I trust in NR and her novellas to uplift my moods all the time. And like I expected, this didn't fail to do that.

Mattia found out accidentally that his capo dei capi has a long-lost sister. So he followed through on the leads that were given to him, and he found Aurelia. She's being held against her will by her brother's enemy, but Mattia was able to rescue her.

Anyway, this was a less-than a week love affair. Insta-love at its finest, unbelievable at best, but I'm here for the romance, so... Gotta be honest, though, the sudden shift from Aurelia hating Mattia to wanting to climb him like a tree and do the filthiest things with him gives me the whiplash. 😂

There was some suspense, action, and violence. The plot was kind of predictable, and some parts or dialogues came off as too cheesy and dramatic at times. Ngl, I did cringe, but I'm looking at a greater picture. That's why I could ignore those minor issues 🤭

Anyhoo, this was fun, short, and quick read. It was also enjoyable to see the couples from the other books. 💖

This is the last? In this series and it's pretty insta! We meet Mattia, who has been with the Valentino family, and finds out the brothers have a sister that they never knew. So he has a plan to go get her, and we'll love it at first site, lol. Mattia is head over heels for Aurelia. As for her, she isn't at first she's pushing and trying to guard her heart, not trusting. The push and pull Aurelia had was a lot, lol.

But that doesn't stop Mattia from marrying his woman, lol. But that doesn't stop Aurelia from having her own secerts that could ruin her HEA.
Few twist and fighting along the way plus the spice!!

DUAL VIRGINS!! *booty shake, happy dance, booty shake with a big grin on my face!*
(Mattia was in the mafia world since he lost his family at age 7, so he never has been with a woman until he meets his little mouse)
Quote,
"I don't have time for women or dating. Actually, I've intentionally
never made time. Women and kids are collateral damage in my
world."
end quote
Quote,
""Are you asking if my cock will belong to you, Aurelia?" He brushes
his thumb along my bottom lip. "My body?"
I moan.
"Do you want to hear me say that you'll be the only one who
touches me, cara mia?"
end quote (and yes it only belongs to her and she only belongs to him)
My favorite exchange,
Quote (their first time),
"I'm claiming what belongs to me now, Aurelia," he says. "And I'm
giving you what belongs to you. Do you understand?"
"I…" I shake my head.
"You asked if I'd belong to you, and I said yes. I'll belong only to
you, Aurelia." He brushes his thumb along my bottom lip. "No one
else has ever had this part of me. It's all yours, little mouse."
My core clenches, a blast of heat ripping through me. "Mattia," I
whisper, stunned.
"Every inch of you is mine to possess. And I'm yours in the same
way." He positions himself at my entrance, and I feel the hot head of
him pressing insistently. My heart pounds against my ribcage, anticipation coiling tight in
my belly. With one hard thrust, he's inside me, tearing through my
barrier"
end quote
Safe
No cheating
No OM/OW
Short separation (a few hours after she left after a misunderstanding, the misunderstanding quickly resolved but highly emotional)
No gross condom use
No pushing away (except in the dubcon play kinky way *wink wink*)
No third act break up, (but she leaves because of the misunderstanding but it is remedied right away. I did not like her choice though and I explain it below in my summary of events)
HEA

This was so good, so emotional! I clasped my hands to my chest and audibly sighed at the DV revelations and the swoon worthy hero Mattia, and just how deeply he loves his little mouse. I cried at how much our heroine suffered, at how Mattia suffered, and how they bond with one another. I swooned at how they instantly fell for one another, Mattia fell for her full on, with zero resistance and he never EVER wavered in his love for her, but I was mad for a short time at Aurelia for not trusting him fully, but a part of me understood her. I got hot under the collar at the dirty talk this man can bring to the bedroom and my cheeks reddened at their sex play. All the emotions, just all the emotions, including a very satisfying one I am feeling (not like that you pervs!), at how everything ended with a beautiful, happy ever after that left me with a smile on my face and happiness in my heart. This is darker and more serious than we are used to, and I have to admit, that I prefer the lighthearted NR romances better, even her mafia romances have not been this dark, but there is that familiar Nichole Rose sweetness all throughout and the Nichole Rose alpha OTT, hero who is so intense and passionate and growly and just...*sigh* perfect. Mattia is just perfect. He is so drunk with love for his woman that it made me swoon some more. The beginning, when Mattia said in his inner monologue that he never touched a woman, made me feel comfortable that it was a DV, so it made me relax and read with fervor as I was quickly sucked into this world. It NEVER fails to make me feel a burst of just pure joy whenever I read that they are each others one and only, I can't help it! It made me happy and even hopeful that Nichole Rose will give us more one true love Vcard romances in future, because we love her for it, and she writes them so well.

