Sledge’s poor hearing! This gives this book a quirkiness and lightness that made reading it feel like a few minutes instead a few hours. This is a fully immersive and enjoyable read!
I really enjoyed this book! I thought the plot was really great, the romance was full of tension and steamy, and I loved I could understand this book without reading the other books.
The character development of our MMC was excellent, and I really appreciated it! The magic system was excellent, uniquely developed and loved the whole witch not having their own power situation. The climax of the book was well written and honestly I’m now super invested.

It started out well I was hooked at first the premise was different than other fae books I've been reading. I enjoyed the characters the fl had more personality than what I've come to expect from this year's new release fls. She actually had a personality and wasn't a doormat. For that, a star alone was given. The fact she was a witch made it better. It is a good book I recommend. Quick read.

This book started off well. It introduced the two main characters, Pepper and Lorcan, and showed the reader a glimpse into their past traumas and emotional baggage. The pace of storytelling was relatively quick and there was adequate suspense, action and steamy scenes. I’ve not read the prior books thus I can safely say this can be read as a stand-alone. Finally, this book has a happy ending so no cliffhangers to be expected.

now when i read the blurb, i though there'd be more hostility between them in all honesty. but i'm glad my first impression was wrong, because the complicatedness of their dynamic and their own inner thoughts was way better. it was really heart warming to see both of them face their own fears, to let the bond between them spark instead of smothering it. excited for the next book!
Pepper, a witch with wolf-shifter blood, survives by creating potions for people who ask for them. When wolf-shifter Sledge calls her, Pepper returns to Crystal Creek to help her relative and meets the Fae prince Lorcan. This story has plenty of drama, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA.

Oh these two characters made for a fun read. I loved everything about Pepper and Lorcan and their story. They are an odd pair but they are totally made for each other. This paranormal series has so many different elements I can not get enough. Fae's Witch was engaging from start to finish. Another great book to add to the series.
Another sexy, sassy, kick-ass book from Helen. Lorcan and Pepper are awesome and I loved their exciting journey and epic drama to get to their HEA! Passion and spice galore!

The story continues with L and Ps Story. Find out more of what's going on and more mates found and some twists and turns. More things need to be uncovered and hopefully the next few books will show us. Spicy. Sad moments. Sassiness. Accepting. Good Story!
Book 5 of an amazing fantasy series that has captured me from the beginning! In this novel, we continue with the plot of seeking out the source of the decline in the Summer Court's Spring. The spring is dwindling, time is running out, and what happens when the fae lose their immortality? The fae royals are concerned they will all die when the spring finally sputters out and continue seeking answers on Earth. Following the MC Lorcan the youngest of the fae king's sons we get a brand new perspective. This book delves into history so significantly traumatic the characters turn away from happiness when it is presented to them. Battling instincts to face fate is no easy task as this MC learns that even those with the darkest pasts deserve to be loved. An enthralling story and tantalizingly spicy scenes this has become one of my favorite reads this year. 5 Stars would recommend this series!
