An all new stand-alone romance in USA Today best-selling author Kim Loraine's Sunrise Cowboys series.
I spent my life running from my past, hiding behind a guitar, a microphone, and a fake last name. But after my father's death, the truth came out, I'm a Wilde, and now I'm in the spotlight more than ever. My record label has big plans for Killian Wilde, the country music sensation, and unfortunately those include a co-written album with British bad-boy rocker Jameson Lorde. The one man I can't stand. Even if he is the sexiest man I've ever seen.
One month spent at Wilde Horse Ranch, forced to work together every waking moment, just might bring one—or both—of us to our knees.
USA Today bestselling author Kim Loraine was raised a Navy brat but spent most of her life growing up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. A proper Washingtonian, she's addicted to coffee, doesn't let a little rain ruin her day, and thinks the sun is a gift from God. When not chasing her three little minions around, Kim spends her time writing, reading, and binge watching Doctor Who.
(audiobook) The ingredients were good, but I wasn’t totally convinced by the result. I still enjoyed it a lot, because the characters were interesting, and the narration was great.
My main problem was that everyone kept overreacting, in my opinion, and a lot of drama could have been easily avoided. The reaction of Killian’s bandmate: too much. Killian’s depression after it: too much. Jameson’s avoidance because he’s attracted to Killian: too much. I mean, a little perspective and some chill, and they could all have had a perfect life. But in the name of angst, we get all of that, and that plus Jameson’s past guarantee that the main men are broken and not ready to dive into a relationship. Fine by me.
Killian and Jameson couldn’t have been more different. One writes country music, the other is a rockstar. One comes from a big family, the other has been alone all his life. One is American, the other is British. And Jameson is older than Killian. The idea that working together could spark their creativity isn’t too farfetched. What they couldn’t predict: their attraction to each other. Especially since Killian is convinced that Jameson is straight.
And unrequited love is Killian’s main trauma. Let’s not even talk about his parents. His little problem with his bandmate is the main reason he’s back in Sunrise. And now, he has feelings for the wrong man at the worst moment in his career. I think that was the best thing in this book: by working together, and connecting in some way, Killian and Jameson create magic; but feelings can get in the way of the best chance they both have at making great music. What’s more important, professional or personal life? For a musician, it’s a tough question, they’re kind of connected. I enjoyed this interesting conflict.
I also enjoyed Jameson finding his place somewhere. The Wilde extended family welcomes him, helps him, supports him–unless he hurts Killian, of course. His story is quite sad, so it was nice to see him get his happily ever after.
And seeing again the whole family was fun. Though it could be a bit confusing, as it’s supposed to be a standalone, yet a lot of informations are just hinted at, like you’re part of a secret club. If you haven’t read any other book of this series, you may feel a bit left out, but it won’t keep you from enjoying the story.
The narration was excellent, like the characters had been written just for those narrators. It isn’t just because of the accents, which are perfect of course. Killian’s narrator is great at expressing his vulnerabilities, and Jameson’s does a good job too. They bring the book to another level.
Quickie
- Series: Sunrise cowboys #10 (can be read as a standalone, linked to another series by the same author) - Hashtags: #MM romance #cowboy romance #celebrity romance #forced proximity #age gap #bisexual - Triggers: mention of neglect and drug abuse, past death - Main couple: Killian Wilde & Jameson Lorde - Hotness: 3/5 - Romance: 4/5 - + I loved Killian and Jameson working together to make music - – seriously, TALK! be honest
Kim Loraine never fails at delivering the best cowboys with their wranglers and the way they utter the word "darlin" but what I didn't expect was for her to have me falling head over heels for a rockstar!! Doesn't hurt that said rockstar is British and could give any of the Wilde's a run for their money when he says "love".
Drive Me Wild was not just a story of a cowboy who fell in love with a rockstar it was the story of two men who had had their hearts broken by life over and again only to find their happy place in one another.
