My only goal in life was to follow in my father’s footsteps and become an Army Ranger. When I made rank, I finally felt complete. I served my country for a decade until I damn near lost my leg on that last mission.

Now I’m struggling my way through physical therapy with the cheeriest, bubbliest, curviest woman I’ve ever met. I don’t understand how Brielle can smile when the world is so cruel and unfair. She’s probably just too young to have experienced any real pain. Give it a few years and her light will dim.

The thing is, I don’t think I truly want her to become cynical like me. I crave her light. Her sweetness. Her unique perspective on life.

When I discover that life isn’t so perfect for my sunshiney physical therapist, my protective instinct kicks in and I jump into action. Now that I’ve got Brielle so close, I’m not sure I can let her go…

At least I'm done with the series. 🤷‍♀️ Again not bad for a quick read.

PS. I don't like the fact that all the MMCs are a decade or more older than the FMCs. And of course, all the women are V-card holders. 🙄😑 It doesn't matter that the guys are celibate; I still don't like the imbalance. 🤧

I was waiting for these two!! Poor El he's been though alot in his life now surgeries and physical therapy he can't do his what his father did now hes hesitant to do what his friends are doing and this is were he meets Briella his 3rd therapist and like always there is a rocky start but Brie is sunshine and gumdrops but behind those closed doors she dealing with her own demons aka her drunk mother. And that's what pushes her into El arms more I love that they healed eachother and the spice for me was low but it was good spice.

I'm glad we wrapped this series. I can't wait for what's next by Cameron

I expected more. But I'm disappointed. The writer copied half of the actions from the previous three parts. One part was even copied the exact word for the word. It's like she had no idea what to write, so she made a stupid decision to copy what was already written to make the last part of the series.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Elliot mets Brielle when he goes for physical therapy. Elliot is the last to arrive in the mountains, he was injured overseas when a grenade went off. Elliot's leg was injured but still has use of it, so now he needs physical therapy. Brielle is a physical therapist and when she gets Elliot's chart she realizes he's a hard patient to please, but she's determined to help him. After his therapy appointment where Brielle changes some of his stretches, she tells him he needs to do them three times a day instead of just the one. When Elliot comes back for his next appointment Brielle wants to know what progress he's made, so she gets him up on the table. When Elliot tries to do his stretches she suggest some things for him to do to help. Elliot goes home and thinks about Brielle all night long, he can't sleep because he is thinking about her. Elliot heads to the VA hospital to go see Brielle but he finds out that she was sleeping in her office overnight. Brielle's mother kicked her out of the house, her mother is addict. Brielle overheard her mother and her dealer having sex when she went to watch a movie the dealer came up next to her and offered her some of the same. Elliot pulls her to him and when she protest because of his leg he tells Brielle he's fine. Elliot tells her she can stay with him, when she protest he tells her it's her best option. Brielle kisses Elliot, then he pleasures her. Brielle wakes up late on a Saturday morning and is surprised she's slept so late. Elliot warms up breakfast for her, and they talk about the time he served. Elliot takes Brielle back to bed, pleasures her then makes love to her. Then Elliot takes her on a tour of the community they are building. The next day Brielle wakes up Elliot by pleasures him, then they make love. After Elliot drops Brielle off at work, he comes back and finds Wilder Finding Love standing outside. Elliot knows it's time he needs to talk to Wilder, after Brielle and him talked. Elliot explains to Wilder it wasn't his fault for what happened to him and he doesn't want his friend to take the blame. Elliot and Wilder hash it out and are still friends. Later when Elliot goes to pick up Brielle from work she doesn't come out, so he goes in to find she wasn't at work, she called in sick. Picking up his phone Elliot realizes he doesn't have her number but he knows where her mother lives. When Brielle got to work her mother was waiting for her, she belittled her. Brielle then went with her mother only to have her boyfriend/drug dealer knock her over the head and tie her up. Brielle's mother's boyfriend is trying to get her PIN numbers for her bank account, but she tells him she has to use the restroom. When Brielle goes into the bathroom she tries to come up with an escape plan. Before she leaves the bathroom she hears someone pounding on the door. When Brielle comes out she finds it's Elliot who rushes in to save her. Elliot comes in and when her mother's drug dealer/boyfirend asks him what he's doing Elliot punches him out. Elliot takes Brielle out of the house and puts her in his truck. Elliot goes back inside to have a few words with Brielle's mother and drug dealer/boyfriend telling them to get out of town. Elliot takes Brielle back home to his cabin where he helps her shower, then they make love. Elliot tells her he loves her and Brielle tells him she loves him. Elliot is completely satisfied for the first time in his life, he can't wait for what the future holds. Ten years later, they have an eight year old son Charlie and a five year old daughter Rachel, two cats and two dogs. Elliot and Brielle have endured a lot before they met and together they've done an immense amount of therapy and healing from their past. It was all worth the pain and heartache to get to their perfect moment of pure joy.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

