Linda Turner

Born in San Antonio, Texas, Linda Turner and her identical twin sister, Brenda, were known throughout the neighborhood in which they grew up simply as "Twin."

No one except their parents and their older brother could tell them apart. They dressed alike, wore their hair alike, and even had the same glasses, so it wasn’t surprising that they were stared at everywhere they went.

Consequently, when Linda announced at the age of 25 that she was going to start writing romance novels, she wasn’t surprised when Brenda said, "I don’t care how famous your name gets, just make sure your face doesn’t become recognizable!"

Needless to say, Linda’s face isn’t known in every household in the U.S. — yet. Recently, she spent six weeks taking screenwriting classes at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, and she’s made no secret of the fact that she plans to write and — hopefully — sell a screenplay in the new millennium.

Slightly different amnesia set up. The mystery element was different and a bit creepy. The romance was okay. It was mostly believable and the resolution made sense. I think maybe the angst factor wasn't as great as it could have been. Perhaps this storyline really needed a longer romantic suspense treatment. There was one thing that the author did that was a bit of a cop out I thought I feel like there might be other books with other characters that were secondary in this one. Might or might not look them up.

I rediscovered this book in my own collection. The book is copyrighted 1997 and the inside cover and the pages are pretty yellow. I wouldn't be surprised if I haven't read it since then.

For a long time now I've been getting my books from the library and at one point I had 35 books out on my library card. I now have a reasonable number of 8 and have turned my attention to the surprising amount of unread books I have in my own collection. This is one of them. I must have read it ages ago and felt it was good enough to hold onto and read again later.

The premise was a little more interesting than the average romance, woman returns home to the husband she left two months earlier but is pregnant and has amnesia so doesn't know who the daddy is.

The characters were okay. At least they weren't unlikeable, annoying, etc.

My final decision is that the book was only worth reading to satisfy my curiosity. I won't read this book again and will be taking it out of my collection. I don't recommend you buy it, just borrow it from the library. I only recommend it to you if you need to kill time waiting for something.

It was alright but I didn't get too into it. I found myself having to put it down and walk away. Like some older harlequin type novels, it didn't have me enthralled with it.