The story is straight forward so here it is with a few spoilers. (This is so I can remember the story in the future.)
Aurelia is Rafe and his brother's, sister. The four brothers did not know they had a sister, but she knew she had brothers. Her mother is sick and she grew up poor with only her mom but they were happy. She sought out help and talked to someone she thought was from Rafe's entourage, but he wasn't, he lied to her and instead of taking her to Rafe, he kidnapped her and gave her an ultimatum. She was a prisoner in a gilded cage so to speak for two months and that is where the story starts. Mattia is part of Rafe's mafia family and took control of the decision making when Rafe and the other guys wanted to back off to focus on their wife and kids. He finds her and decides to kidnap her. Suffice is to say this man fell for her hard and I loved seeing him fall in love! Her eyes widened as well at the sight of him! We witnessed love at first sight, but Aurelia, although a bit scared and at the same time titillated, holds her ground refusing to go, but that only makes her future man want her even more. He wasn't going to leave without his future wife.
As all the feelings courses through him, all at the same time he decides to drug her, marries her and more events unfold throughout the story. I know I know! This is unconventional, even shocking, but it reminded me of the old fashioned historical romance forced marriage trope. For me, I thought him taking control like that was hot. The reason he did that is because of one thing. He knows that she is it for him and wanted to bind her to him without wasting a second. The second reason is that with his last name, she is protected and so is his mafia family. The truth is he fell instantly in love with her and wanted her bound to him in holy matrimony for life. It took a bit longer for her to get on board fully, but she is also swooning at her feet for this handsome, take control, obsessed man and she is enjoying these new feelings. These two fit perfectly, in all aspects and she fell for him just as hard, as she felt a strong pull for him. I love Mattia and I love Aurelia (for the most part), but there was a part with the misunderstanding that made her run and I did not like that she did not trust Mattia, so I was mad at her in that moment and even angrier with her when she told him that she wanted him to feel the heartbreak she felt. I was all a classic, phone conversation misunderstanding. She heard only parts of the phone call between Mattia and Coda and thought Mattia married her as a move to protect his mafia family and that he faked his love for her. But she couldn't be more wrong. I understand her heartbreak thinking that Mattia was faking it when he didn't, but I did not like that she wanted Mattia to suffer like she did when her heart broke. She should have confronted him, so part of me hated that. She did beg for forgiveness even though Mattia understood right away what happened and went to Rafe to help find her only to find her there with her brothers, crying. He knew that she overheard and that she is out there heartbroken believing he doesn't love her, so he went in search of her to clear the air. Her brothers confronted him and that scene was so epic I can understand the choice to leave in order for that scene to happen. She was so sorry she didn't just confront him, and she told Mattia that she feels really bad and regretted not trusting him and how much she hated seeing him in pain. He of course never held it against her and understood how she must have felt only hearing part of the conversation and misunderstanding it. I am telling you Mattia is a such a fantastic hero!! It's ok, because it lead to such an emotional scene of Mattia wanting to get to her just to be near her by trying to get past her brothers taking hit after hit, only to get up just to get to his wife. That scene just broke me in the best way. It was so gut wrenching and just so romantic I cried and clasped my hands to my chest. It broke Amalia too hating the fact that this was her doing, and she hated to see him suffer! Just trust me on this it was so moving and I forgave her afterwards. I don't like when one character turns on the other, so I still did not like her choice to leave and wanting him to feel pain, that is my only little complaint, but in order for that epic scene to happen, I get it. So much more happens before and after, this is just a memorable moment for me to remember. I only wanted to write some highlights for me to remember when I refer back to the book in future.