J.F. Harding as Killian Wilde was pure decadence! From his moments of worry to his moments of pure sin Harding gave a performance that I won't soon be forgetting. J.F. Harding and cowboys go together like peanut butter and syrup. A pure match made in audio heaven!
And James Joseph as Jameson Lorde I was not prepared! Most of my experience with James Joseph is as Noah Blackthorne so I am used to full on snark and "touch her and die" vibes but seeing him in a bit of a softer role really hit my heart. He was so gentle with Kill from the very beginning even when his temper got the best of him. And that really came through in James Joseph's narration.
With themes for forced proximity and a bit of a slow-burn, Kim Loraine's newest book in the Sunrise Cowboys series is going to turn you into a big puddle! Whether that is from the sheer swoony nature of these two or the way they heat up the bedroom that is going to be up to you to find out!
Looking forward to seeing these two again in later books where I am sure we will get even more of their happily ever after looks like.
*ALC received from Audibly Addicted in exchange for my honest review. *
I confess that I picked this up solely because of who the narrators are, and they're fantastic. The story is nothing new - troubled country music star Killian is forced to team up to write a song with British rock star Jameson Lord in an attempt to resurrect both their careers. Proximity engenders attraction, engenders romance...
It was a quick listen with duet narration, which I found very jarring here - I'm listening to a man reading narrative passages when suddenly a female narrator appears to read a female character's dialogue, and it took me out of the story every time. Both JF Harding and James Joseph are more than capable of delivering believable female characterisations, so while Stella Hunter is an excellent narrator, her presence really wasn't necessary.
Drive Me Wild by Kim Loraine is a MM cowboy rockstar romance that listened to on audio narrated by James Joseph, J.F. Harding, and Stella Hunter. This is the tenth book in the Sunrise Cowboys series and can be read as a standalone.
This is the first book of Kim's that I have read where it wasn't a cowrite and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see how it was all going to play out. I loved the chemistry between Killian and Jameson. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life. I will definitely be going back and reading the other books in this series.
James, J.F., and Stella did an amazing job on the narration. They really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a MM romance, cowboy romance, rockstar romance, forced proximity romance, or a contemporary romance.
Killian and Jamie were a fun but also emotionally couple to read. This workplace, forced proximity storyline lent itself to falling hard and fast with crazy chemistry. I also really enjoyed seeing glimpses at the rest of the Wildes and what they were up to.
They might've fallen hard and fast, but the story was a pretty slow burn, our leading men fighting their feelings at every turn. Overall, I liked how the story turned out and would actually want to see how they sounded as a duo if they were real life music artists.
I have been a huge fan of Kim Loraine for a while now, and a big fan of her writing partner Meg Anne with other series that they write! I love all of the work I have had the privilege of reading!
Unfortunately for me, this was the first book I have read in this series. And while the book was great, and the narration was very well done, I felt like the book spent a whole lot of time talking about things that happened in the past. And I'm not talking about flashbacks. I felt like I was a newbie to a friend group, and they all had these great experiences lived before I arrived (Awesome, right? They have this bond, this friendship, cool adventures they have been on, past relationship history, etc) except they would kind of giggle to themselves and have a bunch of inside jokes and never really explain the context. They just expected you to know...
That was how more than 50% of this book went. It talked about past relationships, and past things that happened. It was like "Oh remember that time when..." But I don't remember, because I am new here. So that was kind of frustrating, but that's all on me!! I jumped in at the end!!
Because I jumped in at the end, I also had no connection, no bond, with any of the characters like other people would. It feels lonely here on the outside, lol!!
Ok, so aside from that, the rest of the story was actually really cute! I really loved the main characters.
After the death of his father, Killian Wilde learned of his true lineage, and it put him in spotlight more than ever! But for the past year, Killian has been struggling with his music career. His band abandoned him, and now as a singer/songwriter he is completely on his own. He has never been on his own before. His publicist decides to pair him up with British bad boy rocker Jameson Lorde.
