Hello, I’m Barbara Miller, the author, self-publisher and creator behind the Lily Lemon Blossom children’s picture book series. I love writing children's books. Little ones have such a vast and vivid imagination, and often spend a lot of time playing in their imaginary world. Through the adventures of Lily Lemon Blossom, I get to show them a glimpse into the life of a little girl who lives in their imaginary world with them. And whose imagination is as flourishing as their own.

Barbara Miller's debut book, Lily Lemon Blossom “Welcome to Lily’s Room" begins the adventures of a fun-loving little 5 year old girl with a big heart. 'I’ve enjoyed creating such a wonderful character. Lily Lemon Blossom is such positive little person. A happy little girl who is always finding ways to make those around her happy too.' Barbara is currently working on a new collection of Lily Lemon Blossom books and comics. She is excited about the future and all that could be in store for Lily Lemon Blossom.

Where is Lily’s Miss Kelly Kay? is the fourth book in the Lily Lemon Blossom series with the most recent book released in 2016. In this story, Lily receives a doll she names Miss Kelly Kay for her third birthday and then promptly loses her. She spends most of the rest of the book looking for the doll in different scenes around her house. Rhyming elements sometimes creep into the prose. The plot is simple so the illustrations take center stage.

Shalvashvili’s artwork is bold and striking, with large background details and rich swatches of color. Patterns appear on clothes, upholstery, toys and the girls’ wavy hair, all painted in traditional watercolors. There are interesting items to examine on every page, from lattice-topped cherry pies to a bunny’s underpants, and the hominess is reminiscent of Holly Hobby.

The mystery in Where is Lily’s Miss Kelly Kay? is quickly resolved and there is no lesson to learn. Instead, the story is a pleasant walk through a young girl’s life in a sweet, cozy atmosphere. At the 99-cent price point, there’s enough copy to challenge new readers and the book would fit nicely in the digital library of a child who loves dolls, toys and tea parties.

Great fun to read to my granddaughters!

The beautiful illustrations completely engage young ones, and the story is a delight for Grandpa to read. And, there's oodles more books in this series.

Wow! What an adventure Miss Kelly-Kay had but now back at home.

This I thought was well done both the story and the illustrations as well, therefore would like to recommend this especially forgive stars and girls 0-3 who enjoys dolls. I have received this ebook for free by KU and in return, here is my honest review. Super job Barbara! By Angela