I recommend it highly! You will go through all the emotions on this one, in a good way! Mattia is the best part of this romance, and we get to see all the couples in this world. It is worth the read! My heart soared with happiness that we got our Nichole Rose back giving us Dual v-card/one true love goodness like she did in the past and swoon worthy heroes we fawn over, and I pray this NR is here to stay to give us more.
Happy reading everyone!

safe, sweet n steamy

Well it’s been a minute since I’ve read a Nichole rose book and I just happened to grab this one. Didn’t realize I was coming in the tail end of an interconnected series when I did so. Oh well. Now I’ll just have to start reading backwards I guess.

This was a good read! I went into it expecting some cringe, because unfortunately this author has a tendency to write pendeja heroines, super neurotic, easily panicked Karens who melt at the slightest bit of pressure. But this didn’t have any of that!

The heroine was sweet. She was hiding some secrets, she was vulnerable without being brainless and even after she screws up, she has the spine to admit it. Respect!

The hero was yummy, fierce and protective and determined from the first second to make the heroine his.

Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned except to imply he’s been celibate or possibly even a virgin, definitely not a manwhore. Heroine is a virgin and gives the hero the gift of claiming all of her firsts for himself. No ow/om, no cheating or sharing or abuse. HEA with epilogue

First I'm so sad the series is now complete, but what a beautiful ending for the Valentino family. We now finally get the story of how Mattia found his One. Mattia finds out that the Valentino brothers have a long lost sister, an illegitimate child that their father never acknowledged. She is being held captive by their enemies and so Mattia rescues her. But when he sees Aurelia for the first time his whole life changes. He marries her the very same day to keep everyone safe. Aurelia knows about the life her brothers lead and she has her own secrets and that's what could threaten her HEA . But the family stays loyal and they fight together against the enemy and in the end they all get their happy ending. Instalove, sweet, steamy, bittersweet , a bit sad, a few twists and turns , with action, fun to read and totally safe ( oh yes dual virgins-😏😏😏) with an awesome HEA and an epilogue that includes all of the characters from the previous books. 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Mattia Agostino works for the Valentino family. Rafe Valentino is the head of the family and Mattia’s best friend. Rafe and his brothers recently found out that they have a sister, but they don’t know who she is or where she is right now. Mattia and Coda believe they have found her but are being cautious because they don’t want to be wrong. If they are wrong, it could be big trouble for the Valentino Family. Brio Cascella recently became the head of his family and he has the sister in one of his mansions.

Aurelia Roscoe knows who Mattia is and she know that she is the sister to the Valentino brothers. Their father kicked out Aurelia’s mother when she became pregnant and threw some money at her. Aurelia’s mother kept her hidden from the Valentino family and their enemies to keep Aurelia safe. Now her mom is very sick. Aurelia went to see Rafe, but Brio Cascella intercepted her, deceived her and kidnapped her. Brio tells Aurelia that she is to spy on the Valentino family and do what Brio tells her or he will kill her mother and then her.

Mattia and Coda rescue Aurelia. Mattia brings her to his home and marries her that night to protect her. Coda thinks it is a bad idea and they both know Rafe is going to be furious.

I loved that Mattia was willing to break his bond and friendship with Rafe to keep Aurelia. I have enjoyed every story about the Valentino family and close friends.

And little by little, she's becoming something irreplaceable to me. Something I'll kill to keep.

Bittersweet. It's sad to see the series end, but it was also simply amazing. Each book, character, story, was perfection. Ending with Mattia was a great choice. He is Rafe's right hand man. Never thought he'd settle down like all of the other men in his life. But he just hadn't met Aurelia yet. He was freaking OTT J/P, protective, the absolute perfect MMC. He was bossy and determined. And he had an absolutely dirty mouth. Holy. Crap. Lol. He needed a woman like Aurelia. She tested him and fought him. She made life fun. She was perfect for him in every way. I loved that they both were so open to falling in love with each other. No one fought it. They knew what they had found. Their journey is not smooth and not without some pretty severe bumps. I was surprised with one thing Nichole made happen in it, but it made their story more real. Real life isn't perfect. Heck, fairy tales aren't either. Life is what you make it, what you choose to focus on. Aurelia wanted a happy life. She was sweet and awesome. I loved seeing everyone together in the end. I love this family so much. Their banter is aces. Well done on another incredible series, Nichole!