3.5/5 stars

Elliot is the last of the ex Army Ranger group under Wilder that has now moved to the old abandoned town Wilder bought. Elliot was injured the worst in the ambush and is still going to physical therapy. He’s managed to run off a few of the therapist, his newest therapist is Brielle, she’s upbeat and bubbly, and very beautiful. He is instantly in love but what would she want with a very grumpy, belligerent, and injured guy like him. To combat his feelings he is even more belligerent towards her.
Brielle has a tough home life, her mother is an alcoholic and has started using drugs. She verbally abuses Brielle, who accepts it and tries to take care of her.
She is upbeat and happy with her patients. She tries to put Elliot at ease as soon as she meets him. She adjusts his exercises so he starts feeling better and having less pain. He still fights her and even says some not so nice things to her, which he does feel bad about.
One day after therapy he sees she having car trouble, he offers her a ride home. There he sees how terrible her mom treats her and how sad she looks.
He goes to apologize to her and he sees that she had spent the night in her office. He asks her what happened. She tells him her mom’s dealer is having sex with her mom for pills and he offered her the same deal. So she ran out of the house and got an Uber to the office. While he comforts her they kiss and he ends up orally satisfying her. (He is still her patient for a few more visits). I wish they had waited to start their relationship after his therapy was over or she handed him off to another therapist.
He takes her home to his place later that night. Sexy times at his house, she’s a virgin, he’s been celibate a while. Things are going well. On Monday he drops her off at the office for work and tells her he’ll pick her up in the evening. When she does not come out of the office at quitting time he heads inside. The receptionist tells him she left early cause she didn’t feel good. He can’t call her because he never got her cell number so he heads to her house.
Brielle’s mom was waiting for her in her office when she got there. She convinces her to come home, which is surprising she goes, her mother calls her all kinds of mean names. At the house the dealer is waiting and her mom and him physically assault her to get her ATM PIN number.
Elliot barges on punches the dealer and threatens them both and takes Brielle away.
He takes her back to his place, they talk and I loves you are said with more sexy times. Epilogue with two kids.
Also Brielle helped Elliot with his feelings towards Wilder. Wilder was the team leader and he feels responsible for Elliot’s injuries. Elliot doesn’t blame Wilder but doesn’t know how to express his gratitude for Wilder saving his life. They finally talk and he thanks Wilder for everything he did to save his life.
I wondered why he didnt call the cops on the drug dealer and mom? He should have had them arrested.
I read the series in order over a couple of days so I noticed the sex scenes were very similar, but if you read them spaced out over time you may not notice it.

"...it was love at first grunt."

Healing Love is the fourth book in the Love on the mountain series and we finally get Elliot's story. Elliot is the last of the group to move to the mountain, as he was in the hospital and rehab after his leg injury from "that day" which changed everything for the unit. Elliot is still needing weekly physical therapy from the local VA offices but he is so big, grumpy, and in a bad mood that he has already gone through two PT's. So this appointment will be a make or break for him as he is meets the new PT, Brielle. Brielle is a curvy young woman who is always smiling and appears to be in a good mood. But what no one sees is just what she has been dealing with in her life, and how it affects her. Both Brielle and Elliot are dealing with personally unpleasant situations that are not of their own making. But they deal with the situations in different ways. So when Elliot starts to discover just what has been happening all of his protective instincts kick into overdrive and he just wants to make sure Brielle is safe and protected. These two are one bundle of sexual energy that finds some interesting outlets, and in interesting places. But there is still a dangerous situation which Brielle finds herself in which Elliot will have to save her from.
I loved this book and the series. Brielle and Elliot make an interesting couple as they find their way to each other and the future that neither thought they would have. Along the way there are a number of things happening which add interest and excitement to the story.

