I’ve been called every name in the book, and I wear them proudly. I am not some poor naïve girl led on by taken men. I seek them out. I love being the other woman.
I don’t care what others call her. She has a reputation in our circle, and I know the rumors are true. It doesn’t matter to me. I want her like nothing I’ve ever wanted before, and I’m not above using others to put me in her crosshairs
WARNING: there is CHEATING. Don't read this is you're going to freak out!
This is actually really good, but the author doesn't give us ANY time with them as a couple (a habit which I'm learning this author does) and she ends on a cliffhanger for another character and doesn't indicate if there's a follow-up book or what!!! I'm pissed about that part.
Sammie (B-rated actress) and Tanner (some sort of businessman) took each other's virginities when they were 15. Sammie has serious relationship/daddy issues (which are never fully revealed or discussed), so the two lovers separate. Things since then have been a total tit for tat, a lesson on one-upmanship at its core. Sammie makes it a habit of only f*cking married men or men in relationships because she both wants to make Tanner jealous, and she also doesn't believe it's possible for people not to cheat. Tanner has only really loved Sammie, but he's allowed himself to keep playing her game. Now he's determined to get her attention, so he starts a relationship with a virginal, saintly girl. He uses that girl and takes her virginity and feels no remorse. Eventually, they quit playing games and commit to each other. HEA for these two irredeemable people.
I know people will hate them because they both have shitty morals, but that's how it goes sometimes. In books that I want to be romantic, I won't accept cheating. This book, I understood the character I was going to get, and I didn't judge them for it. I just wish we had more time with Sammie and Tanner as a couple.
The side issue. Jasmine is Sammie's BFF and publicist. She's got the hots for Sammie's brother, and it's also insinuated that Jasmine's boss, Nate Holloway, has the hots for her. We end with Jasmine pregnant and we're unclear on who the father is!!!! WHY DO YOU END A BOOK LIKE THIS?!?! Ugh I'm dying to know.
This is completely different from anything I’ve read before. I don’t think this book will be for 70% of readers out there. This book is from the POV of the other women that has zero regrets for what she does. I found it so interesting that I just couldn’t stop reading. Please take the authors warning seriously! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
something about the guy getting off to ai generated porn about the FMC just didn’t sit right with my spirit. *insert long explanation about how the author did include that the these are terrible characters yada yada in the authors note* okay and? i’ve read other stories with villains as the mc and they wouldn’t do this. it’s an issue of consent and idk my dude it’s a no from me.
also endnote - these characters were really just annoying
Tanner might have a girlfriend, but I’ll always be the one that got away.
If you think romance books should follow strict unwritten rules, then this quick read isn’t for you. If your dog woke up barking at 12AM because the electric company is working in your neighbors yard, then I highly recommend. Irredeemable will get you through it with a “break the rules” good time. There’s cheating and it all happens quickly, and fyi the adults reminisce about their hook up when they were young, so if you’re wary of that, alert lol. All in all entertaining.
Disclaimer: I read all the authors disclaimers and yes I don’t care. Why? The only good thing about this book was how short it was. But the list of wrongs is crazy. First off the AI scene was very uncomfortable and unnecessary. There are ways to write taboo situations and characters with nuance. These had none. Secondly, the characters were annoying and had no consistent development or thoughts. Thirdly, the spicy scenes weren’t even good. Very much feels like the author can’t decide if she wants to write a romance or an erotica, but I wish she would’ve just picked one. It is possible to write flawed characters and villains you care about and that was not accomplished for me in this story at all.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🔥🔥.5 Relationship: MW (primary relationship), both main characters have physical relationships with other people Tropes/content: Cheating (not on each other other), CNC, dub con, voyeurism
⚠️Check triggers⚠️
Sammie has a reputation for sleeping with men who are married or in committed relationships. She's been called every possible name in the book, but she doesn't care. Tanner has wanted Sammie for years. He doesn't care about her reputation or the names people call her. Tanner just wants Sammie, and he's not afraid to use others to get her.
