I absolutely loved Deacon & Shelby's heartachingly beautiful, sweet, caring, loving, swoony story!!!

Every time I read another book by Ginny Sterling, I think that this is my favorite, then she writes another one that I love even more. Ginny Sterling has the touch for a sweet, swoony and clean romance. This particular story was very bittersweet because both main characters were dealing with some tough decisions and issues.
Deacon (call sign - Cajun) only ever wanted to fly planes. His life was the military, but a phone call has changed his views on what is important in his life.
Dr. Shelby Bow is a ob/gyn who loves being a doctor in a small town where she has made friends with her community. A phone call from her sister sends her to Sweet Bloom where she has some decisions to make as well.
If you know anything about the flyboys, you know there is always a matchmaker at work. Unbeknownst to Deacon, his friends have offered his services to fly Dr. Bow to Sweet Bloom where he is headed as well. Being on a small plane for 3 hours with a complete stranger is not what he had in mind, but he is too polite to refuse.
Once they get to Sweet Bloom they both have some heavy decisions to make. This romance will blossom in Sweet Bloom, but there will be hurdles along the way. I loved both main characters. They each had a big heart, but my absolute favorite character was Beau. Beau is Deacon's son. This five year old kid was full of life and wise beyond his years. Deacon and Shelby realize that healing is sometimes better accomplished when we allow others to help us through our difficult transitions. Once again Ginny Sterling has written a heartfelt romance that will warm you up on a cold day and leave you with a smile on your face. This book is a part of a series with different authors contributing their individual stories. The series is known as Love in Sweet Bloom. It seems love is in full bloom in this story. Grab a cup of coffee, a blanket and find a comfy seat so you can fly through the pages like I did.

A Surprising Move
At first I wondered about the beginning location, how was Cajun going to wind up in Sweet Blossom. I didn't want him injured.
The story took on it's own life and came alive.
I give thanks to God that there are those compassionate people that come into our lives and become our friends. To see how we fit in with others and bonds are built.
I lost my husband at a young age and my girls and their husbands ever let me be the 3rd wheel or 5th wheels.
Sharing the trials of losing spouses, children and even one or more of the girls, still had that support.
There are times we get so secure in our little life, it's A surprise Move when we take a risk and it turns out like in our dreams and all the fears and worries work for the good.
When, we can say that God had a plan, even with a risk involved.
Thank you for Beau, having 3 boys those questions and actions weren't totally unexpected but what joy when your kids are just kids. Embarrassing but so worth that moment in our memories.
Here's to the next stories. Thank you.

This is a dual pov, closed door romance that intersects with other series but I believe is easily a stand alone novel. Cajun and Shelby’s story is so hard. There is a lot of family heartache for both of them in different ways at the beginning of the book. BUT (and that’s a big BUT) the flyboys (another amazing series from Ginny Sterling) are great at match making. They know the perfect moments to pull two individuals together and that is exactly what we see in this book.
I love seeing these tough military men melt for their significant other but truly the star of the show was Shelby’s relationship with Cajuns son, Beau. I feel like she really helped pull not only Canjun out of his grief but also Beau. And I can’t lie, imagining Beau at the wishing well doing his little dance made my mama heart so happy.

This sweet story was a fantastic read! Deacon loves being in the military as an Air Force pilot but suddenly has to make a heartbreaking decision regarding his son that brings him back to the States. What will he choose? Shelby is a great OB/GYN doctor in a Texas town and loves her work. However, her sister is a mess, and she needs to make an emergency decision to help her. When she takes a flight with Deacon to get to her sister, sparks will fly and perhaps change both of their lives. Deacon's son, Beau, was such a firecracker! He really livens up this story! There are definitely some laugh out loud moments and a few sweet & tender ones too. Shelby's sister is a great addition also. I really enjoyed this book!

This sweet story in the Sweet Bloom series is by Ginny Sterling.
Be aware this has the death of the mother of a young boy and drug addiction in another character, but as always Ginny handles it soooo well!
Cajun is in the Air Force stationed in Afghanistan when he is notified that his ex has died and he needs to go home to take care of his five year old son.
Shelby is a doctor with a sister that needs help rehabbing from drugs. Both of them need to go to the same town, so the women at Flyboys arrange for them to fly down together in a small plane.
As their friendship grows she helps him heal and she comes to care for him and his sweet little boy.

So excited for this transition book where Flyboys set up another base in Sweet Bloom Texas ( and Wyoming?). This is vintage Ginny as we get another airman from Ghazni having to unexpectedly cycle to Texas and reinvent his life, but in Western Texas after a stopover in Yonder to meet up with his “brothers “. Both Shelby and Cajun are dealing with life’s hard realities when they meet and in no position for a relationship, but their hearts don’t get the message. The hard realities are not glossed over, but also don’t take over the story, as they are resolved. Beau, Cajun’s son is a total firecracker and “the conversation “ will have you giggling and snort-laughing. I’m excited for a new town to populate with Flyboys.

