When my billionaire boss turns from demanding to irresistible… I’ve always been the smart, reliable one, more focused on my career than romance. Until a surprise layover, one room, one bed, and a stolen night together. Now Zachary is more than just my boss; he’s the silver fox who’s awakened my desires. Can I navigate this thrilling secret without losing my heart?
He’s swirling his bourbon in his glass in chapter three but says he doesn’t drink and has been sober for seven years a couple chapters later? Many plot inconsistencies. Not very well written. Story - and even the sexy scenes - feel rushed. However, it was a quick read.
Trigger Warnings include: violence in the workplace
Ashley has been working side by side with Zachary for 4 years. He’s cold, demanding, ruthless. He’s a pro at the icy glare. And while she was a lot nicer, she definitely understood his work ethics. It was something they shared. When they’re left stranded overnight together, Zachary is introduced to a very different side of Ashley. And even more surprisingly, he didn’t mind her company! What WAS surprising was when he performed a disappearing act and then avoided her. Leaving her to feel used. But she lets the anger simmer. Just when she’s about to let it boil over, she’s surprised by Zachary once again. And then again and again. Zachary Haywood is NOT the man she thought he was. He didn’t have an icy heart, he just an icy protective barrier.

The book as a whole was enjoyable enough. However, the author would have benefited from beta readers or proofreading due to the inconsistencies that slipped in:
- Zachary is drinking bourbon in an earlier chapter but declares he does not drink and has been sober for the past seven years. - Ashley suddenly has green eyes in one paragraph when her eyes are actually blue.
I usually don’t mind small errors in books but the drinking issue for Zachary is actually important.
Their path to happiness begins with a business trip that led to them sharing a room and getting up close and personal with each other. As they spent more time together their relationship blossomed but gossip at the office started to cause discomfort for Ashely. Will her discomfort lead her to ending things with Zachary. Ashley and Zachary had me in their corner cheering for them to get their chance for happiness.

3 stars is being generous. This was probably more of a 2-2.5 stars.
This was boring and predictable. And there was never really any issue/talk about the MMC being much older than the FMC. That's the POINT of an age-gap romance. The age is (at least) one of the major issues. Uhhh. Wish I hadn't read it.
Short story I enjoyed. I wish the ending was a little more romantic between them, the daughter was sweet but I'd liked to have seen their relationship more defined..maybe them getting married. They were a great couple and they did have a HEA.
It was good, just kinda boring. Don’t get me wrong i did enjoy reading it, it was short and right to the point.. but it was a predictable and kinda of a boring story…. It was like every office, age gap romance.
This book was written weirdly. It was third person and first person, it threw me off. I should have stopped reading when he said his wife was his only and his greatest love. You can’t compete with a dead person.
This is a cute boss/assistant romance. With a 24-year age gap, Ashley and Zachary have fought to resist one another for some time. After a series of travel miss haps, they go from colleagues to lovers. Overall, a cute story.
Her Bossy Silver Fox is an adorable short read with some spice. I just needed something to get me through the night before diving into a series. It's a good short read. Would recommend, a d looming forward to reading more Annie Paige books.
Again... Quick cheesy, so Hallmark😮💨. I really need to stop torturing myself. The spice was there but felt choppy. I also didn't like that the main male was attracted to the main female bc she was strong and independent but her character development didn't feel like that was accurate. The antagonist was a simple office weasel. I did enjoy that it was short

What a cute love story about Ashley and Zachary. Zachary is Ashley's boss and then they become more than that. I loved reading this story and became wrapped up in it and the characters. It's a quick read that will grab your attention and won't stop until the end.
