Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.

I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.

There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.

Thank you for checking out my stories!

This They Will Defend
by Martha Carr and Michael Anderle
This is a Warriors 2, book #1. It has warriors, in teams, on special missions. The teams may have special powers, or their bodies have special powers. Very interesting missions. At times, the main female character gets a bit annoying. But I think that may be her character flaw.

I really enjoyed this book.

In this, it's Emily Trigger, one of Idina's fellow team members, from Bravo Team, who is the focus of the story.

Throughout all the previous books in the Warrior 1 series, we've been shown Trigger as someone who lives up to her name, with a hair trigger temper, that goes with her magic, of using a super-fast speed to get things done.

In this book, we get to know some of her backstory, and how her rather loose definition of obeying orders, leaves a team member hurt, and their Commander, Richard MacBlair, giving Trigger one last chance to make things right.

This leads Trigger to joining up with another Hellion Team, on a Mission that seems impossible.

But Trigger is determined to make things right, and will do everything possible to do so!

I really loved learning more about Trigger - finding out that her first name is Emily for one, plus others of Bravo Team's first names, too.

It made them far more real to me, which I'm sure was the point, as Martha and Michael had used Idina's first name throughout the Warrior 1 series!

I'm now eager to go on to Book Two of this series: 'Adapt, Overcome, Defeat', and so I'll quickly finish this review, so I can start it, to see what's happening next.

So, once I've done so, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!

Demi God

Trigger and her new team are sent into the Amazon jungle to hunt down an escaped magical Demi God before it can take over the world. Since Trigger got hit by a strange weapon on her last mission, which is giving her a new power, things are a little off kilter. It is great to get a glimpse of the old team in this book and to meet a new one, I am looking forward to many more books in this series.

Wow

Trigger and her team are watching the Russians head to buy weapons. While she is watching them she noticed a group of US military prisoners. She rescues them but in doing so screws up the mission. Because of her actions she is placed with another team. Read to see what happens.

Took me a bit by surprise with Trigger s first name

I thought it was a different character maybe related to trigger or something. Until realized it was just told from her perspective. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Also hoping that some of the other characters from bravo team will get their own stories as well.

Hooray, Warrior

Thank goodness a new Warrior story. I missed Idina and the gang! Oh Emily, you absolutely messed up! This looks like a great new series starting with the massive mistake by Emily. What new twist to her magic? Can’t wait for the next.

A fantastic book.

The Warriors are at it again. We have new and old characters in this second series. I highly recommend reading the first series before starting this one, otherwise it will be hard to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and can't wait to read the next one.

Fun new series

Learning more about one of the side characters from the previous series has been a refreshing change in direction and pace. Visiting the jungle and exploring ancient history has made a great beginning!

Great addition to the original collection

I enjoyed the first collection and am not disappointed with the beginning of this series. New characters, new adventures and a look into a Bravo Team Member Emily Trigger. Trials and tribulations!
