I enjoy using gemstone beads in my jewelry making so I thought this one be a good book to look through for ideas on better uses for the stones I have. I only found one design that I actually liked, so for that it wasn't a very useful book for me.
I did however enjoy the blurb at the beginning of each stone section that gave a history and background on the stone. It also lists folklore on the stone, the different shades it can form in, and where it comes from.
I liked the mix of crystal knowledge and beading how to. I am not sure how many necklace recipes I am actually going to do, but I still found enough in here to be helpful.