From the moment Jameson steps foot on the ranch, Killian does not like him, and is totally in love with him. Killian just wants to keep brooding and lick his wounds over the trauma in his past, and Jameson is really making that difficult! On top of that, his distracting good looks are keeping Killian from focusing on tasks he needs to do.
Seeing that Killian is struggling, and knowing they only have a short time together to plug out a #1 hit, Jameson joins Killian in all of his work and chores around the ranch. And seeing the British hottie in Wranglers has Killian even more unfocused!
The heat and the angst in this book everything I expect from a Kim Loraine book, and more! I was enamored by the relationship between Killian and Jameson, it was swoon-worthy and hot! This makes me want to go back and read all of the books starting from the first one. I have put them all on my TBR!
It took me several days to to come down from the high of reading this book. I can't do it justice but I'll give it a go anyway.
I adore the Sunrise Cowboys Universe which Kim Loraine has created with this series of books so I was thrilled to find out there was one more, and that it would be our broken music star Killian Wilde's story. Nobody writes such heartfelt characters that you instantly connect with like Kim Loraine and Killian is no exception. After his band imploded and the press and music industry and clamouring for him, Killian runs back to his safe place...his family in Sunrise, Montana. I don't blame him its a truly magical place but while he is safe and surrounded by his family he is still lost and broken and unable to write any music.
Enter the BEST scary manager ever, Jacqui, and her plan to pull Killian out of his funk. Force him to work with the British Rockstar Legend, Jameson Lorde who is also struggling to stay relevant in the ever changing industry. How will Killian react to his teenage idol being in his house, constantly pressuring him to come out of his shell and create again? Particularly when he is distractingly sexy. It is a delicious forced proximity, different worlds colliding MM romance with so many emotions that you will just be living this story with them.
The dynamic between Killian and Jameson is so expertly crafted you can't help but be swept up in their evolving love story. Jameson is relentless in his pursuit to make Killian re-find himself and his extraordinary talent and finds himself falling for the broken cowboy and its so heart-achingly sweet to see. But equally Killian rescues Jameson, the damaged soul with no family and always alone and becomes his home. The story is perfection, the chemistry electric but it is the heart in this book that makes it truly wonderful. Killian and Jameson are the dictionary definition of soulmates and their story really will make you believe in love.
This perfect transatlantic blending is perfectly personified in the performances of J.F Harding as Killian and James Joseph as Jameson. I actually had tears in my eyes listening to them as it is truly magical what they create together. I knew from the first time listening to them both in Obsession by K Loraine and Meg Anne that they belonged together. They needed to work on an MM story together because there is some kind of intrinsic chemistry they have which amplifies the beauty of their styles.
J.F Harding has taken over my life, and audible library, over the space of a year with his dangerous ability to portray vulnerability in his characters that makes you just want to wrap him up and protect him. Its a siren quality he has in his performances but he is able to bring out the playfulness and rugged charm as well making him my undisputed favourite American male narrator. Pairing him with the smoky, dulcet, confident London tones of James Joseph is a stroke of genius. James Joseph has such a magnetic quality to his voice which, Killian describes accurately as velvety, is bewitching.
But it is both of them together which will have you re-listening over and over again. They are both excellent at comedic timing and banter and really embody their characters so much that it is jaw-dropping to listen to. They are addictive and in my opinion two of the best actors, if not in romancelandia, than the world right now. That is not an overstatement. Like I said, I cannot do them justice but you need these two in your lives and if there are any authors or producers reading this, you seriously need to invest in getting these two together for your stories. #Jeddywho? They are the next big thing.
London Days and Montana Nights will be forever etched onto my soul and it perfectly encapsulates the power of J.F Harding and James Joseph as well as the lovers they portray. Thank you Kim for gifting this to us....finally.
Drive Me Wild will do just that, it will push you over the edge of pure ecstasy and rip you back with painful angst and longing before putting you back together with the sweetest and most beautiful of HEAs. It is the love story we all deserve. Bravo Kim Loraine, welcome to the roster of my forever authors.