If you don't mind main characters sleeping with other people or being cheaters (not on each other), then you'll like this novella. Sammie and Tanner are both deeply troubled people, yet they fit perfectly together. I loved the tension between them. While I don't agree with purposely sleeping with men who are in relationships (unless they're open relationships), I understood why Sammie's past made her seek out those connections. I agreed with her that she's not the problem, it's the married or committed men being unfaithful that are the problem. I loved how obsessed Tanner was with Sammie, especially at the end.
There's a cliffhanger at the end that has me hopeful about a new couple we'll get to see.
The drama is real with this one! So many f**ked up people in one book and I couldn’t stop reading it! Obviously the sex is fantastic because DUH the author knows what she’s doing! I’m not huge on cheating in books but I’ll read it. This one was different than any other one I’ve read and I loved that about it. In her previous releases I’ve loved the characters but in this one I felt whatever about them, which I think was the point. It was a quick, messed up read and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
This was completely different than anything I've read before.. This is told from the POV of the other woman. Sammie has a very specific type. It just so happens that she also almost exclusively with men that are already in a relationship.
If you do not like CHEATING on your read do NOT pick this book up. There's is a lot of cheating.
the push and pull between Tanner and Sammie and the tension is very palpable and entertaining. i enjoyed this read more then some other of her work so this is rated compared to other short taboo erotica.. not compared to full novels i love and give 4 stars too.
i did felt sorry for Madeline. and it nade me I wonder iff the rich and famous are truly this jaded & devious.
Ok this book will absolutely not be for everybody!! It pretty much includes most things people dislike in romance and erotica 🤣🤣🤣
But there’s something about this authors writing that I really enjoy!!
If you do read this, make sure to read the foreword the author gives and if you can’t handle the things listed then DO NOT read this. But if you are fine with that list, you’ll enjoy this quick and easy read!!
A little second chance romance where she can’t help but sleep with married men all while he is biding his time until he gets her back. An odd short story but a good one 😂
Review to remember: 0/5🌟, Cheating, OW & OM drama🚩🚩 bye👋🏼
Maybe this is just me but the quality of the sobja's stories has has gone down since 'Be my daddy' like I lapped all of the before 6 books like crazy & last two was big fat DNFs.

If the word ‘unconventional’ was a book, it’d be this one. No doubt in my mind. It’s 175 pages of good fun, toxicity, entertainment, cheating, other man/woman drama and surprisingly, acceptance. Sammie and Tanner’s story is fucked up, but it’s one you’ve never seen before. I believe these two are romantic in their own twisted ways.
I’ll explain, they’ve known each other for years and lost their virginities to each other when they were teenagers. Now they’re grown, and Sammie is a famous actress who likes to sleep with married men then discard them. Tanner, on the other hand, is a businessman (If i remember correctly) who bends over backwards to try to get Sammie.
How is that romantic, you wonder? Tanner gets engaged to a woman just so Sammie will pay attention to him. He riles her up every chance he gets, and what does she do? Sleep with other men. She uses sex as vengeance. But that’s where B. Sobjakken’s genius comes in. I’m personally not a fan of on-page sex with other characters than the MCs and I don’t really like ‘sharing’ (aside from why choose) scenes, but in this book? Loved it. And you want to know why? The author’s writing. It’s entertaining and fun, and you weirdly have a reasoning behind the characters’ actions.
The MCs and the side characters are delightful. Sure, they’re all at least a little morally grey, but it makes for good fun. It’s not done in an ‘over-the-top’ way or even in a cringey way. You’ll laugh, and probably question yourself, but you’ll have fun.
And the spice? It’s serving. Whether it’s with other characters or with the MC, the spice is so good. Dirty talk? Check. Voyeurism? Check. Semi-public sex? Check.
If you want something that’s a little out of the ordinary and quick to read, then it’s definitely the book you’ll want to read.
Both mcs are vile characters. The mmc especially gives me the ick with the things he said to the fmc. In front of other people at that. Banter is good and all but that was humiliating and being a jerk for no reason. He’s just angry and mad because she doesn’t want to pursue more with him. His whole speech of celibacy for months makes me laugh because he would have slept with Madeline way sooner if she initiated it sooner when they started their “relationship.” I don’t have anything to say about the fmc except that she does exactly what was promised in the synopsis. She’s the epitome of the very human being I hate the most.
