This issue is Jason Todd's origin: the second Robin and the Red Hood. The writer, Lobdell, did a great job writing about Jason's traumatic childhood, ultimately resulting in how Batman first met him. Scott Lobdell, of course, also summarizes Death in the Family and briefly touches on how Jason came back from the grave, but doesn’t bother expanding on it. Reading this made me want to dig deeper into Jason's life because I think he's one of those anti-heroes with a great sad back story.

The only thing that I didn't like was the artwork. It was done by various artists which made some panels look so inconsistent.

i hate that joker orchestrated it all from the beginning like he made him into robin just to kill him. like story wise that's insane but it's just not canon to me in my head

and jasons story is so sadd :((
all thise memes about batman just taking him are literally true like jason didn't ask for all that 😭
