A Really terrific; the best beginner's surfing book for women. Lots of fantastic practical advice about everything from which wax to use in which temperatures to wipeouts to starting to surf--practical, interesting, fabulous! I LOVE this book. Recommended to all wannabe and beginning surfers.

I read this, and I want credit on my reading challenge. Even if it is not a novel with plot. Leave me alone, I'm 8 books behind.

I read this book back to front in 2010 when surfing became an obsession of mine and now, five years on, the book is falling apart, covered in scribbles and highlighter pen.
It has taught me so much about the one sport that granted I still suck at but am completely and entirely in love with.
Definitely a good book to read if you plan on taking up surfing (and your a girl....).

I like the illustrations and break down of beaches is pretty cool. I remember there being funny comments like, "don't let a strange man borrow your surfboard and etc". I was bored at work and it was sitting on the desk. It killed time and I got a few good laughs.

I thought I learned a lot....until I went out and really surfed. Yup, surfing is NOT something you can figure out how to do by reading a book! But it was cute!