Drive Me Wild By: Kim Loraine Narrated by: J.F. Harding, James Joseph, featuring Kim Loraine
Kim Loraine pens another amazing novel, a sizzling hot MM romance that captivates your attention and tugs at your heartstrings. It is great to be back at Wild Horse Ranch and to get another Wilde brother story, the illegitimate son, Killian Wilde. Killian, a country music star until his life spun out of control when the press revealed his true identity. Now he is living and working on the ranch instead of making music. He figured his record label was going to drop him, but they had other plans to breathe new life into his music career instead. They are pairing him up with another musician, Jameson Lorde, a British rock star who could also use a boost in his career. Killian is not the only one with issues, Jameson has a few of his own. Can these two really work together? The chemistry between them was certainly there, despite coming from two different worlds. These two were great together and for each other. I loved how everything played out, the writing, plotting, world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story has a perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Kim Loraine, thank you for another fabulous story and Wilde ride!
🎧📚🎧 And for the superb narration, Kim Loraine chose the best cast to bring her characters and story to life. J.F Harding and James Joseph were excellent as the two lead characters, Killian Wilde and Jameson Lorde, portraying their roles perfectly as the county cowboy and the British rockstar. Kim Loraine jumps in to cover the roles for the various female chapters, and she, too, performed each role perfectly. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions’ and projected them into their performance, having you feel them all. These entertaining storytellers make this already fabulous story even more enjoyable. Thank you for another fantastic listen.
My first book from this author solo. I've read things she's done in collaboration with another author, but this is my first solo written title.
This book is part of a larger universe of books. There are lots of characters we meet along the way that totally make me want to dive into the back list, but I never felt overwhelmed by not knowing the other stories. It was like a mild tickle of curiosity at some of them and some I probably didn't even pick up on. Great standalone score for this one.
This story focuses on Killian Wild, Country Music Star, Cowboy and gay man who fell for a friend/band mate that didn't share his feelings... He's in a slump now that his band has dissolved and while he's wallowing, his label has the brilliant idea to team him up with a British rocker that he has idolized for years... Jameson Lorde.
It's not quite enemies, but they definitely don't get off on the right foot. But the tension is high the more time these two men spend together. Also, the more they get to know each other while not writing, the more explosively good it feels when they do finally get down to making music (the real kind and the metaphorical kind).
These boys make me want to both knock their heads together with how they aren't communicating and swoon over the feels they both have down deep. And once they get on the same page... it's magical.
The audiobook was performed in duet style by JF Harding as Killian, James Joseph as Jameson and Stella Hunter as all the female voces. These two men put me through the wringer with how i wanted to react to their emotional journeys (see above re knocking heads). The internal turmoil they each go through, the pain and guilt that Killian still feels about what happened, it definitely colours his view of what can happen next. JF just nailed all the range from grumpy I-don't-wanna cowboy to I'm-going-after-my-man swoonfest. My previous experience with James was on the villain side of the coin where he made my skin crawl and this time he made me swoon and giggle as Jameson tried to fit into Killian's world and made me rage when he tried to do "what he thought was right". Stella is a queen and brings in some hitting side characters that make for some great interactions without ever taking the spotlight away from the main focus. I love her bunches.
I requested and was provided with an advance copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.
Jameson was very weird his first chapter. For someone who agreed to co-writing a song, idk why he suddenly started insulting Killian unprompted. Those insults didn't really make sense considering Killian was a stranger (so idk wtf kind of person just immediately starts insulting someone they clearly didn't know,l) AND on top of that, Jameson was staying over, so it made even less sense to antagonize his host given how much time they'd be spending together. I hesitate to think of any sane character that would willingly make their own time worse (and if Jameson was that kind of rude, self-sabotaging man then I needed to see a reason for it and not an off handed "Why am I such an asshole?" internal question)
Then Jameson proceeded to insult the shit out of Killian again in the following chapter, even going so far as to talk about his dad's death, but expects him to still write a song together??? The man has the gall to act surprised when Killian understandably tells him to fuck off and I was just sitting there like wtf.
