Rate this book
The secret of the "Homecoming Baby" is about to be revealed!

Patrick Torrance is shocked to discover he's adopted. But that's nothing compared to what he feels when he finds out the details of his birth. He's Enchantment's so-called Homecoming Baby - born and abandoned in the girls' room during a high school dance. All the folks in town think they know who his parents are, but he's determined to find out the truth.

But uncovering the truth is going to mean using some of Enchantment's finest residents. And once he gets to know some of them, especially Celia Brice, he begins to wonder just how much it's going to cost him to get the answers he wants.

Since the day Harlequin bought her first novel, Kathleen has published more than 30 titles with them- everything from hot, sexy contemporaries to dark, brooding suspense. Read in more than 30 countries and 29 languages, she's a five-time finalist for the prestigious RWA RITA Award, a winner of the Maggie Award, and a three-time finalist for Romantic Times' Reviewer's Choice.

Kathleen comes from a family of writers, poets, and journalists- though she may be the one shameless romantic in the bunch. A true Cancer, she values home and family above everything and wouldn't dream of ditching a single friend, memory, gift, or love letter. Consequently, her office is a mess, full of books, colored cut glass, photo albums, Madame Alexander dolls, and a cockatiel who whistles the theme from "The X Files." She is addicted to Mozart and Elvis, Dancing With the Stars, Dorothy Dunnett novels, and sugar-free Popsicles.

CAPRICHO DEL DESTINO - KATHLEEN O´BRIEN
The homecoming baby

Quite a good story....a baby boy is born and left on the floor of the highschool giris' bathroom. This boy, Patrick was abused terribly by his adopted father....many burns, cuts, broken bones, ribs, etc.

Now he wants to find his mother to see what kind of horrible woman could leave a baby on the cold floor of a bathroom....so he comes to Enchantment, NM and meets Celia.

#5 in the birth place series (super romance) read 8/2018

This one is really slow. I knew what had happened long before the characters admitted what was going on.