Captivating addition to wonderful series, scenario is written wonderfully and the plot will hold you
Elliot is a man that has been tortured by demons that are a symptom of his self-imposed guilt which of course is not true however, as the frustration and the anger within him has grown to such an immense size that at times he can barely breath.
He fears that he is the only one that is suffering from this and is but life and people can suddenly bring to the fore factors that showed him that he was not the only one with feeling such as these and how he could learn to deal with them.
Brielle had initially tried to smother them both by suggesting that all was sweetness and light and the exacerbated the problem. Facing the problem head on was what would bring him solace and also them both happiness and peace which was something deserved.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Elliot is the fourth member of an Army Rangers squad that was honorably discharged. He’s also the only member who needed surgeries and physical therapy for a damaged leg. other he won’t be following in his father’s footsteps as career military, Elliott has been a grumpy recluse that pushes his friends away. However, he is anxious to join them in their remodeled abandoned mining town where they’ve each built their homes and found love, he just needs to finish physical therapy. Brielle is Elliott’s 3rd therapist and she is sunshine and rainbows. The effect Brielle has on Elliott is dumbfounding, especially to Elliott. Brielle maybe be all sunshine and rainbows on the outside, but inside she is dealing with a verbally abusive mother with alcoholism. Learning her mother has a drug dealer is what pushes her into Elliott's arms. Together these two find each other and begin to heal each others wounds. Together they join his friends and begin their happily ever after.

First off I have to say I really like the whole series and this book fit perfectly. The series couldn't have had a better final book.
Elliot is the perfect Mr. Grumpy and Brielle is the perfect Ms. Sunshine. They both have heartache and pain in their lives but they are opposite in how they handle it.... That's why when they meet for the first time, and Brielle didn't back down from Elliot, I knew it was going to be an interesting story and it definitely was.. Elliot just pulled at my heart strings from the start and then I felt the same way about Brielle when I read about her home life. The whole time I was reading all I could think was, Can two broken souls heal each other or will it end in tragedy??
Beside the grumpy\sunshine trope there's also wounded hero, curvy girl, "broken" MMC and more..

Love at first grunt?

Ah! Elliot is so tortured by his demons, his guilt, his embarrassment, that the frustration and anger builds until, like a vice, his lungs seize, locking the words and humanity inside and leaving him to lash out like a wounded animal. He thinks he is the only one suffering, the only one with demons, but life has a way of showing you just how wrong you can be. Whilst Elliot lashes out to cover his demons, Brielle tries to smother them in sunshine and sweetness...neither is effective.
I love that Elliot finally finds a reason to push himself to heal, a reason to open his eyes and his heart to the world around him. Their journey is an emotional one, but a beautiful and heartwarming one too. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

He took the worst of the explosion that ended their careers, so it's taking him longer to get to the old mining town. Once he does and gets set up with the VA, he goes through a few physical therapists before Brielle. She doesn't take his gruff nature to heart. She has her own issues. And when she doesn't show up after the end of her shift, Elliot goes looking for her. Will he find her in time?

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was a fantastic grumpy sunshine romance. It was a short, well written story with a great pace. It was the fourth book in the series but each book can be read as a standalone. It was my favorite of the series, Elliot was such a great character and I really felt his pain and then to have him paired with Brielle, who at first glance just seemed so bubbly but really had her own hidden pains, was just so perfect. I just loved the story.

Heartfelt Book, Excellent Series

I love a Grumpy Hero and Elliot excels at grumpiness. He has good reason to be as his life’s work was cruelly taken from him, leaving both physical and mental pain. It takes a tough-as-nails physical therapist (his third, having scared away the previous ones) to cut through the BS.

Brielle has her own hidden demons, her picture perfect life being an illusion.

The sparks and the heat fly between these two. It’s delicious!

cute story but repetitive

I liked the storyline a lot in this book however the sex scene was an exact copy of one of the earlier books in the series. Word for word except for the names of the characters.

Think I would have given books 2, 3 & 4 in the series higher scores but all three had FMC who had terrible people just tra-la-la out of their lives with no consequences. Not even a mention in the epilogues.
