After catching her fiancé cheating, Natalie leaves the city she’s grown to love. Starting over in Hickory Valley, Georgia, a one-redlight town that makes for the perfect escape, or so she thought. Natalie makes quick friends with a local bartender and they both decide to make a pact- no men for a year. Natalie doubles down on her career until a handsome stranger strolls into the bar and threatens her resolve.
Teagan’s gold-digging ex is threatening to ruin him, his band and anything else she can get her greedy hands on. Hickory Valley looks like just the place to hide out while the press calms down. Nobody would think to look for him in this dust covered farm town.
With a cruel twist of fate, Natalie finds herself needing a husband, and fast! A fake marriage could fix both of their problems and what did they have to lose? Neither Teagan nor Natalie wants an actual relationship, it only has to look real to everyone else.
A string of events, tests their friendship and when emotions run high are they able to keep their feelings at bay? Or will they fall victim to the other’s charm and throw caution to the wind?

Hi my name is Katie, I’m an indie author who lives in the sunny state of Florida. When I’m not working or spending time with my family, I enjoy getting lost in a good book. My favorite hobby is gardening, whether it is edible or decorative. In my opinion one can never have too many flowers! I may have a slight addiction to creating things in Procreate and Canva.

A short and light read. It’s full of drama and the story progresses quickly. Although there are a few annoying hinderances that halt the progression but that’s part of the ongoing drama. Natalie and Teagan meet at a bar and the instant connection is super cute and sweet. I like the fact that Teagan respects Natalie’s boundaries due to her past. Slow burn, fake dating and friends to lovers trope gang is going to love this book. The drama and hinderances keep the readers on their toes. The book ends on a cliffhanger and I’m excited to read about the next couple.

Rockstar romance is my kryptonite! And this one delivered!

Natalie is running from a past from her ex. Teagan is wanting to get some space from his country rock life. Two broken souls finding themselves in the most unusual of places. But with his ex blackmailing him and Natalie proving to her boss she can put family first to take over the company, a fake marriage it is! What will it hurt? They’ll both get what they want.
Omg, the angst in this book! I was just routing for them the whole time. But with a celebrity husband and being thrust into a new celebrity world, even as feisty as Natalie is, she is still dealing with the aftermath of her ex.

This is the slowest burn I think I’ve ever read. But boy it was so worth the wait!

Thank you for the advanced read copy. I’m so excited to read the next couple.

It's 💓 this book. I couldn't put it down. They made Fake Vows, or was it? They both been hurt, but it only suppose to be temporary or was it? 💓 the ending, especially, with the extra little surprise. Got to read this Book!!!

Teagan Jameson is the lead singer of the Frayed Outlaws, an up and coming country band that is on their way up. Teagan had some issues he needed to clear up. These issues prompted him to move to a small town to get away from it all. Hickory Valley, Georgia was just the small town Teagan was looking for.

Natalie Morgan was trying to run from her life as well by working herself into the ground. She worked as an interior designer at Turnkey Design and a waitress at Duke’s Tavern. That’s where she and Teagan met. Teagan knew he wanted to get to know her better as soon as she saw the way she handled herself at the Tavern.

Both Natalie and Teagan needed to get married fast for different reasons. They made a pact to get married but only on paper. They became friends. The more time they spent together the closer they became. Will one of them break the pact when feelings get involved?

There is a lot going on around this couple. Will they be able to see through all of weeds? Both Natalie and Teagan have serious trust issues. Issues that might prevent them from seeing the love right in front of their faces. I really enjoyed this book and would love to hear more from the secondary characters. I loved the way Gabby was there for Natalie. Teagan also had some enlightening viewpoints from his band members and manager.

I enjoyed the story, it had a nice edge of humor that I appreciate. I thought it was well written and had some GREAT characters. Personally I would trade one or two of the "all the feelings" scenes for additional spicy scenes, but then the story would be very different. That's just me wanting all the spice :)

A Book With All the Feels!!!!

If I could give this story 10 stars I would, easily. This is a slow burn, high emotion friends to lovers/fake wedding story that pulled out all the stops. I love this author’s writing and this book made me love her even more. I laughed out loud, I cried real tears and I got angry at these characters and their circumstances and their reactions to them. Teagan is the best cinnamon roll character I think I have ever read and his has touch of alpha in him that makes him perfect in my eyes. Natalie is fiery, strong, independent and I also loved everything about her. Katie Richard . . . Bravo! I can’t wait to read more of what you have to offer.