A sweet, humorous romance
This author is a very good story teller. She gave her characters a great sense of humor. The boy Beau is adorable, but I really didn't care for the 'bite the pants off' scene. Deacon's beginning of a simple explanation turned a little more sexual than I liked. I think a 5 yr old is way too young to know how babies are made, even though some kindergarteners here in a small Arkansas school have been exposed to too much & know too much.
The wedding scene was adorable as well..except for Shelby's comment about biting the pants off.
I loved a call sign being given to Beau. I don't know if that's normal, but I think it's very sweet.
Overall the book was very enjoyable.

It is a sweet story about two people who are put together while going to Sweet Bloom to be their for family members - Cajun for his son and Shelby for her sister. The romance was too fast paced for me and I didn't personally connect with the characters. That being said, it is well written, and flows nicely. The characters are well-rounded and realistic. The author does a lovely job with capturing the dilemma of answering children's questions and all the humor and embarrassment that comes with it. If you enjoy ready about a single dad meeting that someone special or just like a 'love at first sight' romance then this is the book for you.

I love the flyboys and to have them come to Sweet Bloom is just icing on the cake. Tragedy calls Deacon/Cajun back to Sweet Bloom. When he finds himself suddenly responsible for his 5 year old son, he steps up and changes his life. Dr. Clara Bow has a growing OB/GYN practice in Tyler, Texas, but doesn’t hesitate when her sister calls asking for help. Thrown together out of necessity, they are completely drawn to each other. As I expect from this author, we get a sweet romance, humor, and a few twists. I look forward to finding out what will come next.

What a wonderful, beautiful story. Deacon (Cajun) is remarkable with his son. Shelby has a caring heart towards everyone. They make a great couple and determine to conquer any obstacles together. I absolutely love Beau. He is such a delightful child. This story captured my interest from the very beginning and continued throughout. I can’t wait to read Lena’s story.

A Wish for the Single Dad Flyboy is a super fantastic, clean, inspirational romance! The characters are awesome - especially Beau, Cajun's son. He is quite the scene stealer. Both Shelby and Cajun have hard decisions to make regarding their family members, but the story is really quite upbeat. This well written book had all my attention from the beginning and I did not put it down until I reached the end. If you are a lover of clean romance, do not skip this book!

I loved this romance between Cajun and Shelby in Sweet Bloom, Texas. The characters are interesting especially Cajun's son, Beau. I can imagine what his laugh sounds like and think his way of making a wish at the wishing well was so cute. I highly recommend this book as a clean romance that will brighten your day. I am happy that I made this purchase.

Loved this addition to the Flyboys & Healing Hearts world🤎 Shelby has been the OB for a lot of our moms so it was nice to see her get a happily ever after. Deacon ‘Cajun’ is suddenly a single dad and his life is upended. Love how those Flyboys surround him and be that support he needs. Cajun & Shelby & Beau make the cutest family🥰 and I can’t wait until we get Lena’s story next year!

Wishes
So good! The development of Flyboys and Sweet Bloom just gets better with every book. You feel vested in the characters and flip pages wanting the smiles,wishes and events that intertwine. It's unavoidable to read this book and not love it. I laughed so hard at Beau and could picture the scenes. Grab it and prepare .

A truly wonderful read. The sassy Dr.and Cajun are a fun pair with their words and deeds. The highlight of the whole read the adorable little boy who steals hearts and you want to hug him. Plus toss in some old friends in the flyboys...Harley,Hunter,Glory and several others.

Great story
A story full of Beau's humor, questions & explanations. The scene where Deacon makes Beau do a redo of walking into a home as a guest was so sweet. Yes, we need to do that sometimes as parents.

Love Blooms when you least expect it
I absolutely love Ginny Sterling's writing because she drawls you in immediately and then ties you on an emotional roller coaster ride. The loss of a parent, a life time dream , then the heart what it wants. You will love Dr. Bow and Cajuns story.

Wonderful
I absolutely love this series. I am amazed by how all of you manage to intersect and cross reference several series and characters. It makes it so much more interesting and makes for good reading. Especially as I as m a reader who waits until all books in a series comes out and then I read it. Excellent!!!

The author outdone herself on this book. It was my favorite and kept me in stitches, as the old saying goes. Beau as a delight and Deacon is an excellent father considering the circumstances. Shelby has some decisions to make about her and her sister Lena. HEA.

A really fantastic story
Wow I loved reading this book. The characters were perfect for each other and so much fun to read about. This series has been great. The author added just the right amount of everything throughout the story.

Deacon and Shelby both have their lives figured out until curve balls are thrown their way by life. Good friends and lots of support help them as they move forward. Beau is such a ball of energy and certainly is observant.

Humorous, but serious!
Great story. Started out serious and sad. Further into the story it became humorous. Of course, it ends in happily ever after! I highly recommend this book and author. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