Jameson's next chapter then expo dumps that he'd "jumped at the chance" to fix his failing career yet he was actively creating friction with the guy who was his "chance". HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?
I gave up when Killian just started acting civil to the dude who literally told him he was a Hollywood nepo baby who's only achievements were bought by money and his bandmates talent. You can't expect me to believe that Killian would even deign to give Jameson the time of day for anything (especially after he started talking about Killian's dead dad) when literally every single interaction Killian and Jameson had had were antagonistic. That screams lazy characterization.
I’m so excited to go back to the Sunshine Cowboys world. “Drive Me Wild” is a heartfelt, swoony and steamy MM cowboy rockstar romance that had me swooning and smiling so hard.
Killian Wilde is back on the ranch after his successful band broke up and he’s been in a slump ever since. His manager sets him up with Jameson Lorde, British bad boy rock star. Jameson has also been in a slump since his last album and he’s determined to get back on top with his music. The two clash at first but soon realize that they have a chemistry when it comes to music and also on a more personal level.
I loved this story and devoured it in one sitting because I could not stop listening. Killian and Jameson have such great banter and I loved how they worked together to write their music. They found a common ground on the ranch and that translated to them being friends and letting the chemistry take over. They also connected on difficult pasts despite coming from different parts of the world. The tension and chemistry was off the charts hot. I loved having some of the siblings show up and getting updates from them. The ending left me with a huge smile on my face. And the bonus scene was sizzling hot.
J.F. Harding and James Joseph narrate in duet and I loved listening to them bring this story to life. J.F. makes the perfect brooding cowboy with his deep voice and accent. And I giggled so hard at the first “Hiya” from James. His performance as the bad boy rock star was so good. I loved having Stella Hunter for the female voices. Her narrations are of the characters are always perfect.
"I hated how aware I was of him. His presence was electric, a force of nature I could sense."
Drive Me Wild by Kim Loraine is a M/M rockstar romance that takes us back to Sunrise, Montana. Killian Wilde and his band were the hot, new stars on the country circuit… until the band broke up. Now he is a lost cowboy that doesn’t feel good enough to continue without his band, but doesn’t quite fit in on the family ranch either. Thankfully Killian’s manager and record label have not given up on him yet. They have paired him up with Jameson Lorde, British bad boy rockstar, who also happens to be Killian’s idol since he was a kid. Can Killian and Jameson make his “little bit country” and his “little bit rock and roll” out to be the next big thing? Will Killian rediscover the confidence in himself and his all-consuming love for music again? Will Killian and Jameson make more than just beautiful music together? (wink wink) Drive Me Wild is a duet narration with J.F. Harding as Killian, James Joseph as Jameson, and the fabulous Stella Hunter as the various female characters. Their performances evoke so much emotion and take the listener on a stunning adventure of love, soul-searching and finding where you belong. Drive Me Wild is a stand-alone novel, but is book 10 in the Sunrise Cowboys series. We highly recommend starting from the beginning, because disappearing into the Sunrise, Montana world of swoon-worthy cowboys is an enjoyable journey. Kim Loraine will always be at the top of our one-click author list. She never fails to make us fall in love again and again!
Kim Loraine writes the best cowboys and Drive Me Wild is another great addition to the Sunrise Cowboys series! This opposites attract, forced proximity love story between cowboy/country singer Killian Wilde and British rock star Jameson Lorde is the perfect addition to the series and gives us a chance to see all of our favorite characters from Sunrise, Montana once again. Killian and Jamie are forced to work together in the hopes of bringing both of their careers back to life. Their chemistry is undeniable, both personally and musically. In the process of making beautiful music together, they bring each other back to life as well. This story is full of swoon, steam and great banter. I loved these characters and this return to Sunrise. Here’s hoping Kim lets us visit again someday soon!
