Grede's dirty dealings in Ploroque City are taken care of thanks to Kanata and his crew. It turns out everything was orchestrated by the Unseen Hand of the Gods and their leader, King Veranta, the Ruler of the World, and they're not too happy about Kanata's meddling. With the Hand's grasping digits in hot pursuit, Kanata tries to pull information out of the obstinate dragon Ramiel—only for King Veranta to show up at the worst possible moment! Meanwhile, Lunaère is keeping close tabs on the gang with her ill-gotten Tiamat's Eye. Good luck getting out of this one, Kanata!
The book continues from the previous one and supposedly the clash between the MC party and the Hand of Gods would take place. But instead of a well developed plot. It seem the author was given two volumes to resolve this story. This lead to a letdown clash between the characters, really disappointing. Then, what could have been a cool quest to retrieve the higher beings pawns was also resolved in a boring and disappointing way. The final clash with was supposed to be one of the strongest enemies that Kanata and Lunaere has faced so far, end up in an uninspiring and boring battle. The writing is quite good, but the translation and editing is poor, with some grammar mistakes that makes hard to follow some conversations. The rest of characters are left behind, and finally Lunaere takes a central stage, also her development is almost null. Well, the next volume seems to be the last in this serie.