Oh a good Fake Marriage

Lordy, this one has the feels. The rejections. The love. The nitty-gritty. The crazy exes. The hurt. Then that ending with the song. Ms. Richard, I am not a fan of slow burn, but you do it so good.

I am surprised how much I liked this book. It came in a monthly book subscription and is not my normal type of book, but I really did like it.

I did feel like the love story part at the end took too long to develop and then was wrapped up in a matter of pages, which left me wanting more.

All in all, this was enjoyable and a quick read cover to cover.

I loved this book! It was an intense but quick and enjoyable read; I was attracted to the fake marriage trope, but rockstar romance is newish for me. I’m screaming at the slow burn of Natalie and Teagan’s relationship, his character was completely different than I expected him to be considering the rockstar role, but he was caring and loving. I loved that Natalie had depth as a character too, and I love them together!

Absolutely can’t wait for Katie’s next book!

**Insert sentence about loving this book** I can’t fool y’all, I always love Katie Richard’s writing! Add this one to almost the top of that list now!
This story was ornery the whole time, mostly between the two MC. They would be talking about paint colors, their internal dialogue would crack me up. The pure spicy tension between them was steamyyyyy, they both just wanted each other the whole time.
All I could think about was how SHE felt watching her so-called “boyfriend” while he sang and played in a band. Soooo pool of drool worthy. And don’t get me started on the extended epilogue! It sure was the short sweet ending that I needed! Thank you Katie for sharing it with us! Until my next read

Fast forward to literally THE NEXT DAY! Y’all want to know what I did not notice at the end of this book….. the EXTRA CHAPTER!!! No spoilers but um yea. Go back and read that.

Let me tell you i absolutely loved this book.IT WAS
AMAZING.This is the first book I've read by Katie and it was absolutely fantastic. She writes her story and characters in such an interesting and relatable way and you get so easily attached to all of them. I loved watching Natalie and Teagan fall in love but also have an awesome friendship and I loved how Teagan did his best to prove his love to Natalie in every possible way, knowing what she went through. I'm so happy with this read. It didn't have a lot of spice but the spice it did have was a-mas-ing.💙

There are so many great things about this book yall. First it takes place in Georgia, my state that I live in and love, so that’s a huge plus! Also this is the story of Natalie and Teagan.

Natalie as found that her fiancée was cheating on her so she moves to a new city in GA. She works as a waitress in a local bar in town. Teagan is a famous musician who is moving to the city of Hickory Valley. He encounters Natalie in the bar one night and tries to help save her from a nasty situation. And then they reconnect as Teagan buys a house and needs the house to be redesigned. Enter Natalie again as she is an interior designer!

I love the writing style of this book. The author makes this story really come to life and easy for the readers to follow along with the reading.
As a MC, Natalie is easy to connect with in the story. She is a woman trying to leave something bad that happened to her and also she starts over in a small town. And Teagan is just trying to hide from the media and press while he is going through a very rough relationship with his ex. We also find out that Caroline, Natalie’s boss, has a condition on which she will leave Natalie the design business.

So what do they decide to do, a fake marriage! I love books that have the fake marriage troupe. The fake marriage solves both problems between Teagan and Natalie’s life. Teagan and Natalie have some great chemistry in this book too. I haven’t read this author previously but she has made a new fan of her work. And this was a great debut to the new Frayed Outlaws series!

I love this book so much. The end.

But seriously, we have a country singer who is trying to keep his identity a secret, a clueless, heartbroken interior decorator, and fake dating/marriage? What more can you ask for?

Teagan is trying to get away from his crazy ex and finding a quiet place he can live as an upcoming country star. He decides on a house, and as he's at the bar with the realtor, he sees Natalie. She's gorgeous and gets manhandled by a drunk older guy. He sticks up for her, finds out she's also an interior decorator that works there as a second job to stay busy, and ends up having her decorate his house to get to know her better. Natalie was engaged, but her fiance cheated on her with her best friend, so now she's just trying to heal and move on.

