A heartwarming holiday romance with small town charm and Christmas cheer, perfect for reading by the fireside as you curl up under a cozy blanket.
Mindy Harvey has a wonderful life in Snowy Pine Ridge. With good friends, a successful bakery, and the loyal company of her dog Gus, she has everything she needs.
Well… almost. The only thing that’s missing is someone to share it all with, but after several lackluster dates, she’s decided not to settle for anything less than true love. So she’s shocked when the only man she’s ever loved—and the man who broke her heart—appears in Snowy Pine Ridge just before Christmas.
Noah Henderson, a driven businessman with a demanding schedule, has inherited a large parcel of land in town after his aunt’s passing. He plans to develop the land into an industrial complex, and his arrival stirs up a storm of resistance from the townspeople who cherish their close-knit community.
Fortunately, they have one chance to change Noah’s mind. A stipulation in his aunt’s will requires him to get to know the town before he does anything with the land he’s inherited—so Mindy reluctantly volunteers to be his tour guide.
Still nursing the hurts of the past, she expects to hate every minute of their time together. But as she and Noah attend the tree lighting festival, partner up for a very competitive gingerbread house contest, and even help with a holiday marriage proposal, she starts to see a new side of the man who once held her heart.
As a spark reignites between them, she finds herself wanting to give love a second chance. But will this chapter end the same way the last one did? Or can Mindy and Noah find a way to rewrite their story?
It’s not the book it’s me! I think I need a long break from romcoms. This book was really sweet and had all the Christmas bells and whistles done in a way that flowed. Noah and Mindy were super cute and had good conflict, especially after the 50% mark when we started to get more backstory. And some of the descriptions of snow ridge was beautiful.
But the backstory was introduced too late. I think it’d have been good to have a clear picture of Mindy and Noah’s old relationship from the start so the book would have more weight, and we’d be able to *feel* the new changes in their lives/priorities now. I took a while to truly like Mindy. I liked Noah but had moments when I wished he didn’t act so awkwardly... A look back at their past relationship would have also given them depth in the first half. But without it, I felt no chemistry between them for a while and their history felt empty. I also was impatient to get to the end because I wanted to read something with more angst and drama and plot—which is no fault of this book’s, just my current reading taste! At 70% I began to skim to the end.
Also the synopsis mentions that Mindy had it all except someone to share it with and I think that’d have been a rich addition to the story. Nothing like that was mentioned in the story (as I read it) and her former relationships were mentioned dismissively, not at all like she was searching for true love as is said in the synopsis!
Gus was adorableeeee. I wish we had more bakeshop moments to bring in the cozy. I liked the gingerbread contest and the time they both spent together, getting to know each other gain, felt realistic and not rushed as you’d expect from a short book! It was lovely to see Mindy’s large group of female friends. I liked the summary of how Mindy and Sarah became friends—at first I’d wondered how two bakeshops in a small town could be pals and thought things would’ve been more interesting if they were rivals. But it seemed that already happened in an earlier book. It truly was a good idea to have the two businesses complement each other!
I just wasn’t in the headspace for this, and part of me wants to give it 5 stars because it does Christmas well, but I feel like 3 is less biased of me!
The final book in the series introduces a new character, who has inherited land in Snowy Pine Ridge. He plans to built an industrial park which feels like a threat to the town and its people. Fortunately, they have one chance to change Noah’s mind. A stipulation in his aunt’s will requires him to get to know the town before he does anything with the land he’s inherited—so Mindy reluctantly volunteers to be his tour guide.

A quick note, I read this book as a standalone and I must say that a lot of other storylines come in a lot here, and you get a view into the lives of other folks who appear in the series so personally for me it was overwhelming with following the other characters and understanding their stories and backgrounds. So to overcome this, I personally recommend that you read the series in order if you want to understand the POVs of other characters better. Personally, I was just more interested in learning and reading more about the main MCs of this one because the book already was short so I wanted to learn more about them but I guess in this series you get sneak peek into everyone's lives again and again.
