1.5 stars. Well, this was a Power Rangers story for sure. However, I just could not have cared less about any of these characters. Concepts dealing with the morphin grid and the Ranger Masters were interesting. However, interesting here did not translate to entertaining. This felt all over the place and I was looking forward to this ending. Maybe the work of Kyle Higgins overshadowed this one with the combination of the excitement of Parrot’s stuff coming up to negate my excitement for these issues. Regardless, this seemed like a standalone mini outside of the main story that wasn’t necessarily a necessary read.

This one was interesting but not great. The art was very cool, almost a manga style in most places. The story was interesting, the moral of the story was well seeded and delivered, but there were a several points when the messaging was more for the reader than for the people a given character was actually talking about.
Many polarizing ideas are engaged with that make this better: classism / haves and have nots, the impatience of the altruistic, suffering from isolation, being good for goodness sake, hope in the face of doom (that makes sense), and more.

What holds this back is the "and now I'll tell you the moral of the story" tone shifts for the characters, the strange change in personality of the solar ranger Elarrien, the hint (but unwillingness to present) of a relationship between her and Remi, and the lack of "screen time" for the have and have nots situation among the rangers AND on the planets we see.

3/5. It's good but not great. It's memorable, but not amazing. It's got great fan service and a good message that's delivered to camera a few too many times.

Was very disappointed in this book. Waited for weeks for this release and it was such a let down. Shattered Grid was fantastic and I expected the follow up to be at least on the same level, but this wasn't. I found several pages and panels very confusing. The story had holes that as a reader you're supposed to just skip over and pretend that they're not there. Finally the ending left me saying, "what??" 🤷🏾

I really enjoyed this storyline. It's really well written. The art I have to say is spectacular and the villain I found to be very interesting too as the lore of this universe is given more depth and history. A very enjoyable read.

A good stand alone story to come back down from the highs of the Shattered Grid storyline. To be fair, tho, I missed the regular Rangers. I didn't really have a connection to anyone in this book so it kinda felt flatter than the previous books. That said, I'm still gonna pick up the next books.

This was a good continuation of the beyond the grid story. I enjoyed seeing different rangers communicate and also introducing a new type of ranger was really well done. however I did not enjoy the suits or the villain.

The art was rad but I felt like the storyline was super hard to follow. I started reading this thinking it was a follow up to shattered grid but I realized I could’ve done without it.
