A new threat lurks on the horizon...Traveling to the third continent of the Fourliance, Keith is already expecting trouble. The Empress, leader of the Necro-Beast Faction is out for blood. He's also received a warning in the form of a quest, about a new and hidden enemy stalking him from the shadows. With no real allies, Keith must find his way through this new land, avoiding those whose power dwarfs his own. All while searching for a way to level the playing field, establish a new branch of his guild and defeat enemies, both known and unknown. While in the sprawling Lihng Capitol, Keith makes a shocking discovery about a powerful new weapon that can grow and evolve over time. Gathering the necessary materials won’t be easy, especially when an old enemy rears its ugly head, forcing Keith to make a decision that will change the course of history in the Fourliance forever. We Hunt Monsters is a LitRPG series in a fantasy world. This book contains multiple stat sheets, item descriptions, epic quests and of course, loads of monsters.
We get several long awaited quest finales, some awesome skill ups, some new skills, and plenty of fun future quest lines! All culminating in a climactic battle at the end of the book! The stakes just keep raising, but our boy Keith is up to the challenge!
The story itself is good and fun! However, the way the book is set up and the mistakes the author makes are just ANNOYING!
Example: The author writes that one of Keith's armour has the trait shock proof. Not 20 pages later Keith gets a notification, "You are Shocked." How?
The end was horrible! Literally in the middle of a battle, Keith jumps off the roof to engage the main big boss and the book technically ends. The epilogue has two minor plots being written that one assumes will continue into the next book; suddenly the fight that Keith was in continues (in the EPILOGUE!!! WHO DOES THAT!?!?). But still, this time the story does end without learning what happens to Alicia or Keith's rewards.
Also, I really do not understand the big twist of the identity reveal of the emperor. With how strong the guy actually is, how did he survive for so long on TBE continent of Humania? The author wrote about how the system doles out major penalties to people above the level cap; the emperor had to have been there for quite some time setting up his plans. It just didn't make sense based on the author's own rules for this world.
This author NEEDS to learn how to format a book.
Again... With everything above now out of my system, the story itself and the characters are fantastic; enjoy it.
One good thing about this book was there was so much action, sometimes a bit too much, but that's what we are here for, after all. Compared to the last book, this sure feels like a step up, and continues with what makes this series so entertaining. It is not easy balancing OP powers with real risks and struggles in such settings, but the author does manage to do that quite well. All in all, it's another great addition to the series. One thing to note is that the ending opens up a few storylines, which would surely be touched upon in future books. It would be nice to have a couple of more chapters after where the book ended though, but nevertheless, I guess the actual ending leaves one more excited to be waiting for the next book!
Story: Keith continues he mission to kill all the World monsters. How will he do that? Mostly by killing everything and anyone who gets in the way of him getting stronger. Why is he doing this? Well, kind of spoiler in nature but if you are reading this review you probably have at least read 1 or 2 books of the series and know he is trying to get back to his family. Was this book as good as the rest? Well, things are starting to be formulaic but not too bad. We know monsters will be hunted and killed, Keith will make friends and enemies alike, and he may even have to deal with "gods" or spirit in this world. But as with other stories, the journey is as important as the total saga being told. Will I continue to read the series? Yes, in fact, I have already started book #8.
This was another exciting arc as Keith heads to the next continent, the Fourliance, so named for an alliance that divides it. Keith has big plans, okay big ideas and loose plans, but he’s also lucky, determined, and skilled as well as Skilled. It may cost everything including his life but if he can pull off this next series of quests, he can grab some great experience killing scary monsters and people. I had a hard time putting this one down as the complexity drew me in, although at the end of the day magic is some crazy shit man. This series continues to entertain me whenever I sit down for a read.
Love this series a lot! He does a great job at spreading the story out while not making the series seem impossibly long or impossible. This book, especially, was great. Every chapter, every event was so intriguing I couldn’t stop reading. I do dislike how he ends his books with so much to reveal in the beginning of next book, but I say this knowing I have little to no patience.
Lots of long delayed hidden plot points revealed at end. Best fight. TBD many prior fights were boring and endless series of attacks like old martial arts video game -- without pause to describe strategic and personal impacts to major characters. Fights in this book tend to be better described as changing tactical picture -- especially the climatic fight at the end.
I hate cliffhangers and wish the author stopped using them. Have to wait until the next book to know the details and level ups after the climatic finish. Each book is absolutely amazing. Every time you think MC is OP, he starts getting smacked around as he moves up. Love the continuous growth and lack of plot armor. Absolute must read series.
Excellent addition to the story, however I would like more monster fights less humoniod drama. Though I do have a complaint from chapter 22 in the armor description: Immunity from Poison, and Immunity from Slashing. However he is still constantly taking damage from these sources when fighting the assassins, and yes while he is wearing this armor set.

A solid start to the next continent. The power curve is being kept somewhat balanced, thank the gods for items, and the character development is smooth.
Liked it more than the last one. It's a fun power fantasy. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes the idea of min maxing. Also like that the character is developing more personality.
A fun, entertaining, fast paced.read. The protagonist is mature, and decisive. The pragmatic MC doesn't display anxiety about his choices or the results of those choices. This read is for.grown ups.
Great main character, over powered, but still keeps finding growing challenges. Battles are smart, way he finds to win are inventive and fascinating. Other characters are deep and interesting, I'd be happy to see spinoff series on some of them.
Aaron Oster has done it again! The story is amazing filled with action, character development, and awesome powers!! Every aspect of the story is well thought out and the world it takes place in is interesting. Can’t wait for the next one!!
The first 75% of the book is extremely good. Amazing work by the author. But after acertain event it becames a morally downhill journey. And i can assure you that the real hero of this book is the Alv..
Loved the book and that Keith is coming into his own as a powerhouse. I like that despite how strong he is he still gets the crap kicked out of him when he should. Looking forward to the next one.
Fast-paced and doesn't pause for a moment, while allowing time for world building and character development. Doesn't make the MC more likeable but it does provide insights to make him more understandable. Highly recommend the series and will continue reading.
This book was one of the best ones yet, and the ending was tremendous! I mean it was amazing! Good job. I can’t wait for the next one! Keep up the good work and keep it coming my man!
The best one yet in my opinion. Was a good time following the battles! And while MC feels rather overpowered it does feel like the challenges he faces are only growing more and more so it all balances out in the end.
Really enjoyed this latest addition to the series! The ending did not feel like it tracked with the rest of the book. It felt a bit out of character for Keith.
Stilled loved the story and am looking forward to the next book!
Keith starting to feel at home is giving me feels, especially his interaction with Alicia and the foxian family. Give me more!!! Love this whole premise and world.
I struggle to read more than 5 books in a series due to it become redundant and boring at times. However, Aaron keeps bringing heat. Can’t wait to dig into book 8.
The saga continues at breakneck pace, with all the action, epic fight scenes and relentless plot twists that we have come to love about this series. Keith finally uses his world items and what a battle ensues! Excellent as always from Aaron Oster.
Wow, talk about action, talk about adventure, talk about epic battles!!! Nah, not going to talk about it. Going to tell everyone to buy the book and read about it for yourselves! Well worth the money and the wild ride it will provide!