The one star is not because I hate the characters because before diving into this I know 100% what I’m going to read in this. The low rating is because the pacing was choppy and all over the place. The flow was not smooth at all. I know it’s a short one but oh well.

ALTHOUGH THIS READ WASN’T AS ARRANT AS THE OTHERS I’VE READ THIS FAR, IT KEPT MY ATTENTION TILL THE END.
MADELINE DIDN’T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST SAMMIE AND I FELT A LIL BAD THAT SHE WAS THE PAWN IN TANNERS PLAN TO MAKE SAMMIE HIS.
LET ME FIND OUT JASMINE HAS TAKEN A PAGE FROM SAMMIE’S BOOK🤔👀🤣
TANNER AND SAMMIE WERE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. THESE TWO HAVE BEEN PLAYING A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE SINCE THEIR TEEN YEARS AND TANNER COULDN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE. HE WAS TRULY THE ONLY MAN WHO TRULY KNEW THE INNER DEMONS SHE WAS FIGHTING AND KNEW HOW TO SPEAK HER LANGUAGE. YOU COULD TELL THAT DESPITE HOW THEY WERE MOVING WHEN THEY WEREN’T TOGETHER THAT THE LOVE RAN DEEP AND THEY DID WHATEVER TO GET THE OTHERS ATTENTION, LEAVING A TAIL OF BROKEN HEARTS ALONG THE WAY. I REALLY WANTED THE MOMS REACTION WHEN SHE FOUND OUT TANNER DROPPED MADDIE FOR THE HOME WRECKING HEAUX SHE DESPISES🤣🤣🤣
I'm actually shocked that I liked this one, but I've liked pretty much liked everything else I've read from this author, so I shouldn't be so surprised. I hate all of the tropes in this book, and I especially hate cheating and scenes with OW/OM. So the shocked factor is that I actually wanted the MCs to end up together and was glad that they did.
I'm actually sure that like 95% of people who read this will not vibe with it, and for very good reasons.
Do I condone anything that happened in this book? No. But did I lower my standards to places they've never been before because I understood the reasoning behind each of their horrible actions? Yep.
When I am in the mood for something quick and smutty...I'm going B. Sobjakken every single time. SHE DELIVERS EVERY SINGLE TIME. Listen, I get that this story isn't going to be for everyone. There's cheating, there infidelity, there's toxic behavior..like I get it...the Stepford wives will be appalled. But, for me, this was just a feel good read. I have no triggers so fictionally I enjoy all the red flags and toxicity. The chemistry between Sammie and Tanner....HOT AS HELL! Tanner and his fitlhy mouth is everything. Great short novella!
WELL. That was certainly unlike any other romance book I’ve ever read but I actually really kind of liked it?
Like I kind of actually get why Sammie was the way she was and did the things she did and why she couldn’t let anyone in or close to her. Tanner was strangely endearing for being a massive butthole. It was palpable how much this man wanted that woman and it was sorta delicious while being absolutely and completely unhinged.

And another book of @brookelynnebooks that I've read. Im seriously running out of books by Brooke to read. Now then..... I adored Sammie. But Tanner was a complete and utter twat. Yep. Very British there but he was a bellend for most of the book until he grew a pair and finally told her how he felt. Maddie though can piss right off. She was a nuisance! Another quick and smutty by the queen B Sobjakken
When it comes to this author I expect nothing less than unhinged shenanigans in their books and this truly was it lololol.
This is messy, OTT, there is cheating (lots of it), full of unhinged spice and characters that were low key annoying but I still enjoyed reading their story 🤪
As always, I enjoy this author and will continue to read from them!
If you love Samantha from S3x and the City, you will like Sammie. She does what she wants unapologetically. She’s living her single life but Tanner is not far from her mind. Tanner can’t stop thinking about Sammie even when he has a steady girlfriend that his parent approve. This novella is toxic, spicy and a whirlwind of tension and I loved it.
Ok wow -- this was pretty interesting....are there seriously people in the world like this? The two main characters - Sammie and Tanner - were both a piece of work. Be prepared to both dislike them and also root for their happiness at the same time. Lots of cheating in this one too. This will not be for everyone 😉