When she's offered the business she works for, things are starting to look up. The only stipulation is she has to get married. Teagan is also being threatened by his ex and is trying to avoid giving her a payout to make things go away. He asks Natalie to fake marry him to help them both out. Their only rule: don't fall in love.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5 (SLLLLOOOOOOWWWW burn)

Book Review: More Than Our Fake Vows by Katie Richard

So I’m kinda biased because I LOVE country music and country musicians… But wow this book was so so so good. I read it in less than a day! It’s got all the feels like all the feels! Both MC are damaged and living flight or fight through their traumas. But both seem to feel the draw towards each other and what starts out as a friendship that grows to a mutual help and bond to each other to fireworks 💥. Natalie is spunky, smart, strong, and adorable. Teagan is the broody hardened cowboy musician that you can’t help but melt for especially when he notices all the little things about Natalie and makes you swoon. All the boxes are checked… slow burn, miscommunication, doubt, betrayal, lust and longing, giving it all up for the other. And there is a perfect epilogue book you can download once you finish reading which I love because I always want a peek of their lives later on. Anyway I don’t want to spoil anything but this is such a great romantic novel and definitely worth reading!

More than Our Fake Vows by Katie Richard’s

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After her fiancé is caught cheating Natalie moves to a neighboring town to get away. She is an interior designer, but takes a job as a bartender/waitress to keep her mind off the break up. Natalie and her friend Gabriella decide to make a pact to be man free for a year, but this falls apart when she meets Teagan. He is hiding out in Hickory Valley to avoid his ex and the drama she caused. There is an instant attraction, but neither one feels they can act on it as they both been hurt by their prior relationship. When Teagan‘s ex spreads lies about him, and Natalie‘s boss says she needs to be married to inherit the business, they decide to get married to solve both their problems.

This book was amazing! I love small town romances, so that pulled me in right away. Teagan and Natalie are perfect for each other. Their banter had me laughing. The slow burn romance, and friendship between them is swoon worthy! It was well written, and had me entertained from beginning to end. I can’t wait to read Gabriella and Landon‘s story .

Teagan and Natalie don’t meet under the best of circumstances. Natalie is dealing with a guy trying to get a little handsy and Teagan is trying to get over an ex trying to blackmail him.
Natalie works two jobs so she is always busy and her second job is an interior designer. Teagan hires her to work on the house he has just bought.
While doing all of this Natalie learns that her boss wants to give her the business on one condition. She has to get married and spend time with her family.
They come to an agreement that it will be a fake marriage to get Teagan’s ex to back off and so Natalie can take over the business.
Things don’t go as planned and it takes some work and the help of a cheesy rom com but they do get their happy ending.

Teagan is a country music star. After his ex accuses him of something he would never do, he moves to a small town to escape and quickly becomes friends with Natalie, an interior designer and waitress. Natalie has pledged to not date men for a year after finding out her fiancé cheated on her.

Natalie soon finds out that her boss plans to leave the company to her - but only if she finds a husband in the next 6 months. And Teagan’s agent tells him that it will help his image if he finds someone to date. They quickly agree to a fake marriage, but soon find that they have real feelings for one another.

I really enjoyed this read overall. Teagan and Natalie had great chemistry. Natalie had such a fun personality, and the way Teagan would do absolutely anything for Natalie is so endearing. I didn’t love Natalie’s boss demanding that she get married to get the business. She clearly didn’t feel ready to even date at that point, so forcing her to find a man to date AND marry within 6 months was a yuck factor for me. Fortunately, once I got past that part, the rest was really adorable.

I have never once fallen in love with a country music star, until now. Move over every dude from a rock band I've ever set my sights on because Teagan Jameson has stolen my heart. 😍

This book was so incredibly sweet. As I said, I am absolutely over the moon for Teagan 🥰. I also, loved Natalie from the very beginning. She is sharp and witty and their friendship/banter that develops is probably one of my favorite things about this read.

As much as I adore the two main characters, the side characters also work their way into your hearts. I can't wait to read Landon's story and I really hope that Thomas is getting one too.

Okay first of all; whatttt the book ends on a cliffhanger and there’s going to be more about Gabby (yayyyy) excited to read their part now. I really hope the next part comes out soon and I wouldn’t have to wait for too long!!!

Okay let’s talk about Teagan first. What a gentleman he is and he respects Natalie boundaries and gives value to her one year no dating thing. I like how he controls his emotions and prioritises Nat’s emotions.

