Sweet, old fashioned Christmas romance
4 stars

This was a short and sweet festive tale with opposites attracting in city girl, Anna, and outdoorsy, country boy, Sam. Both characters were relatable, fun and had some lovely teasing banter. Unlike other of Vicki Lewis Thompson's books, this one was not heavy on the sex and raunchiness. There was sex but it was more of a sweet, slow-burning kind of chemistry between Anna and Sam.

The Christmas theme ran throughout but was subtle enough to make you think of a good, old-fashioned and rustic Christmas time. The snowy, small town was perfect and made me want to visit there!

My only problem was that I felt the ending (despite being the traditional happily ever after) could have been written a little better so as to wrap up all the loose ends.

Having said that, it's still a fun, festive and really enjoyable, quick read for the dark cold nights in the run up to Christmas. 4 stars.

A quick light read with some interesting characters. I don't know what else I would expect from this book but maybe the romance was "too" easy. The characters were instantly in love with each other and to me they didn't "fall" in love. The secondary characters and the tree cutting was an awesome addition to the book. I would recommend this one.

A sexy read that's funny and full of heart. A city woman wants to hide away in the country on weekends. But the town cronies and a sexy Christmas tree farmer won't let her. When the town busybody sets out to create a fake Christmas celebration for TV, crazy comes to town.

So, I was looking through books I moved from my grandmother's house. I thought this was a sweet 1980s Christmas romance. Well, it's more of a naked romance with the guy you just met kind of holiday.

Vicki Lewis Thompson never disappoints, and this warm holiday stand alone book put me in the holiday spirit. Her genuine main characters mix with hilarious, over the top secondary characters to create a unique style that is was very enjoyable to read.

Definitely love bringing this out for the holiday every year - think this was my first Christmas themed romance ever, as a matter of fact... been a while, so not too sure. LOL

It was a cute light weight read I took on 2 weeks before Christmas. It delighted me!