JF Harding makes the perfect cowboy. His southern accent is so smooth and he makes your heart ache for the uncertainty that Killian feels about himself and his future as a singer. James Joseph is wonderful in his portrayal of the swoony Brit with a heart of gold. He makes us fall a little harder for Jameson when we see (and hear) just how much he cares for Killian and the lengths he’ll go to in order to help him succeed. Stella Hunter portrays all of the female side characters and really makes the most of them. She is always amazing and shines even in these smaller roles. Excellent storytelling all around!
“I wanted to be the one to put him back together, just like I knew he could do the same for me.”
I loved Drive Me Wild when I first read it, so I jumped at the chance to listen to the audio early! Kim Loraine is the queen of writing steamy cowboy romance and Drive Me Wild is one of her best! This angst-filled, city slicker meets down and out cowboy musician novella tugs at the heartstrings. Jameson Lorde is a hot Brit & rock legend. Killian Wilde is a country superstar hiding out at his family’s ranch after a string of bad luck. Will the seasoned rock god help the young country music star find his confidence and magic once again? Despite Killian’s snark, their connection was instant. What began as a project to boost Killian, might just save them both.
J.F. Harding and James Joseph are a hot new narration duo and they’ll make you melt! I love all styles of narration, but the use of duet with Drive Me Wild hits even deeper. J.F. and James balance each other perfectly. I loved their back and forth; whether it was snarky banter or romantic whispers, they’re performances were outstanding. Stella Hunter was wonderful as the voice of a few supporting female characters. Her characterization range is stellar and entertaining as always. If you’re looking for a quick, fun, heartwarming steamy M/M romance, Drive Me Wild is a must-listen!
Drive Me Wild by Kim Loraine was such a sweet, sexy, steamy song in my ears. I loved Killian & Jameson’s collab to love story!
The bottom dropped out of Killian Wilde’s life when his band, Big Sky, broke up and left him adrift. He returned home to his family’s ranch in Sunrise, Montana hoping to figure out what comes next. Jameson Lorde’s career is in need of a major boost before he becomes a footnote in rock and roll history.
When their agent suggests that a partnership between the foundering country artist and the potential has-been would be the thing to put them both back in the spotlight, Killian and Jameson think she’s nuts. But they start writing together and magic happens. Can this new partnership hold them together for the long run on and off the stage?
J. F. Harding highlighted Killian’s vulnerability and lack of direction while James Joseph brought out Jameson’s compassion and drive. Both narrators gave top-notch performances in this audio!
This swoony-cowboy-meets-hot-rockstar romance is so hot, sweet, and wonderfully written it is firmly on my list of favorites! Kim Loraine’s wonderful world of Sunrise Cowboys is one of my favorite series and I have been patiently awaiting Killian’s story. This book has everything - swoony cowboys, a hot rockstar, forced proximity, stubborn characters who can’t get out of their own way, hot-as-hell love scenes. Loved every moment! Their attraction is electric, but I really enjoyed how their friendship and mutual respect develops over time into a relationship built on trust. Add the extremely strong attraction and you have some seriously hot fireworks and climaxing cowboys - OH MY!!
James Joseph and J.F. Harding are simply stunning in duet!! They are both very high on my narrator-motived list of favorites, but I have already listened to this book multiple times and will do so again. I love visiting Sunrise! Stella Hunter is featured for the lady parts, which is perfect - of course!
Thank you Kim Loraine for the ALC in exchange for this honest review! What an amazing MM romance by Kim Loraine! This one really pulled at my emotions and I felt really connected to the characters. Drive Me Wild is so much more than a cowboy/music romance as it focuses on two completely different men who come together to heal after their hearts have been completely broken in life. The plot focuses on Killian Wilde, a struggling country music star who has hidden himself at his family ranch in Sunrise, Montana after he thinks his music career has ended. His manager, Jacqui, has other plans! She invites Jameson Lorde, older rockstar, to the family ranch to do a duet album with Killian. They bond over more than just the music! I don't want to spoil anything so you'll have to read to find out if they can save their careers and possibly a romance!