Well, that wasn't a quick note but coming to the book, the book by itself was good and I really liked the FMC's feistiness at a lot of points. I am glad there was no third act breakup and stuff and everything was handled quickly and properly. The whole Christmas, small town vibe was painted really well and you could feel the warmth and love of the residents of the town through the characters over and over again. I was bummed that this book wasn't that long. And while I understood that the reasons for their fallout, I wanted a bit more story on it, I wanted to understand the nitty gritty of what had gone down in the past and how they were together. I just felt like though I knew they broke up, I still felt there were missing pieces that I needed to understand better and to understand why it seemed to affect her more than him.
This final book of the Snowy Pine Ridge series is a wonderful ending to the series. I love small town series, and in this one, the town is as much of a character as the people. This book centers on baker Mindy and her ex-boyfriend, businessman Noah, who came to town to build an industrial complex. It was a great plot, and there were also new developments in the lives of other people we met in the series. Fiona Baker deftly writes about both complications and solutions in characters' lives. If you haven't read any of this series, I highly recommend it.
If an author is going to end a series- this is the way it should end - with some happily ever after.
Maybe because it’s the holiday season- which always makes me happy- maybe I saw enough scary movies over Halloween- I liked the story; or it could be that it’s just a well written, well edited tale with likable characters that I enjoyed it. It was a relaxing read. I hated to put it down and looked forward to picking it up again and hated when it was over. I found a kind of satisfaction at a happy ending in this Christmas time tale.
This is the last book in the Snowy Pine series. It rounded out the things that needed finishing and all ends well. I always want to know more when I have put in so much time into the same series. Do Mindy and Noah have children? Will Rudolph make a match with Edith? Did Valerie win any more awards for her movies? And on and on.
Noah is a corporate man who inherits a piece of land and finds a friend from his past. While in Snowy Pine Ridge he notices changes in himself and is welcomed by the members of the town. He finds his true self and perhaps purpose in life with the help of Mindy and our favorite Snowy Pine Ridge characters. A heat warming, innocent romantic read.
So much fun in this book! I enjoyed it as one of my many Christmas reads. Love transformed many people and brought couples, friends and the town together to support each other. I was glad to see Noah finally but in to words what he really wanted to do with his life. Small town charm wins!!
I love this next installment of the snowy Pine Ridge series. I liked how the community members banded together to keep their town how they wanted it while still being kind to Noah. I enjoyed as Noah grew into a more accepting and well-rounded person. Gus is a wonderful addition to the story.
Even though you absolutely know the core characters will end up together it is just a wonderful uplifting story. Fiona has a way of wrapping you into the story and the characters lives. These stories are for anyone who wants to escape the worry and stress of every day life.
This series of books made me want to read more. It was hard to Put down I just wanted to keep reading to find out what was happening. I really enjoyed all of the books & was kind of sad to know if was all coming to an end. So much joy that I would love to find a place like Snowy Pine..
This is one of my favorite books so far. The characters are supportive, friendly and have great family values. I enjoy read as I'm transported to snowy pine ridge where I met wonderful people. I recommend this book series. As always happy reading.
This adorable series will allow you to escape into a Christmas wonderland where the characters are just as endearing as the setting. Fiona Baker does a great job capturing the joy of the holiday season in six sweet stories.
Fiona Baker creates characters you'll love, a setting you'll want to go to, and a love story you'll ❤️ relish. I read all 6 books in the Snowy Pine Ridge series and loved every one!
A really lovely series to read during the Christmas season! The characters in each book are so very different yet merge together to make a very pleasant read. Great last book and wonderful series!
One of my two favorite novels in the Snowy Pine Ridge series, it was as if Fiona Baker saved the best for last. While the novel focuses on the relationship, past and present, between Mindy Harvey and Noah Henderson, Fiona Baker has written a satisfying conclusion to the series.
Love that I can pick it up and read for awhile No sex, rude words or trashy nonsense A book that is so so relaxing a perfect read while setting in front of the fire.
I loved this final book the most! Snowy Pine Ridge and love win! Mindy & Noah are great characters and I enjoyed their story as well as updates of all the other characters.
Refreshing, fun and sweet way to bring all of the characters together, and even add a new resident of Snowy Pine Ridge (eventually). The event of the year was a perfect ending! Loved The Christmas Reunion!