Emotions! All the emotions! I can’t believe this is the end of the series, but what a way to finish it. I’ve been looking forward to Mattia’s story since the very first book and it was nothing like I expected in the best possible way. A sister?! Never saw that coming. Mattia was a brother to them in every way, and now he truly gets to be their brother. What a beautiful way to tie it all together. Aurelia and Mattia were perfect for each other. They were both fiercely loyal, protective and loving people. They had quite the rocky meeting, but the fall out was explosive! Steamy with just the right about of tender love and a whole lot of obsession. I do wish there was a few more scenes where the men find out who Aurelia are, but how it happens was perfect as well. True to Nichole Rose style there’s insta love, no cheating or OM/OW drama, dual virgins, HEA and 2 epilogues in the future. The second epilogue was a nice touch to end the series. I’m so sad their stories are over, but can’t wait to see what’s next!

No. It isn’t the end. I’m not ready. I can’t leave the Valentino world! I want the second generation. 😉

Aurelia and Mattia are now my second favorite couple in Nichole Rose’s world.

There are many similarities to Wrecked (my absolute fave Nichole Rose book) including it starting very similarly - Principessa in hiding, names of the h - Aurelia/Amalia, the plan - for h to be taken by Rafe (or his men). You would think that it would feel like Rose is cheating by writing the same book but it really doesn’t come off that way. And she even points out how similar Aurelia and Amalia are to show Aurelia she will be accepted.

The common theme throughout the series is family. Family is the most important thing - whether it’s blood or chosen. The older I get the more I live this.

Rafe 😍 I just love him. And yes, I do have to include that in every review for this series. 😂

This is an ARC review.

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an absolutely phenomenal forced proximity romance. It was a really well written story and it had a great pace. It was a story that I both loved and hated, loved because it was just such a wonderful story and hated because it served as the end to the mafia universe created by Nichole Rose. And even though I thought that Mattia’s story was the perfect way to end, I’m not ready to say goodbye to this universe and I just know that I will be revisiting it again and again.
Mattia and Aurelia had the best chemistry and I loved the very explosive nature of their relationship. They were just so perfect together and that made me love them. It was just such a special story.

Irreplaceable, the perfect way to close the Illicit Love series. Nichole Rose always writes the perfect insta-love stories, love stories that keeps you on the edge of your seat! Irreplaceable has the perfect amount of heat, angst, pain, sweetness, anger, and healing. There were times in the story that I actually forgot to breathe! Mattia, he vowed his life to the Valentino family, at least that was until he saw Aurelia Roscoe, then he vowed his life to her. In actuality, he still kept his vow, especially when he forces Aurelia to marry him, Rafe Valentino’s hidden sister!! Mattia will literally give his life for his love and his family. Spectacular story, I think Irreplaceable is my favourite of the series. Definitely a re-read!!!

Irreplaceable was another solid addition to the Illicit Love series, and I loved the concept of the Valentino’s having a secret sister. I do wish we had gotten more one on one time with Aurelia and all her brother, but her relationship with Mattia more than made up for it.

This couple had that undeniable pull to each other that all of the other couples in the series also felt, and it was so nice seeing Mattia get his HEA finally. The build up to revealing who Aurelia was was pretty good, but the most memorable part of this book is the devotion Mattia had to Aurelia and the family. Of course Aurelia was always his number one, and we got to see the entire family come together in agreement that the women have brought purpose and love to fill their crazy lifestyle.

Nichole has finished the series on an absolute high, and while it's bitter sweet as we leave the Valentino world Irreplaceable is the best book to end on.
In this final installment we meet Mattia and Aurelia. Mattia has been in the family since he was seven, while Aurelia is hidden mafia royalty. Hidden from her brothers (Rafe, Gabe, Luca and Nicole), she's put in a no win situation but can Mattia help her find the win she so desperately needs and deserves.