Okay Nat on the other hand is confident and independent. And I love how she shows her emotions instead of just controlling them like cliche female leads in most of the love stories.

The writing style is simple and intelligible. The storyline is full of dramatic scenes but the wait is worth it! Im looking forward to the next couple/instalment (yipieee)

Ok but not my favorite. The story seemed… forced. Like she was saying what the character should say to get the story right but the actions were not put smoothly into the storyline. And I didn’t like the dragged out back and forth of “we shouldn’t-but I want to” when they really just needed to have a conversation and give into their mutual feelings. The drama was too much and he shouldn’t have given into his ex in the end -that was his whole basis for the marriage, to avoid paying her - and he ended up paying double (and never told his wife about it).

This was such a perfect comfort read for me, as me being a hopeless romantic.

Teagan and Natalie have both been really hurt by their past relationships and are unwilling to trust again, both for different reasons needing to get married and they decide to fake it!

I loved this story. I couldn't stop reading once I started, I was hooked.

There was very little spice but so much tension. Which was perfection for this story.

It was beautifully written, capturing all the emotions brilliantly.
It had fantastic characters, with lots of sassy banter.
Perfect read for any romance lover.

More than our fake vows

Teagan is a rock star looking for a home that is away from the limelight. He finds himself in a little bar, and is instantly attracted to the bartender.

Natalie is a bartender and an interior designer. She exudes a mysterious aura and Teagan feels impelled to find out her secrets. When her boss is terminally ill and proposes an agreement in which she will give Natalie her company if she marries, she panics.

When Teagan’s ex starts claiming false allegations against him, he knows he has to do something. Then he gets the idea for a fake marriage so that Natalie can get her business and he can get his ex to go away. That is until they start falling for each other.

Okay first let’s talk about the cover 😍 it’s so pretty that I instantly signed up for this tour lol. But then I must tell you that this book is very easy to read. The author hops right into Natalie and Teagan’s relationship. They both instantly form this bond where they start to fall in love despite their rule to not fall in love. They even stage a fake wedding but Theo and Harper keep bugging them from their pasts. They both stick together and finally decide to make it real. That’s the point where they get stronger! I love the storyline; it’s a light read that you can pick up if you’re in a reading slump. Highly recommended!!

Thanks moonlight book tours and Katie for adding me on this book tour. This one really lived up to my expectations because normally such genres have typical well settled male mc and a very clumsy stupid female mc. But here both mc are well established and settled. They don’t need each other’s wealth or money. They just want love but that’s the only rule they gotta follow. Teagan’s lyrics for Natalie really won the show! Nicely written and excellent. And I would definitely like to read more of Katie’s work.

Thank you Moonlight Book Tours for making me a part of this book tour.
I didn’t have much high expectations for this book but this one turned out great.
It was overall a happy read. No doubt there were ups and downs but it gave good vibes overall.
I’m not much of a fan of spice/intimate scenes so those kind of parts were too much for me and made me gag.
I loved the writing style and easy flow of the story.
I definitely and highly recommend it.

Finally another book made it to my 5 stars list. I agree that every book has some flaws even by the best selling authors as well but we gotta focus on the good parts and ignore the minor ones unless the errors are too prominent or big. I appreciate the non-cliche plot and characters which are a major turn off for me but this book raised my standards. Now let’s see what kind of a couple Gabby and Landon are because Natalie and Teagan passed the test ;)

Couldn’t put it down once I started reading it.. literally devoured the whole thing.. Teagan is a country rockstar and Natalie is a well settled designer and a bartender.. both click right away the moment they see each other and their story is beautiful.. it doesn’t have so many hinderances but the ones that were there weren’t annoying or anything.. rather I enjoyed everything and it was an easy five star read

This was a super cute and fast read. There's fake dating/marriage, a country star *swoon*, a tough but vulnerable FMC, and a lot of sexual tension. Though the actual spice is a massive slow burn. I was feeling Natalie's frustration by the end of the book, even if Teagan had good reason for waiting.

There were some grammatical/editing errors, but nothing that took away from the book. Plus, I don't usually mind those kind of errors in indie books. I'm just glad indie authors are finding ways to get their books out into the world!

If you're looking for a quick and easy romance read, then More Than Our Fake Vows is one you definitely want to add to your TBR!