J.F. Harding as Killian and James Joseph as Jameson did an amazing performance that had me on the edge of seat and really invoked my emotions throughout the story! The sprinkle of Stella Hunter also added so much more. I highly recommend checking this one out!
His band broke up and Killian is hiding out on the ranch trying not to deal with the reality of being on his own and the intense writer's block he is dealing with. He is a songwriter who cannot write a song at the moment. Thank goodness for his manager who sets him up with Jameson Lorde, a British rock star she brings to the ranch to write with. It is not an easy blend at first. He didn't ask for Jameson although he is attracted to him. But from that passionate initial dislike and discord comes a way forward. Jameson works with Killian on the ranch and that helps them to break the ice, get to know one another and get on with why they are together in the first place. They not only write good music together, they fall in love.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As a standalone in the Sunrise Cowboys series, the story revolves around Killian Wilde, a country music sensation thrust into the limelight as a Wilde family member. Paired with the British bad boy rocker Jameson Lorde for a co-written album, the forced collaboration at Wilde Horse Ranch ignites both animosity and undeniable chemistry. Listening to the audiobook narrated by James Joseph, J.F. Harding, and Stella Hunter heightened the experience, bringing the characters to life. Despite not having read all the previous series entries, the narrative, though occasionally dwelling on past events, delivered a charming blend of angst and romance. Killian's journey, paired with the rocky evolution of his relationship with Jameson, makes this MM cowboy rockstar romance a compelling listen for enthusiasts of the genre.
This is definitely what I would call a feel good read. I listened to this on audio and the narration took the experience to another level! It’s done in duet which, in my opinion, is the absolute best way to experience an audiobook. James Joseph was amazing as the British rocker Jamison and I adored Killian’s character portrayal by J.F. Harding. Both characters have unique accents and the story was so much fun to listen to with such awesome narration. Both Killian and Jamison are stuck in limbo in their careers and are forced together in the hopes of making a magical connection musically. The chemistry between these two is instant. I had no trouble feeling that part of their relationship, I just wish we felt more of a romantic connection. It is still a great listen, especially if you are short on time and want a quick story.
Drive Me Wild, by Kim Loraine Narrated in Duet by James Joseph, JF Harding, and featuring Stella Hunter This is the 10th book in the series but is a standalone. Killian Wild is an award-winning country musician whose band has recently broken up. He is not handling it well, having hunkered down at his family’s ranch in Montana. His agent shows up one day with a rock musician in tow; the very rock musician Killian has had crush on for many years. Jameson Lord hasn’t been able to write a hit since his award-winning album 4 yrs ago, but agent Jackie has decided these two musicians should collaborate on something new. HOT sex scenes, Excellent narration, and insight into the rest of the ranch siblings makes me want to listen to the entire series!
2 opposite musicians on a ranch making music and riding horses…need I say more?!?
This MM romance was a fantastic short and easy to read book that mixed together a cowboy and a rockstar! Killian’s band broke up as they were hitting it big while Jameson is a rockstar who has become washed up and stale. Their manager brings them together to collaborate on some music at Killian’s ranch. There is tension and chemistry from the start but can these 2 broken men come together to create new music?
Singing Cowboy Rock God Forced Proximity Slow Burn
🎧LOVED this book on audio and have to rave about it!!
This audiobook is a duet narration with not only J.F. Harding and James Joseph but also Stella Hunger narrating all of the female supporting characters in this MM romance. I did not realize she was going to be narrating as well so I squealed when I heard her voice for the first time because it just brought even more life to this story and made it feel like a full cast!