Dual pov writing, spice, double virgin main characters, no cheating, angst, mafia romance, hidden family plot, standalone within a series, interlinking characters, HEAs

Oh Mattia! I’ve been so looking forward to this and it didn’t disappoint! When Mattia discovers the Valentino brothers have a sister, Aurelia, no one knew about and she is being held captive by their enemies he rescues her and keeps her safe with him. He knows she is his one but he needs to find out what she is hiding so he can keep her safe. He will do anything to keep her safe and with him including marriage, hiding things from the boss and losing his own life if necessary. Absolutely amazing with off the charts chemistry, a little kink, danger, suspense, family drama, a loving, obsessed, fiercely protective hero and a truly wonderful HEA

What an incredible mafia book! This is a series but can be read as a standalone. Mattia finds Aurelia after finding out that his don has an unknown sister. He basically kidnaps her and forces her to marry him for protection, but Aurelia has some secrets. She is too scared to trust Mattia with them.
This book is a great combination of instalove, curvy girl and mafia life. Although Aurelia is keeping secrets from Mattia, he is also keeping secrets from his don, which could land him in a world of trouble but she’s worth it to him

He finds out that she’s exists that the Valentina family have a secret sister, she was hidden away until mattia finds her and there’s an instant attraction on both sides!
The family drama the emotions and the fierce family protection is so strong in this book.
It brings the whole family together.

This series has been one of my favorites from the start and, what a way to end a series. It was just SO GOOD. I went through all of the emotions while reading this. Mattia is dangerous and will do anything for the family, but when it comes to Aurelia he will burn down the world for her. Secrets and danger are no match for love and family when it comes down to it. Definitely my favorite of the series.

Nichole Rose outdid herself with this one. She had my emotions all over the place.

Mattia (H) KNEW that Aurelia (h) was his and he NEVER wavered with his feelings towards her. This man's dirty talk had me 🥵.

This is a little darker than her other reads but just as delicious.

Sad that this is the last of the series.

I received a complimentary copy and am voluntarily leaving my HONEST review.

What an amazing end to such a great series! The feels... oh the feels in this one. As always, there's heat and romance, but so much more. Mattia is just everything you want in an MMC and Aurelia is sassy, sexy and exactly what this bad boy with a heart of gold needs. I loved this story and while I'm immensely sad to see the conclusion of the series, this was the ending they deserved! I can't wait to reread the entire series again.

Mattia & Aurelia

This is my favorite from the series. I always wondered if Mattia would get his HEA. Nichole delivered with this story. Aurelia is the sister Rafe and the Valentino’s never knew they had. Not only does he kidnap his little mouse, he marries her and falls in love with her.

I love a good mafia man and Mattia is just that. When he tells Aurelia to fight him…. Chefs freaking kiss!! 😘 This was the perfect ending!

Check the TW!!
I devoured this book!!! Im sad to see this series go but it was one of the best ones Nichole has written. And the ending of this series couldn't have been any better.
This book had tropes of: mafia, age gap, betrayal, lies, secrets, drama, spice (with a dirty talking MMC) and a MMC who was possessive and obsessive in the best ways. Mattia fell hard and fast for his little mouse and didnt care about the consequences.

I really enjoyed this book, this is the last book in the Illicit Love series. Mattia and Aurelia's story was so worth the wait and everything came full circle with this last book. I can't wait to see what's next to come from Nichole Rose but her dark romance writing is awesome.

This is and ARC review for my honest opinion.

Secrets

When Mattia learns the Valentinos have a sister he finds her and rescues her but Aurelia is more to him the moment they meet, she is his. He will do anything to protect her, even take a beating from her brother when he learns the truth. Just like all the other men in the Valentino Crime Family his woman is his world in this darkly sensual read.

The final book of this wonderful series, and had to be so good to enjoy from beginning to end, the plot of a secret mafia princess, of which no one knew anything, but Mattia learns that secret and claims Aurelia. In the development of the story you can read parts about each member of the Valentino family.