J.F. Harding is one of my favorite narrators for a southern cowboy! He narrates Killian and delivered an outstanding performance that had me swooning with his deeper tone and accent! Then there is James Joseph. I am not usually a fan of British accents BUT this man came along and changed my mind! His voice reminds me of the British character, Alfie from Emily in Paris and I just LOVED him!! He was so delightful as Jameson and had me melting every time he spoke!!
Stella, Stella, Stella!! Way to join the audio and completely elevate it! She narrates their manager and all the female voices phenomenally in this book! I love the personality and tone she used for each person she portrayed which just took this audio up a notch!
HIGHLY recommend listening to this one on audio!!!
You don't have to twist my arm to read anything by Kim Loraine, especially if a Wilde is part of the story!
Narration by JF Harding and James Joseph (with Stella Hunter). Listen, put these 2 voices together and I know it's going to be gooooood!! Killian Wilde is in need of inspiration to continue his music career on the path of rising star. Jameson Lorde, bad boy rocker, is in need of an inspiration injection to revive his rock god status. Together they make music on and off the stage.
If you're familiar with K Loraine books you know you're getting all the smexy times, plus characters that have you turning each page (or listening to the next chapter) and an HEA!
I absolutely adored this forced proximity, small town, mm romance. Killian has intrigued me for a while now, and to witness him get his happily ever after was fantastic.
This was such a good, quick read. The couple was great, the setting is perfection, the little bit of drama was what I've come to expect from Kim's storytelling, and catching up with the Wilde boys was everything I wanted it to be. Jameson and Killian are wonderful together. They push each other, and balance each other perfectly.
If you've enjoyed all of the other books in the Sunrise Cowboys series, then you NEED to read Drive Me Wild.
Drive Me Wild was an angsty rockstar romance and I loved Killian and Jameson so much. These two had an instant connection from the moment they met but both tried. I loved seeing these two grow closer with the music they created. Jameson and Killian had me swooning, frustrated sometimes, and left me smiling in the end. I absolutely adored this couple.
James Joseph and J.F. Harding narrated this book in duet and they sounded so good together. They were both able to capture their characters emotions and vulnerabilities and gave wonderful performances. We also get Stella Hunter voicing the female characters in this story and I loved her as Jameson an Killian’s manager.
read in "pride not prejudice: volume 2" anthology.
ryker ranch series.
killian and jameson, two failing musicians, are forced to work together or be dropped from their label. the first half is nothing but annoying bickering and petty insults from both parties. not a turn on, and not enjoyable to read. eventually they let their instalove out. until jameson decides he *has* to leave for killian's sake. never mind they love each other. and finally killian goes after jameson and they get their happily ever after. M-M.
i didn't care for all the hurtful insults in this one.
"to future us." "why future us?" "because current us is a hot fucking mess."
Drive Me Wild is the tenth and latest book in the Sunrise Cowboys series. I have read, purchased and enjoyed most of this series. So I was interested in picking up the latest addition to a series that started back in 2019. I will confess that MM is not really my reading jam but I love the author's books and the previous books in the series so I dove into the story of Killian Wilde and Jameson Lorde. This story is emotion filled with wonderfully developed characters, an interesting and at times surprising story-line, and a romance that plays out beautifully.
This was a great read from Kim Loraine! I think it was her first m/m and I have to say it was really good for her first! I hope she writes more in the future. Jameson and Killian couldn’t be more different but they have one thing in common, music. It’s in their soul and both of them together is magic. They just have to get over themselves so that they can make that magic. But falling in love wasn’t in their plans. But good things plans change they just have to get over their pasts so they can have a future. I really enjoyed this book and I’m excited to read more from Kim soon.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh how I wish I’d found the Sunrise Cowboys before. Drive me Wild was a great great book but I was bit overwhelmed by all the other characters I clearly missed out on. All the brothers and sisters in law and their epic love stories. But, J.F. Harding, James Joseph and Stella Hunter were my favourite part of this audiobook. Both JF and James added personality to their characters, making them truly unique. Stella brought a little something extra to the female voices making this a great duet audio.
